Description of Work: I called AE Door & Window to service my sister's garage door. The gentleman that delivered excellent service was Billy. He told me what the problem was and fixed it immediately, the door opened and closed perfectly after he fixed it. There was a problem with the current vault release and some other parts on the door. He fixed everything to my satisfaction. My sister's garage door wouldn't open, he was able to get inside and put a new vault release on the door, this is the switch that let's a person get into their garage, when your automatic door opener won't work. I would definitely use this company again, and recommend them as excellent.

 + -1 moreSelection of the doors was easy to do and once I decided on the doors I wanted, someone came out and measured my doors. They noted that the entry door was not level (one side higher than other), and they made notes so that they would level it out when the new door was installed. The installer arrived and started taking apart the old doors and then began installing both doors. Everything was cleaned up and the new doors were explained to me (how the locks worked, etc) before the installer left.
Description of Work: Had both an entry door and a storm door installed to replace extremely outdated ones.

Description of Work: My garage door was off the track. They came out very soon after my call. A few weeks later it started making noise when opening again. They came out at no cost and remidied the problem. Very polite and knowledgable.

 + -1 moreQuickly and painlessly. Wouldn't have guessed they even made a service call had it not been for the courtesy sticker attached to the garage wall. No complaints; everything is still working fine. I just wish they had replaced some small component, or checked and adjusted spring tension balance, rather than give everything the usual "blessing" and suggest that I call for a quote for future work that needs to be done.

However, the spring was designed for the opposite side of the door. The technician had the capability to modify the installation. The garage door works perfectly.

Description of Work: I called AE door sales for a quote to a Garage Door and he didn't show up for the appointment. After that I called him again he showed up on a saturday. Rang the bell three times and left. I was in the shower and it didn't give me time to answer the door. Unprofessional.

Description of Work: Bought a garage door tune up because my garage door was bent slightly from my car sliding into it during the previous winter. They came out and checked the wheels, bent the garage door back a bit and replaced some screws. They didn't completely unbend the door because that wasn't what the coupon was for.

They promptly ordered the new garage door and lift master, opener and keypad and had someone at my house two weeks later to install it. The installer was great not only did he install everything but without even saying anything he went above and beyond and fixed a gap that was at the top of our garage entrance. I would defiantly use them again and have used them for another house that we owned in the past.

Description of Work: AE Door removed the old garage door and motor and replaced it with a new door and motor. They also removed our double/french style front doors and replaced them, as well as the side door. The side door also had a screen door installed. They did an awesome job. Better than I anticipated. The BEST service ever. Thank you AE Door.

 + -1 morewe backed into the existing garage door. heavy wood paneled door and it was broken beyond repair. AE door came out and looked at the conditions, explained what would need to happen, showed us options and discussed price and pros/cons of options. They gave us a price and time for the work. The work happened when they said, took the amount of time they said, and there were no surprise costs. They hooked up the existing door opener, which was from another company. They took all the parts of the old door which I had ripped off myself, just to go in and out of the garage. Very Professional and the garage door looks and performs as expected.
Description of Work: We had a new garage door installed. The existing garage door was damaged beyond repair. AE Door took the old garage door and parts.

 + -1 moreI assumed that I needed a replacement part and I was willing to pay for whatever it would take. The worker who came out said that the Deal did not cover replacement parts and he confirmed that with the comapny. They couldn't do the tune up with out the replacements, so no work was done.
Description of Work: My garage doors did not open properly because a portion of the railing was bent. I purchased a Big Deal for a "Garage Door Tune-Up for Only $69 Plus 20% off all Parts on Any Residential Service."

 + -1 moreWe talked to several companies locally. They gave conflicting advice as to what we needed. Couldn't answer basic questions. AE came out - answered all questions - advised as per our unique situation - gave quote on spot - set up installation date on the spot (which was 2 - 4 week before other companies who offered the same door said we could get it done - and our old door was inoperable and we were going on vacation and desparately needed it fixed for safety reasons). They came the day they said they would - less than two weeks from quote. Installation guy was knowledgable and had a complicated older electrical system to work with. He left no mess! We got the exact lift we wanted - others told us we didn't need it because they just didn't carry it. Got the door we wanted. Could lock and go on vacation without worry.
Description of Work: Garage door broke - 60 years old. Take out old garage door and old system. Wire new lift and install new garage door. It was completed - Angies list says to put completion date, but it doesn't show up where you input data. This job was done in one day - day that was set up when we got quote.

Description of Work: I had the latch lock engaged on my garage door which caused the door to go off the track when I without thinking, hit the garage door opener. I called another company on Angie's List and they said their earliest available service date was 48 hrs later. They said if I considered it an emergency, they could come this evening at the emergency rate (double the normal rate). I called AE Door (rated very highly on Angie's List) and they said they had a technician in my area and he could probably make it within the hour. He arrived in less than an hour, easily fixed the door, even spent time looking for a roller that had fallen out so I wouldn't have to purchase a new one. He answered several questions I had and charged far less than the other company quoted. He was kind, professional, qualified, and very courteous. He also didn't make me feel like an idiot b/c I tried opening the garage door w/ the latch lock engaged. I couldn't be more pleased w/ the service, the serviceman, or the cost!

 + -1 moreI told the technician about my concern about the looseness and noise with the double-size door, and he did nothing and suggested nothing to deal with it. A year later I bought another Angie's Big Deal with Cincinnati Door & Opener, who installed nylon rollers, and that solved the problem.
Description of Work: The technician came as scheduled and inspected the double-size garage door covered by the coupon. Although the door was quite loose and noisey he did nothing about that. He lubricated the hinges, and went on to lubricte the hinges on my second garage door, a single unit, at no additional charge.
