Tech was pleasant/professional. He cut and replaced a section of the kitchen drain pipe. The cold water side of the bathroom faucet leaked, he fixed that and I had him replace the ring on the hot water one, too. I asked him to look at the toilet because it doesn't flush consistently. He lifted the lid and saw calcification in the bottom of the bowl and said it's an old model and that I needed a new toilet. He thought it wasn't worth repairing. I haven't hired a plumber for quite awhile so i was surprised at how much it cost to do relatively simple repairs. They don't offer any Angie's List discounts so I will probably use another company that does in the future.

They called before they arrived, were neat and friendly, and did exactly what was quoted and what I wanted. A+

They are the plumber we have always used and we have been pleased. They get the job done and seem in the ballpark for what it should cost.

They are a local company which I like. They had to come back twice to get the work done right with the valves. Scheduling an appointment is just fine.

They were very helpful in working around and helping us create a timeline since they would need to come at different stages with us doing work in between. We had a couple problems with the tub leaking, but they were very responsive, getting people out to fix it first thing and not charging us for the repairs. Their technicians were very personable and full of advice for us as went through our renovation. This was our first major home renovation project and they really made us feel that we were in good hands. I've also called them for other minor issues we've had around the house during the years and they've always been punctual and professional.

Two very friendly, professional plumbers showed up and got started. We had a good laugh at the underside of my sink and they even took a picture. Unfortunately they discovered I needed a new disposal and had to send #2 to get one so that took some time. They did want to educate me on disposal quality but I did want to afford the best. In the meantime, I asked #1 for an estimate of an upstairs faucet issue. He was more than willing but also wanted to tear into it. we did not have time or money for that on this visit. Only negative I can say is we would have liked to have more formal looking bill and estimate vs handwritten and would think that would be standard operating procedure.

I have used them for years and they are very nice people. They are responsive and their prices are competitive.

The first thing that happened (and I should have know at this point that it was not going to turn out well) is that they didn't show up on the day that we arranged to have them come to my home. When I called, they acknowledged that I was scheduled, but basically said they now didn't have time. I don't think they were going to call me ... and of course no apology. I understand that this happens, but a phone call would have been appropriate given that I had been waiting all day. So, second try, two guys showed up, and it took a long time for them to find the leak in ceiling and took an exceptionally large portion of my kitchen ceiling out which of course I needed to call someone else to repair. They did eventually find and fix the leak, but then didn't have time to look at the leaking faucet ... they told me to call and schedule another time. Then later that day, water came through the ceiling, so I called them back. It turned out they created another problem with the nozzle on my shower when they had removed it to figure out the problem. Not only did they not acknowledge it when returning, they blamed me ... and said that they really should charge me for another visit ... again, no time to address the leaking faucet. I still did try to get them to come back to fix the faucet because it was a Kohler faucet, and they are one of the only plumbers I knew of who work with Kohler. I never could get them to come back despite repeated tries ... I don't think they felt it was worth the time. I did eventually find someone else to repair the faucet. I would NEVER call them again ... very unprofessional. I would have given this review at the time, but was not a member of Angie's list. When I saw the high grade, it makes me question the rest of the scores here ... definitely beware if you use this business.

They are great. They were prompt, helpful, and thorough in explaining the details of the work.

They have always been good. They are dependable and do not create unnecessary work. It's a little more expensive but I know they know what they are doing and it is worth the price.

On the Saturday of 4th of July weekend, we had a heavy thunderstorm, and I went to the basement to check the windows. I could see water flowing out of the hole for the sump pump. We called the plumber, but he had no one to send, probably due to the same thunderstorm. He spent the time on the phone to talk me through removing the sump pump, and then I drove to his store. While I waited there, he got out a new pump and hooked up the necessary pipes from the old pump, which was another thing I did not know how to do. I was able to take the new pump home and hook it up. His willingness to help clearly saved me a lot of damage.

Repair persons were prompt and performed the replacement of the sump pump in less than a hour. Clean, friendly and professional. Outstanding service.

Ralph Vilardo supervised the on-site job and he is a pleasure to work with. The job was exceptionally well done and delivered below the original estimate. Additionally, the crew noticed that one of my gutters was separated from the house and they fixed the gutter (way beyond the scope of what I asked them to do). They did an excellent job filling the trenched and preparing the soil so that I can reseed the areas. Anderson Hills Plumbing is a first class operation (I have used them on several other occasions for plumbing work both outside and inside our home).

I've used this company in the past and hate to say anything negative about them as they are really nice people and I'll probably use them again, but I was a little disappointed this time. They were working in the finished side of my basement and needed to do some soldering in a tight place behind a paneled wall and over a suspended ceiling. The guy doing the soldering kept lowering his left arm while holding the burning torch near my finished wall, not paying attention to it at all, as he inspected his completed solder joints. When he burned a wall stud that the paneling was attached to, you'd think that he'd realize that he should be more careful, but he kept doing this until he burned the frame of a mirror that was attached to the wall. I told him not to worry about it as the mirror was old, but rather than apologize, he commented that it "added character to the mirror". Also, there seemed to be a lack of communication as to what toold ans supplies they needed. First, I gave them a step stool, shop towel and bucket. Then, about 3 times, the helper apparently had taken items that the plumber needed back out to the truck. Once, he was missing a 1/2 inch pipe cleaner and said he'd "make do" with what I think was emory cloth. When this happened again with a 3/4 inch pipe cleaner misplaced, I loaned him mine. Another thing that bothers me is that after soldering the the top of a pressure reducer with a backflow preventer to my home's main supply line, the reducer was dripping water, which to me indicated that the backflow valve wasn't sealing. The plumber made a comment about this also, but rather than investigate, went ahead and soldered the bottom section. Finally, the guys didn't clean up after they were done---not a huge mess, but I was surprised they didn't offer.

Cost was exactly what was quoted. Showed up early, was done by original time of appointment. Not our first experience. Never disappointed

A day after returning from an out-of-town trip, I found water streaming out of the overflow pipe on our water heater. I turned off the water supply line to the water heater, and called Anderson Hills Plumbing the following morning. The water heater is 8+ years old, so I feared that we'd have to replace it. Two servicemen, Andy and Ryan, came around 10 that morning, and Andy said he didn't think the water heater needed to be replaced. Instead, he replaced the temperature and relief valve, and installed a thermal expansion tank to the supply line. With tax, this cost $306, which is far less then what a new water heater would have cost. Time will tell if this fix will do the trick, but so far, there are no leaks, and the floor remains dry. Andy and Ryan were both knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Andy was very good about explaining the work he performed, both before, during, and after. They were here for about 1.5 hours. I was very pleased with them, and with Anderson Hills Plumbing. I shall continue to call them for my plumbing needs.

They are very good company. You can trust them and their people do very good work. They are a little pricey.

Sometimes you get a veteran and sometimes you get a new person with little experience. the serviceover the past 5 years has been unreliable. that is why we joined Angies list.

They were very courteous, clean, and willing to explain what they were doing. We were quite happy with them. I would give an A+ for Professionalism. We will continue to use them in the future.

The guys, Troy and another plumber, were great to work with. Anderson Hills has done other projects and repairs for us throughout the years with quality plumbers every time. This was no exception. This was the first time they had worked with us in this house which we moved to three years ago from an older house in the Mt. Lookout neighborhood. The guys were very happy to explain what work needed to be done or what they could do and why for each of the issues I was having. They gave me a detailed explanation of why the regulator can fail over time and what they could accomplish by installing a new one. They worked with me to determine the best place to install the new exterior faucet. They also truly listened to why using the drain for the other outside faucets was so difficult and that the process to winterize them was really convoluted and messy. They took my suggested solution about adding a second shutoff valve and made it even better than my original idea.

I think they are a terrific company. We have used them for our plumbing issues for twenty-one years. We would not use another company.
