The gentlemen pointed out a proficiency that wasn't apart of the original work. He recommended that I had the part replaced and I concurred with him after examining the part. He did the job cleanly and efficiently.

It turned out to be ok. Although, when they replaced the cord for the electric they did not ask permission to use our extension cord. They did solve the problem and gave us the cord back. We just need to buy a shorter cord that will fit the problem.

They were prompt, advised us well on the type of door and an economical door. The products has been highly reliable since we used them.

It was fine. They did what they said they would do for they price they quoted. It wasn't extraordinary. It was average, but it was fine.

While their pricing was slightly higher than their competiton, I went with them because of previous positive experience and was not disappointed. The serviceman showed up on time, fully explained everything he was going to do, and asked if I had any questions. At that point I let im get to work and a few hours later, we had our new door installed and functional. The serviceman then offered some suggestions about maintaining it, and we were done. Another positive experience with this contractor.

When the spring broke on my garage door, my car was trapped inside. I called AE Door & Window, and they were able to come out fast to repair it. I have two separate garage doors, so I asked if it would be advantageous to replace the other spring. I was told it would be a better idea to wait until it breaks because it may end up lasting longer. I appreciate that they did not want to charge me extra for unnecessary work.

They have an emergency answering service at night. They were very quick and did exactly what we want. They have very prompt service.

Everything was fine. The technician arrived on time and got the job done quickly.

Things started off well. The service man showed up on time, and was friendly. He did an inspection that I would guess took about 15 minutes and tightened the wires on our sensors. This was in April. Then in August all of a sudden our garage door stopped working. I called AE and told them about the issue and that they had just been out for a tune up a few months ago. The man brusquely told me that they only warranty their service for 90 days. I explained that I fully understood that parts can go bad at any time and all I wanted was an estimate at what needed done so I could figure out if I would have them do the work or call our home warranty company if there was a major repair. He told me that they don't do estimates, and that I would have to pay the $99 service fee to have them come out. I explained that I just paid the service fee to have them come out a few months ago and reiterated that we were a mere week or two outside the warranty period and I just needed an estimate. I asked to talk to a supervisor to explain the situation but he told me that I was not allowed to talk to his supervisor and that the supervisor would just tell me the same thing. In the end we called our home warranty company and paid them the $100 deductible (just in case it was a major repair). It turned out that there was merely a few things that needed tightening and took less than five minutes. To me this confirmed that perhaps the AE service man did have an oversight during the tune-up. I fully understand these things happen but what really bothered me was that they didn't seem to stand behind their work, and were not even willing to come out to give an estimate for a customer who made a purchase from them just 3.5 months ago. Their rigidness in this regard and the rude treatment from the service department all added to the reasons that I will not be doing business with AE in the future nor would I recommend them to others. Save your money on the Angie's List "Big Deal."

I called AE Doors in July to purchase some badly needed front and rear entry doors. My husband suggested that we call them because we had a good experience with a new garage door several years ago. Brian Finley, Residential Sales Manager, suggested that we visit their showroom, which is very near our home. They were open on Saturday, and Brian was there to help us. He is very knowledgeable and showed pride in the products and company. He gave us a catalog to take home. After we made our choices, Brian came to our home to measure and write our contract. He took time to get things correct, making phone calls to his people internally when necessary. This whole process described above went smoothly and timely. Very impressive and professional. Brian and Rick, the installer, made a quick scheduled visit here the next door to be sure all was correct. Our doors, glass and hardware were ordered by Brian and he told us when to expect them. Installation took place on August 12, 2011, Friday. The installer, Rick, arrived on schedule at 9:00 am with everything correct and everything needed for the install. He was excellent! Very diligent and professional. He worked very steadily and with minimal breaks. He appeared to have a great deal of knowledge and experience, installing the doors smoothly and efficiently. It was after six when he finished. The fit of the doors and glass into the space looks good, as well as the hardware, sills and caulk, wood work and cement work around the doors. The colors are just what we wanted. Overall, we are very satisfied.

We have used AE Door for our garage door for the last 15 years at our current house and I also used them at the house I previously owned. I have always had responsive, courteous, quality service.

They did a very good job of the installation and they were very reliable. They were very helpful and it was a real positive experience. We didn't buy the door from them though. We didn't pay them directly and it was paid to them by the company from whom we bought the doors. They were professional, prompt, reliable, and efficient and they did a good job.

They were very good. They were here on time and cleaned up well. I was very happy with the installation.

We called on Saturday, but said that we didn't need same day service. They called us Monday morning, as promised, and gave us a 2 hour window for the same day. The technician, Rob, arrived on time and adjusted the doors. They were working great in no time. We asked about the saggy rubber strip on the bottom of the doors and Rob offered to replace them and told us the price. We decided to go for it. Then he performed the maintenance, oiling and checking all the parts. We told him that we had been having trouble with the installed exterior keypad and asked for advice on replacing it ourselves. He explained how to do it and what to buy, then told us that he had the correct model and could do it for us and gave us the price. We said yes, again. It was great. Not only did he solve the problem that we called about, he corrected all our problems. He was professional, easy-going and not at all pushy. We would have him out again any time!

I requested that a technician come out to adjust a Garage Door and the guy over the phone said, "I'd be happy to send someone out, but if you turn an adjustment 1/2 turn, you can do it yourself.I am a total mechanical moron, but obviously this was easy to do and saved me $100. Great guy! I'd totally call them again.

I like the fact that they came out pretty quickly. Their price was fine. They were all very professional. I have used them twice and I would use them again in the future too.

I purchased a big deal for them. I was very happy with them. They were on time, and they did the job. Whatever it was, it was certainly the amount agreed beforehand. They met their commitment. They did a good job. The price was fine.

My husband hit the garage door and knocked it off the track at 6:30 in the morning. I put in an e-mail request for service, and got a call in reply at around 8:00 am. By noon the door was repaired, lubed, cleaned and ready to go. The technician was able to explain and show me all that he had done, and was very polite and neat. The first person who called to schedule was patient with my explanation of what was damaged (had to determine whether could be repaired or I needed a sales person to help me get a new panel). Overall, a surprisingly fast response and great service!

Sales people were courteous and professional. Prompt on appointment to measure door. Installation was on done on date scheduled at the appointed time. Installer was courteous and competent. Worked effeciently and cleaned up area after the job.

It was one of those deals I got from the list. The offer was for around $50. They were punctual, worked quickly and were professional.
