 + -1 moreThe serviceman did a great job. Re-aligned our door to satisfaction. He did tell us we needed a new garage door within the next 12 months. The garage door panels are cracking and the noise it makes will be getting worse and worse. He did give us a quote on a new door as well. Will probably be calling within the next year for this new garage door.
Description of Work: Called these folks up to re-align our garage door. We also had some issues with the garage door making some loud noises when it was closing. Cincinnati Door put us on the schedule right away and the service man came to re-align our garage door system

Description of Work: Great experience. My husband was out of town when our garage door broke. Cincinnati Door was able to come out the next day and replace the broken spring. They were fair and upfront about what was wrong and what was needed to correct it. Nobody tried to upsell me anything and tack on any extras.

 + -1 moreThey set up a service call within a few days around our schedule, were on time, and repaired the garage quickly. Not knowing the age of the other spring on the double door, I asked them to check those as well and replace as needed. The repair person checked the spring and reported it was a new spring, and did not need to be replaced. Very honest, and did a very good job.
Description of Work: We purhased our 12 year old home last year knowing that there could be some repairs. The home is 3 car, with a large double door, and a single. This past week, the garage door spring snapped on the single door garage door and I called Cincinnati Door and opener to replace the spring.

 + -1 moreI contacted the owner, Steve, and described the issue. I explained that I wanted someone to come out and take a look at the door. I asked about the cost for an estimate. He explained that it was $99 to come out and that included labor. I asked him, based on the description of the issue, what he thought the issue could be. He said it could be several things and the worse case would be a part needed to be replaced. I scheduled the appointment and he said the technician would call between 8 & 9, and he did. The technician scheduled a time frame in which he would arrive, between 12 & 3. He arrived at 12 and took a look at the door. He identified the issue and explained it to my husband, as I was not present. My husband was very pleased at how he explained the issue and mentioned to me that the way he explained it was not as if he was talking down to him but so that anyone could follow and understand. My husband also mentioned that the technician oiled some of the parts and advised my husband that due to wear and tear, we may want to give the company a call in a year or so to come out and replace a spring, which would be covered under the $99 service call that took place on July 17. This type of service is what we as hard working individuals truly appreciate. My husband and I are very happy with the work and the service and we will definately call upon Cincinnati Door for any future needs.

Both Steve Penn and the young man (Beldon) performing the work were extremely professional and customer-oriented. Beldon was extremely knowledgable about the garage doors, as he was able to find and pushthe reset button on mine. These are older doors (installed 1996) and the reset button was located on the back of the garage door apparatus and covered by the small electrical box. Beldon installed the new rollers, removed the old ones, cleaned the tracks and the doors. When he finished, they looked brand new!Beldon also explained that it would be increase the life of the garage doors if they were kept free of debris. I am so thrilled with my interactions to date on Angie's List. The companies I am working with/have worked with are outstanding.
Description of Work: I called Cincinnati Door & Opener on 7/10/2012 and spoke with Steve Penn. He was extremely professional and customer-oriented. He worked with me to find an agreeable time and date for my garage door to be fixed (7/12/2012).. In addition, I took advantage of the special on Angie's List of $129.00 for new nylon roller replacement on my garage door. Steve told me I would receive a call between 8 and 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning to determine what time the door would be repaired and new rollers installed. The call came in at 8:30 a.m. and the young man said he would arrive at my home between 9:00 and 11:00 am. He was there by 9:30 a.m. When the young man came to service my door, he listened to how the door was "broken" and had it fixed within two minutes! He found the reset button that enabled the garage door to function properly. I asked him which door should be given the new nylon rollers and he explained that for an additional $70.00 I could have new nylon rollers installed on both doors. Since the doors where originally installed in 1996, I decided it was definitely worth the money to have the new rollers installed on both doors. It took less than 1 hours for the doors to have the new nylon rollers installed, oiled, and cleaned. Since my garage doors are in good condition, they should last quite a while. I was totally impressed with the professionalism, price, and customer service I received from both Steve Penn and the young manwho came to service the doors.

 + -1 moreCalled over the weekend because the spring to the garage door broke. First thing Monday morning they called back and said someone would call withing the hour to schedule a time. They did call and came that day. Suggested both springs be replaced and my husband asked how long do the springs last since they had replaced the garage door less than 4 years before. They covered one of the springs under warranty. This is the second time they have been extremely honest, besides normal good professional work.

It worked! They also sell doors, so he answered some questions about my front door. He really knew what he was doing, so I didn't have to worry about their work.

 + -1 moreNot much to tell here. We bought the deal about three months ago with the idea that we would have the work done when the weather improved, probably sometime in April. In early April we called to have the service done. It was completed within the week. The provider was excellent in every respect. Probably the best news here is that there was no hidden agenda, no pressure to do something that did not need to be done, the tech was anxious to provide a useful service, and he was experienced and capable.
Description of Work: Two garage doors were serviced. Tension on the springs was adjusted. All rollers were replaced with improved rollers. Appropriate lubrication was applied. Tracking and operation was inspected and corrected as necessary. Then the tech added a keypad which I had but had not installed and he replaced a switch/button to operate one of the doors. Again, I had the switch but I had not installed it.
