I've been using AE Door in N. Ky. for garage door work for over twenty years. When I had a house, we had an insulated garage door installed, and to this day (my son lives in it now) that door works perfectly. I have usually had my garage door serviced every year or so, but this time it had been five years. Lawrence was the technician. He called when he finished the job before mine to let me know when he'd be there. He was right on time and very professional and pleasant to deal with. I'd noticed that my garage door was a lot noisier than it used to be and it had recently started sounding "clunky". As soon as he got on the ladder, he showed me that the drive chain was way too loose. He also found that the right side wire cord that winds on a spool as the door goes up and down was completely off the track. So it was obvious to me that he knew what he was doing. He tightened up the drive chain, fixed the right side wire cord back on the spool. adjusted the big tension springs over the door, tightened all nuts and bolts on the door, and lubricated everything. He even found one nut missing from a bolt and put a new one on. When he was finished, he opened and closed the door to show me that there was a HUGE improvement in how the door now works. It is much quieter now and also seems more "solid". I am completely satisfied and will continue to use AE Door for my garage door service and//or repair. You should too!

They were very good. They came out the next day. They didn’t have all of the materials needed and said they would have to come back the following day. About an hour later they called and said they have the parts and came back out and fixed the door. I was very pleased.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and efficient so we had great expectations going into the installaion - we give him an A rating! However, when the installer showed up to replace the door, he gave us a very difficult time about reinstalling the single alarm sensor pad in the door frame to our new door saying, ?That he didn?t want to be held responsible for the alarm not working in case of a break in. I can just by-pass that door on your security system.? When the salesperson came to give us a quote on a new door, we were told that 99 times out of 100 there is no issue ? especially when there is enough wire available to make the new connection. In this case, there was plenty of wiring but I think he (the installer) just didn?t want to be bothered with it - he was very uncommunicative and acted like he didn?t want to be there. In fact, the installer said that he would test the sensor before he left and he didn't. We caught the fact that it was not working just in time before he pulled out of our driveway and asked him to come back in to fix it. It took him only a few minutes to reconnect, which made us wonder why he made such a big deal about it to begin with? This is very frustrating coming from a company with service in their tag line ? especially when A&E was the most expensive quote we received from of three different companies and yet we decided to go with them because of their service proposition and reputation. The whole experience was very different than all of the positive reviews we found on Angie?s List and this was extremely unexpected and disappointing! This is the first negative contractor experience we have had since using Angie's List and we've been members for the past 8 years.

Everything works fine. The repairman was very friendly and he did the work right away. I was very happy with it. He was here right when he said he'd be.

AE Door Sales & Service Inc. did a real good job. He didn't charge me anything extra. That's all I needed done. If I needed something, it would have been extra. But I didn't need anything, he said. He said I was good. He was fine, with me. I watched how he did it and he showed me how to lubricate it, if I needed to lubricate it. I have a screw drive and you lubricate the screw. He showed me how to do it and left me some extra lubrication for it. Their punctuality was good. They gave me a call before he was due to be here. His professionalism was real good. He was in uniform.

We were getting ready to leave on vacation and the garage door would not open. AE Door came out right away and fixed very quickly. The price was also half the price of another large company that qouted the call and repair. Ron was the technician and did an amazing job! AE Door is a great company and we will use them again.

The provider arrived on time. He was very professional. He replaced the broken spring, and then inspected all parts of the garage door and mechanism. He replaced two bolts that were stripped, and fixed the light on the garage door opener that hadn't worked in a year. He lubricated all moving parts on the garage door. It now works smoother and quieter than before. Overall, he did a wonderful job and we would highly recommend this company.

They've always been prompt and available when we needed them. as I remember the garage door won’t open it was a spring or something and they did a tune-up on booth garage doors but they replace the opener on the one with a much better one and we have been very pleased with that. They were very professional we have used them several times and we never had any problem.

One of the two springs broke on our 10 1/2 year old garage door, causing the door to be inoperative. After getting prices from four companies, I chose AE Door because their price was about the same as the others and I had positive experience with them in the past. A morning time (8 am-Noon) was promised. The technician called ahead and arrived at about 9:45 and quickly made the needed repairs. Although only one spring was broken, at this company's (and others that I talked to) recommendation, I had both springs replaced (they are adjacent to one another). Also, the garage door was oiled and the opener was lubed. It is very nice to have the garage door working again!

Our garage door opener finally went bad after 40 years. We could not get the garage door to open since it went off the track. We called AE Door the next day. They gave us a quote over the phone and we made an appointment to have them install an opener the next morning. We had some idea of which garage door opener we wanted since we had recently been to the Cincinnati Home and Garden show. The model was on sale including installation. Shawn, the service technician was at our home at the appointed time and had completed the installation in less than 2 hours. He had tested the opener and showed us how to use the equipment. We had also tested the remotes and the safety features before he left. The invoice came to exactly what was quoted over the phone. We have been very happy with the equipment and the excellent service and would definitely recommend them. If we need garage door services in the future they will the first ones we call.

Installation of doors and openers was fine. However, these are rental properties and I was not present. They took down my keypads (which were brand new universal $50 from Sears) and threw them away. I called and spoke to a number of people all the way up the chain of command. I asked for 2 keypad openers in replacement. I was denied. I could certainly buy 2 from them for $50 but no, they would not give me 2. I think this is terrible customer service. I will never use them again. I now have turned over my 30 properties and 52 garage doors to Overhead Door....who have been fantastic. Use them!

The doors were ordered and installed within just a few weeks. A&E was excellent at calling us and updating us on the changes in schedule when they thought our front door was going to come in a little late. They split the installation into two jobs since two doors were coming in on one day and the other two another day. Rick was the installer and did an excellent job. He was always prompt and worked hard. He was a pleasure to have around. He was very unobtrusive and cleaned up so well you couldn't tell he was ever here. The installation job was top notch. I don't know if you could get any better. The doors look beautiful and the process was painless. I would definitely recommend A&E door. They are very professional and provide a top notch product.

Our garage door was originally installed by AE Door..We just wanted to get a checkup to be sure all was functioning well. The technician arrived on time and completed the servicing to our satisfaction.

They were perfect, great, and wonderful. They came when they said and he was very competent. He was very professional and added some things that weren't part of the deal that needed to be done. I thought it was very good that he pointed those options out to me and it was very reasonably priced.

The repairman arrived on time, evaluated the condition of my door & lifter, offered to replace my old garage door openers with new ones that had many updated features. I told him I really just want my old one tuned up and he told me again about the features of the new ones. I just want the tune up today, and he got to work. I was a little frustrated by the sell job, but I know that's part of the deal. All in all, I was superbly impressed by his excellent work on my old garage doors. He got them humming like new again and I've enjoyed another year and a half of daily garage door lifting out of them. I would certainly use this company again. Very good value for my money!

Called AE at 7AM and the door was fixed by Noon that day. Very impressed with the fast service and professionalism.

The repair did not take long - maybe 20 minutes. The serviceman was polite and professional, and wore those little booties in the house to protect the floors. So far it's worked great. The serviceman said this was a typical repair needed for a 10-year old garage door. I would hire them again. They were the original installers of the door (although we didn't own the house then). Glad to see good reviews on Angies List.
