Work was scheduled and completed as expected without issue. I was very satisfied with the work performed and the cost of the repair. I would definitely use them again for any other garage door related issues.

I have been a customer of AE Door for over 10 years at this residence and my mothers residence. My children needed a safe way to get into the house without losing a house key, so I called in Oct 2013 for the installation of the remote keypad for the current my jeanie system. The charge was apprx $240, within the 1st 60 days we noticed that it did not work properly or consistently. I called and the coordinator informed me to come back out it would be $85 for a service call, but more than likely the unit just needs new batteries. I replaced the batteries and reset the code per the instructions on the remote and it still didn't work. I did wait until Oct of 2014 to finally get back around to fixing the problem since it is getting cold again. I spoke to several technicians and then finally the service Mgr Greg and discussed my concern and asked if we could deduct $100 off the cost of a new system since the technician who finally came out stated that what was installed did not work with my current jeanie and it should have never been installed. Greg agreed to have me pick up a new opener and install it myself, which I did with ease and it still did not work. His response " I knew the replacement wouldn't work, but I wanted to show you that I appreciate your business by giving you a new system." Greg then informed me he could replace my old jeanie with a new liftmaster and he would work with me on the price. He called back with a quote of $319, which in review is not a price adjustment. So I have spend over $500 in a years time to replace working parts in my garage to satisfy (what I feel) the company's need for a sale. If I was given the proper information and system compatibility in Oct 2013 I could have made an informed decision,without feeling as though I have been taken advantage of. The quality of work is fine and I have never had issues with the installers or service technicians, but unfortunately for my immediate and some extended family I can't see myself working with this company again. Customer service should be an extension of your product not something that is done to appease an upset customer.

It was a Big Deal purchase. I wasn't happy with it. It was one of those deals where they come out and they replace the rollers and the fellow told me, "I don't know anything about that" and I said, "You're supposed to replace the rollers" so I said, "What about if I will make a call?" About the time I got back to the garage, he was there snapping the old doors out. He was just slamming them out as hard as he could and he didn't want to do it. He was not even the guy who was scheduled to come here; it was another guy who had been much more pleasant in the past. I wasn't happy about it but I'm not the type of guy who gets on the phone and whines. There was no additional charge. They had been a good company. I've had them before and they were very good. The other fellow was just great, went out of his way. The price for the job that was done was very good. I would use them again only if I would get the fellow that I requested.

Exactly as planned. They showed on time completed the work cleaned up and instructed us on use and maintenance. When one f the openers did not always respond to the remote they replaced it immediately with a new unit.

They always do a terrific work. They sent one guy out to the the door and I thought no way was he going to be able to do this by himself but he did. Professional and on time. Door looks great.

Arrived right when they said they would. Efficiently replaced springs and ran check on all the doors (which are old....). Made an adjustment to the track AND repaired top of door we hadn't realized was breaking, buying us at least 6 more months. Doubt the doors will survive the winter, and we'll be calling AE when they need to be replaced.

Received similar quotes from several A rated garage door providers. Chose AE Door because sales rep ("Ron") took the time to answer my questions thoroughly. Being an older home, fitting the new door in place an original heavy wooden door was challenging. Low garage ceiling height, slight left-to-right sag in floor w/respect to door frame, house 220V wire routing in near proximity to door frame, built-in cabinetry near upper rail system, no 110V grounded outlet for new opener, all presented install challenges. He explained how each challenge could be resolved and explained what I could expect. He was right on, and that made the install go more smoothly. Other company salesmen tended to brush me off. One even tried to sell me a high-R door that the catalog clearly stated was not available in the color I wanted. Knowing it would be complicated, I was present for the install and had to "help" the installer work through some of the issues. A 2nd installer with somewhat more experience arrived and that allowed the job to complete in one day except for trim placement. Some unanticipated wood framing board needed to be be added to the lintel steel plate in order for final trim to be installed, and that work was completed on a quick return visit. The install work was completed to my satisfaction. The installers cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old door and all trash. Fit and finish are good for the money. There is a problem with one of the trim molding pieces fitting snugly to the outer door frame, but I was told that time may allow the material to relax into position. If not, I trust AE Door would replace or re-install that strip without question.

I liked their service. I've had them for years. I have been hiring them for maybe 15 years now.

We called them because they installed the door and their sticker was on it to call for servicing. When they got here, they said that they no longer serviced that model. They charged over $100 just for coming out and they did not do any work. They should have screened the issue over the phone before coming out. They knew the address and with having the records of this address, they should have known that they no longer service this type of door. They could have instead given me a referral to someone who did. We had another company come out and repaired the door.

It was satisfactory experience and they did a good job. They came the same day and were reliable.

The first spring broke on a Saturday and the technician was able to come out and fix it so I was able to go to work the next day. The 2nd happened only 5 days later and they gave us a discount since they had just been out to the house. They were quick and courteous and we couldn't be happier with the services provided.

The estimate process was fine. Easy and straightforward. When I called to schedule the work however it was a disaster getting my sales rep to respond and set things in motion. The installation itself went smoothly and the we are very pleased with the product, but the total lack of professionalism by our sales person was infuriating. I had to reach out to him 4 times to get things in motion. It was ridiculous. We have worked with AE previously, on a repair and it went flawlessly, so I have to think we just got a total dud sales person. "We have been really busy" is not an excuse to out returning my calls for weeks.
