Description of Work: The deal was ok. It was more a search to see if I had bigger problems that would lead to big bucks. So there was a minimum of service and a lot of talk. I am glad I didn't pay any more for the visit.

Description of Work: I had a replacement garage door opener unit installed. I didn't even have to be home, they gave me a new push button on the wall, a new unit, and replaced the hardwear on the door for only $250. They were very nice on the phone and I would absolutely use them again.

Description of Work: I needed to have some work done on a garage door, so I looked on AL and saw that this company came with strong recommendations. I contacted them and they set up an appointment for this morning. They didn't give me a time but told me that the service person would call in the morning and let me know when they would be by. Morning came and went and there was no call. In calling them back they said that the person who set up my call was inexperienced and didn't know what she was doing (really? how hard is it to get the time right when all you need is AM or PM?). I told them that I would have at least expected a courtesy of a call, and that never came. I cancelled the call and will give my business to someone else. I work hard for my money and I don't see why I should give it to companies that lack common courtesy. I understand if the technician gets delayed - that's where a simple phone call saying "they won't be there until later, is that okay or should we reschedule?" would be appropriate. What is not appropriate is making a paying customer sit around without any information or feedback. Sorry, but you won't be getting any of my money.

Description of Work: A&E Door Sales & Service installed a new garage door and opener for our home. The process was quick, professional, easy, and I would definitely recommend them. The products have provided security, quality, asthetics, and have performed as expected with no problems. The installation and workmanship is great. Everything went just as planned, without a single glitch. We would use their services and products again for future projects.

Description of Work: had estimate to repair or replace garage door at my son's house. Was told it needed to be replaced and price was givien. The cost of the estimate was deducted from the price of the installed price of the door. All was done as said and when told it would be done. Good job.

Description of Work: Billy, the experienced and courteous technician, arrived on time, performed the tune-up as promised, found a salvaged and out-of-date part and repaired the circuit board in the wall switch for no addiitonal charge. He also carried all sorts of batteries, one that did work on our old door opener. Basically, A&E kept our old trusted garage door opening for quite some time. Thanks for the lead and the coupon. This has not been the case with other vendors and garage door companies. I will always call A&E now.

Description of Work: I took advantage of the deal Angie's list advertised. The man who showed up was very quiet, but got right to work. Was finished quickly and gave me a quote on replacing a panel on my garage door. I don't plan on replacing the panel unless the COA pushes the issue with me. The man even pushed out some of the dents. I would definitely use again. Maybe calling them to replace garage door opener for a friend of mine.

Description of Work: They didn't show up for quotation appointment nor even call with an explanation of why the appointment was broken. Using the computer link to make an appointment resulted in a 4 day delay before anyone got back to make the original appointment. A call after the appointment only lead to more frustration when the reception / phone desk was argumentative. Following that, the service manager kept me holding for over 4 minutes at which point I decided that A-E Door didn't really want my business. A competitor called within 1 hour of internet site request and were here within 4 hours. I was ready to buy....but not from AE Door.
