Do not use this company!!! The movers are great! The office staff can not understand time and scheduling. We were told the movers would be there between 12-3 when I scheduled the move. Then the day before the move the office said they would be there between 12-4. The day of the move the movers did not get there until 5:30 pm and the office person said there would be 4 movers yet there were only 3 movers that showed up. No apology or anything just blew me off like hahaha you got screwed and we have your money.

They were to do a simple, relatively small cross - town move. They were late, rude, unprofessional, unprepared, and overpriced. We are never going to use them again! There are way too many other options out there.

RUN from these people!! They are the sleaziest. After our move was over, and I had paid the agreed upon fee, unbeknownst to me, they charged my card another $500 'gas fee". Even though the quoted amount included the truck, time and gas to get to our destination. I never authorized this fee, as I had the other two that I signed for. When I called, Ethan was horribly rude and an a**, when I explained that this must have been a mistake, and to please credit my account. He said, "Nope. Not gonna do that. Your out of luck," even though he knew they were trying to steal from me. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and the joke's on them. I disputed my credit card charge, and they'll never get the money. They are scum bags!

My daughter hired this company to move her and they never showed up. They originally said they would come between 11 am and 5pm, but would call when they were about 1 hour out. At 4:30pm we finally called to ask when they would come-- they said the rain in the morning delayed them and they didn't know yet when they would come, but would call first. We call again at 6:30pm and they said they would not be coming that day. We asked why they had not called to let us know and they said they thought some one else did. They were very rude through-out all these conversations like it was our fault we called and inconvenienced them! After we go off the phone we call several other movers and actually found one who came and moved us that night! AllMySons never called us back-- they next day or any other time to let us know they now had time to move us. This mover is unreliable and has terrible customer service. I would never recommend them to anyone!

Almost everything went wrong during our move. I paid for a partial pack (kitchen and dining room) and neither of these things were completed. The packing that was done was TERRIBLE. There was no special packing material used - only boxes and paper like I could do myself. Glasses were packed in boxes without being wrapped at all (and they broke...surprise, surprise), and partial bottles of wine were put in boxes LAYING DOWN and leaked onto the boxes and the new carpet at my new house. On the second day of the move we realized a third of my kitchen was never packed at all on the first day, and I had to bring friends over to finish the job because the crew packed so slowly and CARELESSLY that I couldn?t stand to have them continue the packing. The crew couldn't move exercise equipment to the truck from my basement and said it was because the equipment needed to be disassembled and we didn't have the manuals, and D&R Movers got it done today without ANY issues (and without disassembling anything). The crew took constant breaks, disappearing for long periods of time near the truck, smoking and complaining. They carried very little per trip to the truck, stretching out the length of time they were working, and complained/requested that we buy them lunch (?because most homeowners buy lunch for us"). After two full days, my move was STILL not complete, and I had to hire another moving company for a THIRD day of moving after All My Sons failed to finish the job. When the crew found out that we were not happy with the progress of our move, they began mouthing off directly to us, and telling us they were furious with their manager. The captain simply said he could not control the mouths of his crew. The All My Sons office did the right thing, and adjusted my charges accordingly, but I will never hire this company again. Horrible move, horrible service, horrible experience. HORRIBLE.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with movers or any provider of any service and I will never use them again. I was moving due to a divorce and my new location was on the same street about 15 houses away. The movers showed up on time and things quickly went downhill from there. The 3 man crew that was sent was a "trainee," a middle-age crew leader and an elderly man. The third man had to be in his 60s. During the signing of the contract the crew leader pointed out several times that they would only pay the minimal amount for damages. I believe this was pointed out 4 times. At this point I was uneasy about using them but I had to be out of the house on that date due to the divorce so I didn't have any other options. After signing the contract, it was stated by the crew leader that they are not supposed to say this but they do accept tips and they have to be paid in cash. They started moving my items. For 1/2 a house of large furniture items and some boxes, I was quoted about 3 hours. There was only 5 minutes of drive time to close the truck and drive down the street so that was already considered in the quote. During the move I observed several pieces of my furniture being slammed into walls. There is wall damage at my old location and my new location. I haven't filed a claim yet because I am still finding damaged items. Here is the list of items I have so far. My wall jewelry box was turned upside down by the movers and 2 bracelets are broken. All my necklaces got tangled and I'm still missing a couple of earrings to 2 separate earring sets. I think they fell out during the move somewhere from being turned over. My sons bookcase has a chunk taken out of the leg. I have the chunk in a drawer and it needs to be repaired. The bookcase was about 2 years old. His night stand has a knick in the front. It is part of a set that is about 5-6 years old. My great grandmother's antique table has a knick on all four corners. The solid cherry cabinet has paint marks on the back where it was ran into the wall. My headboard has a knick out of it right on the front center where it can't be hidden. The top of puppet theater my kids got for Christmas in 2013 is split in 2. The move that was quoted for 3 hours ended up taking 5 hours and 15 minutes and I was charged 5.25 x $99 an hour plus a fuel charge of $61.88 for a total of $705.63. The fuel charge is a % of the hours but I only moved 15 houses away. I also observed at least 2 smoke breaks and phone calls which I don't mind them taking but I was charged for that time too. I would estimate those at 20-30 minutes. During the one break the leader yelled at me.. "We're taking a break. IS THAT OOOOKAY?" with complete sarcasm. At 1:20ish the leader came in with the paperwork. We sat down to sign out. He said there are a couple more boxes on the truck (literally there were about 2) and he said we'll just make it for 2pm. I pushed back on that. It's going to take 35 minutes to unload 2 boxes? He set the time for 1:45 which I still didn't agree with. When I asked what I should do about the damaged items, the first thing he said was "I didn't damage anything!" not here's how to handle your claim. I was then told I had to sign his paper so they could leave. The paper says "All services and all articles received in good condition." I told him I would not sign it. He said they couldn't leave. So I crossed out that line and signed it so they would leave. Another thing that happened during all of this, was that my ex wanted them to move up a bedroom set. As we were closing up the truck to go to the second location and already over the original quote time, the lead mover asked if they could just do that "real quick." He wanted to take a side job in the middle of my move. I told him that was unacceptable so they waited until my move was over. As for handling my claim, when I called the number where I scheduled my move, the man didn't want to talk with me at all. He was extremely helpful when taking my business but didn't want to discuss any claims with me. In fact, he asked me to hold on and then transferred me to their automated claims line. The woman on the claims line was extremely helpful and sent a packet out. I got that in mid January. I was told by the lead mover at the time of the move that someone would come and look at my items. However, I actually have to provide pictures and prove that my items were damaged. I also have to provide receipts for them to show ownership. I don't have receipts for these items. I did get a call from the area rep for this company. I called him back but was never able to get ahold of him. I haven't filed my claim yet because I want to make sure I have everything listed that is damaged. My move was on Dec 13th and I was still finding items in February that were damaged. If you are considering moving, DON'T use this company. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Provided team and truck to move 1/2 of home of mostly large furniture items from one home to another on the same street. Items included a full master bedroom suite, a solid cherry cabinet, one of my children's bedroom suites, 2 recliners, a kitchen table, a bookcase, a treadmill, a couch, 2 end tables, my great grandmother's antique table and oversized chair and miscellaneous packed items. It was the equivalent of a 2 bedroom house at most.

I located this company while during a comparable search online. They responded immediately and providing me with the details of their service. They were not "pushy" which contributed to my ease in choosing them for the service we needed. I also gathered information from two or three other companies. However, after consideration selected All My Sons. They were prompt with follow up calls to arrange the move and provided easy connect information for a personal representative, should I have any questions. Two days before the move, I was given an arrival window and again review of process and cost rates. I was given the option of selecting the number of movers and not just told "x-number of people" will show up. I received a call to notify me that they were 10-15 minutes away. From their arrival throughout the completion of the move the gentleman demonstrated noticing less than true professionalism with their concern for our belongings as well as the comfort of my 87 yr. old mother during their removal of her furniture. They knew this was a "downsizing" move and were sensitive to that process and how it may effect a person. Our experience with ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE was well received and much appreciated.

This company should never be used in my opinion.
Description of Work: We stressed that we would need the largest truck they had and two of them most likely. They sent no one ahead of time to determine our needs. They showed up with a small truck, workers stated they would return with another truck and did not. That evening the workers said they would do the job for us using U-Haul trucks after their shift and never showed up. All around the company and the employees were unprofessional, unprepared, and caused us a lot of stress. Move-It Now was the Co. we used and they were prof., on time and appreciated.

Company has major office management problems. Never arrived on date of move. When I called they had the wrong date, my wrong first name, wrong telephone number and wrong zip code. We rescheduled. On the rescheduled day, the two young men doing the move were very nice and willing to do whatever I needed but were not prepared with moving blankets or wrapping and the furniture and items were just put in the truck. After loading I gave details directions on where the storage facility was located, writing down the address as well as instructing them to follow me.(it was only 15 minutes away) They said OK. They followed for about 1 mile. After waiting 30 minutes with a no show at the storage facility, I called the office and they were able to locate the truck. The guys said the GPS sent them to the wrong storage facility (who gave them that address) and when I said, why didn't you continue to follow me they said and quot;well, we needed to stop for gasand quot;. I called the office and they 'guaranteed' me I wouldn't be charged for the lost time but I was and it took 6 phone calls to finally get a credit which I was told would be $48 but was put through for $45

AMS contact said two movers could move my average household in 4 hours. Two inexperienced movers showed up and attempted to move my household. They came with quilts but no other moving tools, I.e., straps, wrapping materials, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. To move the dressers (they told me to leave things in the dressers), they removed the drawers, put the dressers on the truck, but did not put the drawers back in them to save space. Overall, the truck was not efficiently packed. They could not take everything in one load, even though there was lots of headroom in the truck. My mother and father were taking things apart and carrying them downstairs for the movers to pack as it was clear they were moving slowly. After six hours of packing, they declared the truck packed and sat in the cab. My father had to push to get them out of their truck to help pack the two SUVs we had. They took what we had to the new house (We spent Sunday and Monday, Memorial Day, moving out the rest of the stuff with the help of friends and a U-Haul.). At the new house, it took them 10-15 minutes to back the truck up the driveway. When unloading, they put things roughly where they were supposed to do, did not put any drawers back in place because they were left in the old house, scratched the hardwood floors and damaged some doorways and some of my furniture. One cabinet that they said would not fit where we wanted it because it was too tall to fit, my mother and I were able to move it to this location easily. Along the way, I called the moving company complaining. The contact at AMS, Gary, blamed me for not having someone come and assess the move, which AMS did not feel was needed in the first place. He said that he could send someone else out to help, if he could find someone, but this was several hours into the move, and I felt it was pointless at that late hour. The two men who were here were very pleasant, but seemed to be quite inexperienced movers who weren't trained correctly on what they were to do. At the close of the move, I talked with Gary again who continued to blame me, the guy who set up the move and the movers themselves. The movers had told me they had asked for moving straps, but were told they were on back order. Gary told me that they were lying and had equipment, but that the movers keep losing the materials and they have to repay him for the equipment. He was yelling and interrupting me. My mother then talked with Gary who finally gave us a 3 hour discount, saving approximately $375. The 4 hours we were told it would be, turned into 8 hours with AMS moving who only moved part of my house and left everything in a huge mess. Thanks to my friends and family and a U-Haul truck, we were able to complete the move two days later. This was a horrific experience. I'm on a tight budget and had to spend hundreds more than I expected, and a whole lot more sweat equity. I believe this could have easily been accomplished with 3 or 4 EXPERIENCED movers, which is what 2 Men in a Truck wanted to do. We had no heavy appliances to move, or washer and dryer. For others, I recommend that you insist on having someone come and assess the move, and at least feel that the moving company will do what you need to be done. (This was written for my daughter who is not an Angie's list member. When we moved, we used Angie's List and had an excellent moving experience.)

The only good thing that I can say is that, in the end, I did get moved. It was a terrible experience. The estimator took a first hand look at the job to be completed yet provided an estimate that was substantially low in time required and cost (30%). Appointments were not kept as scheduled. I was to expect the movers as early as 7:30 a.m. yet they didn't get started until 9:15 a.m. They said that they got lost driving into downtown Cincy ... had no GPS. Upon arrival the three guys claimed that they had no idea that packing all contents was part of the job (or unpacking). The move occurred on the last weekend of the month and I only had the freight elevator for a specific amount of time. I've had many moves and the guy packing could not have moved more slowly. I assisted all along the way. The no expectation of packing, the movers didn't have packing materials. Office personnel needed to make TWO trips to provide more. They ran over my reserved elevator time. Job also included pick-up of contents at storage unit. Again, they had no idea how to get to this downtown location and needed to follow me! Upon completion of the move, I was told to complete a survey while they waited. I was too tired and said I'd mail it in. They wouldn't permit that. Subsequent to the move, I emailed the company regarding the experience and completed their online survey. The survey said that I'd be contacted immediately. Nothing. I would never recommend.

It was three guys. Only one of the guys knew what he was doing and he was trying to instruct the guys the entire way. It took about twice as long as it should have. It seriously took probably 8 hours. They damaged some of the walls of the condo when they were actually pulling my furniture out and they also damaged some of my furniture. They didn't notify me and I noticed afterwards. It was a mess. It took so much longer since these guys had no clue what they were doing. I would absolutely not use them again.

They were 2 hours late. We ordered a 3 man crew but only two of them actually worked. Several large items that we wanted moved were left. Very careless with fragile items (marked fragile all over the box). We lost an entire box of pottery because it was crushed by heavier boxes. Careless with muddy shoes on new carpets and left several scuffs on the walls. All this on top of being over $300 more than we anticipated. Stay away from this company.

Everyone I spoke to from my initial contact with the main headquarters, to scheduling the move, to the people who made follow up calls to re-confirm the date and details of the move - everyone was extremely professional, attentive, and polite. I was even more impressed when the crew showed up as scheduled and were extremely polite and efficient,. And while Dan and Mike were efficient, they still took the extra time to carefully pack and protect some very valuable antique pieces of furniture. This was especially true when they had to maneuver the large antique roll top desk up a flight of Stairs. I will definitely recommend them to others and will use their services again when needed.

Unfortunately, I will never use this company again. While the movers were competent, the move went slower than it should have, even with 3 movers. Due to poor arrangement in the truck, we ended up having to leave a ton of stuff in the house to be moved by another company later. The worst part however was the mysterious disappearance of three full piggy banks that we had been filling since my daughter was born. They were packed near the top of a box and when we unpacked they were the only thing we were unable to find. I attempted to contact the company about this and was never able to get a response.

Overall the move went well. I was told the movers would arrive between 12-4 pm....and they could be earlier than 12 or later than 4....and they would call me first. When I didn't hear from anyone by 3:15, I called and got the voicemail for the company and left a message asking to be called regarding an approximate arrival time. I had not received a call so at 3:45 I called again. At that time, the call was answered. She checked with the movers who had been on a job that took a lot longer than anticipated. They were still going to move me, but the movers were not going to be there until 5:45 pm. Since they would be later than anticipated, the company said they would send 3 movers. The arrived at and gt;and gt;and gt;and gt;and gt;. ______. There were 3 movers, however the lead mover had an awful cold - sounded awful and LOOKED like he felt awful! Although he was very professional, he should should have been home and in bed - not providing customer service and spreading his germs. He reviewed with me and had me sign the contract....with his pen. Thankfully I did not catch his illness, but I was not satisfied that the 3rd (bonus) mover they sent was sick. I believe he helped in the truck. The other 2 movers were very professional, addressed me by name, asked me what room I wanted furniture to be placed. Included in the contract was to secure the headboard and the mirrors to the dressers. While that was done, it was not complete. I ended up having to find tools and secure the headboard before I could go to bed that night and I was exhausted. I would have appreciated them completing that task.

Randy originally called to follow-up on my web inquiry. He was prompt and answered all my questions and concerns. The follow-up was also courteous and prompt responses to questions. The hard-working team we were assigned: Bryan Miles, Michael Wood and Dvorak Hargove were outstanding and non-stop. Bryan went over all details as the other team members started things going and they didn't stop. When we changed where things were placed, they were polite and eager to please. Truly an exceptional team and a great company.

Had a horrendous experience during the actual move. The phone rep solicited a good package. To bad none of it was true. They messed up my wife and I time frame. And they had to squeeze us in the time frame we previously scheduled. I was misled on the care they would provide on our furnishings. The movers solicited a tip at least 5-6 times during the move. I have never had something so grossly misrepresented. I will be seeking a refund for part of the move.

The movers themselves were quite nice. I think it may have been one of the guys first few days on the job, but he tried very hard and did a good job, as did the other. The price was originally lower than stated above, but as the day went on it kept moving up.
Description of Work: We used their moving services to move from our old house to new house.

I had waited until the last minute to hire movers for all of our furniture in our condo. The date just crept up on me! When I called All My Sons about moving on Saturday, they apologized and said they had no times available, but were able to provide me service on Friday if I was available. That worked perfectly for me! I stated that we would only need the movers to move all of the heavy items that were just furniture pieces. The individual I spoke with provided me with 3 individuals so that the move would be completed quicker out of a convenience for me as there was not a lot to move. The day of the moving, I received a call from the movers earlier than expected. They had stated that they were done with the previous job early and they could meet me whenever I was available. Luckily I had gotten done with all of the necessities early on Friday and was able to immediately meet them. They walked through my condo assessing everything that needed moved. I politely asked the 3 gentlemen if they would be able to move all of the boxes that were in the kitchen. When they saw what I was talking about, I think I caught them a little off guard... but they said no problem. Not only did they move the furniture that we originally planned for them too. They also moved around 30 boxes of additional household items that I had packed. They were very funny and professional men. I enjoyed having them around to move things on such a stressful day! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that needs moving!
Description of Work: Movers were hired, initially, to move all of the furniture in a 3 bedroom condo (desks, couches, washer, dryer, etc.) but also loaded multiple boxes as well.

The estimate was clear and accurate. The movers arrived exactly when promised, carried and loaded/unloaded our belongings with care. Their professionalism and good humor (even while carrying an exceptionally heavy piece) were greatly appreciated!
Description of Work: Estimate was for moving some but not all furniture and some clothing from one house to another. Couches, chairs, desks, case goods, a canoe and five wardrobe boxes were packed, transported and unloaded in short order and in good condition.
