BACK TREE SERVICE

We called and they responded within 2 days. Our ash tree was treated that day. The mulching/fertilizer was applied the next day. They also looked at 2 other trees and advised on future treatment.

I have nine or ten ash trees and they are doing great. I have many neighbors that have lost their ash trees but none of mine have been affected. I had a problem with mold on one of my trees. I used a competitor for many years and the spray he sprayed didn't do much for the tree. They injected it with something and I have no mold this year. He did a magnificent job at saving my trees. I think the pricing was a little high but the work was amazing. He worked out a payment plan with me.

They were the most reasonable and they were able to give us more information than anybody else did like what the services were and what it would entail. They were punctual.

Did not meet with personally. Left note describing work and they left a quote matching my sketch with specific pricing for the work I described. Gave them an A for quality because they obviously paid attention to the details in the sketch/note I left for them. Plan to call them back out in late 2009 to do the work as their quote was cheaper than a second tree service.

Did not use them for work. Much too expensive.

Very good. They cut the trees and removed the "mulchables", leaving me the logs to cut myself(as requested). They moved the heavy uncut logs to the closer to the driveway to make it more convenient for me to cut and split.

They did very good work. I don't remember how to grade the punctuality, no comparison and everyone was having problems with trees at this point. I was happy with the time they showed up in, however.

They helped offer alternatives to cutting down my tree after a hurricane damaged it. They did a great job on mending the tree.

The workmen were expeditious and communicative. The neighbor's back fence was damaged, but the company repaired; however, THE PRICE WAS RAPACIOUS! Since I had used the company previously and was anxious to have the tree removed quickly, I foolishly did not bid the job. The insurance company would only credit half of the cost and I have since heard of similar jobs professionally done for friends and neighbors for about half the cost as well. I did try to negotiate the price down with Mr. Back, but he held firm, and I paid it. Live and learn.

Great. Quote was the best of the three quotes I received. Staff was friendly and professional. No surprises during the process.

Didn't contract with this company to do the work. I would have appreciated an itemized break down in pricing for the work they thought should be done, so I would know what the cost would have been for what I plan to have done.

My experience with them can be best explained by the 3-Ps. They were Punctual both when the said they would be here for the estimate and when they said the would be here for the job. They were Polite the crew introduced themselves when they started and answered all my questions with a knowledgeable answer and a "yes sir" or "no sir". They were Professional. The work was performed expertly and they cleaned up the work site totally. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did what they promised to do. They did the job in a timely fashion. The clean up was excellent. I felt like the price was fair for the work that they had to do.

They got here when they said they were going too, and did what they said they were going to do. The price was in the ballpark of where it should be. I would recommend them.

Took a couple weeks to get an appointment for the estimate, but the day after I faxed back the quote acceptance the tree was removed and the stump ground. They did such a good job cleaning up, I did not notice for a few days that the tree had been removed.

Back tree answered the phone immediately when called at 9:30 a.m. By 10:30 a.m. two men from their company arrived with a bucket truck. At 1:30 p.m. their boss phoned me to let me know (and approve) the use of a crane which was also necessary to lift the big pieces. This required 2 additional men. The crew sent was polite and professional. They worked from 10:30 a.m. until well after 5 p.m. They cleaned up everything. I was extremely pleased with their work. However, it was expensive.

Very professional. Came out & did an estimate. All workers were very courteous & did a great job. Cleaned up afterward. We have landscaping planned for this Fall, but Mr. Back wanted to mulch the tress in those areas, then he said he'd come back and do them again in the Fall at no cost if we would let him do it now. He really cared about the health of our trees!

I called for an estimate and left a detailed message with the receptionist. We only wanted one limb removed that was scraping our roof. The estimate ignored my specific request. Instead I got an estimate for $700 to clear all limbs from over the roof and several hundred dollars for a tree I didn't even ask about. For this useless estimate we were charged $50. I received a vaguely threatening phone call a few weeks later from the receptionist asking when we were going to schedule the work because she "wouldn't want to have to charge interest on our outstanding bill (for the estimate.) The computer adds the interest all by itself."

Went according to plan and met my expectations.

Great job, everything was completed per the job. They are always professional and I wouldn't consider using anyone else.

They did a very good job. I had done work with another company the year before and things had not worked out as well as it did with Back Tree.

Badly. Tim Back gave me the estimate, said it would be scheduled about three weeks out. Three weeks out I called them because I was trying to schedule the work during the week I was home from work doing chores. Tim called back and said it would either be Thursday or Friday. I had to call back again to find out which and what time. Around 2:30 was the time they expected to be there. At almost 5:00 I called the office to find out where they were. Equipment troubles and traffic had delayed them but nobody called me to even alert me. Then I got no apologies just a lot of excuses that ranged from the poor guys agreeing to work late to believe it or not the emerald ash borer. Then they got there 4 hours late and dug two holes in the front yard severing buried downspouts before finally getting a place that worked. Not their fault; extension of bad karma. I watered; tree leaned left; they had to come back to straighten. No communication about how long to leave staked. Characteristic.

I called for an estimate on removing my tree, because it was leaning a lot towards my house. Tim Back came out a few weeks later (not an urgent matter) and provided a detailed estimate, with a series of options (grinding stump, removal of stump mulch, and addition of soil). Once I called to confirm that I wanted the work done, they had someone out the next morning to remove the tree. Within an hour, the tree was down and all the additional work was done. They left a clean work site, and you wouldn't even know a tree had been there!

Very professional. They do their job and price seems to be consistent with what they do. They clean up well afterwards.

They scheduled the estimate and arrived when promised. They left the estimate in our mailbox since I wasn't home. It was the most detailed of any estimate I received, including additional ''options'' like stump grinding and reseeding the lawn and the prices for each. In the end, it was just too expensive. The options were priced ok, but the cost to cut the tree down was too high.
