For the Big Deal, I had repeated problems with scheduling the visit - to the point where I actually told them I was losing confidence in them. After 3 tries,it finally got straightened out. The actual visit was very brief.

It went great. We had a lot of miscommunications.

Our garage door spring broke on a very cold weekend and they were able to come out promptly the next morning to replace the spring. The technician was helpful, courteous and efficient, and we will definitely call them in the future.

Replaced 4 rollers. |No tune-up was done as door was 20+ years old and thus did not meet their |requirement of meeting UL 325 standards for service.

The spring on our garage door snapped and I contacted them at 10:00 pm via their website and heard back within 15 minutes. Wanted to know if this was an "emergency" and if so, they would have someone right out, if not, I would hear back in the morning, this was fine with me. I heard from them at the time they indicated, they arrived as indicated and the service tech was wonderful. He was polite, knowledgeable about what needed to be done. The price I paid was exactly was I was quoted via email. I would most assuredly use them again! Thanks A/E!!!

He was great! A&E was also very prompt when we told them that our door spring had just broken. We killed 2 birds with one visit and now the door is smoother and quieter than at any time we have lived here. Their tech put the proper spring on the door and with the tune up, it made a world of difference. Definitely use A&E for your garage door needs.

Well, I called, they set up a window of time to come out, a four hour window. I waited all afternoon , they called and to let me their technician was stuck on a job and ran out of time, could they come the next day. I said fine. The technician came the next day, looked at the problem and ordered the materials needed. Two weeks went by,and they set up a time to come out to fix the door. I waited and the technician came out only to tell me the wrong part was ordered and he couldn't fix the problem, but he would come back on Wednesday to fix it. I told him Wednesday was fine but I needed him to come before 11:00. He said no problem. So, Tuesday I get a call from the service department that they will be out between 12-5. I called them back, told them the tech promised before 11:00, I have already waited twice with their windows of 12-5, and need them to be here before 11:00 because I have to be someplace. The service went fine. Our garage door keypad also was not working, and provider stated some of the buttons were broken. We had him install a new keypad for us. The provider (Rob) was nice enough, but the only reason I gave a B score was that the $160.00 I spent was for about 30 minutes of service. However, the door does open smoother, so the tuneup helped my situation.

We purchased two new storm doors with self-storing screens-well made doors and installer was very polite. We had some problems with the locking devices and they came back and made the necessary adjustments. It is a first class product and the installer was very professional.

The A&E team was punctual as well as professional in all aspects of this job. I have a 98 year old garage so this was not an easy fix. Yet, the installers made it look easy. The front of my house looks so much better. The mechanism works perfectly and I have every confidence that, should I have any problems in the future, that A&E will continue to have a "can do" attitude about making things right for it's customers. The Angie's List deal said that parts would also be available. I told the representative at the door company that the rail was bent and a part would need to be replaced. The person said on the phone that I could have that replacement as part of the service. The service person who came to my home said that a replacement would not be provided as part of the deal and he called his office and said that they would not consider any replacement parts. I was mislead. They did not even give a quote for a new garage door opener. I will never work with that company.

i couldn't open my garage door the night before of the repair , so I called around 11 pm and left a message , they called me back back around 7 am . they were very nice and they came on the time and the sevice man was nice and profesional too, I will use the company sevice again

Responded quickly to my request for service as I was due into work the next day and I could not open the garage door to get my vehicle out. Billy arrived within 4 hours of my initial call for service. He was courteous, respectful and made my door opener perform like new again. I'm very pleased with A&E Door and will use them in the future.

I was disappointed because all AE Door could do was oil the garage door springs. The garage door I have is a very old Sears unit that is not current code so he wasn't allowed to work on it. I don't remember seeing this exception on the deal, but it's been to long to remember. I would still us AE Door again though. The gentleman was on time and very nice/professional. He explained why he couldn't actually tune up the door, but said he would oil and do what he could. What he did though wasn't worth the $59 and that's why I gave the price a D and quality a C.

As I mentioned above everything was performed in a quick efficient manner. They were on time. The price was very competitive for all of the work performed. The workmen were courteous and finished before I thought it possible. The openers work as promised and the detached opener is very quiet for once.

First, I have used this company to install a front door and the garage doors. We have had no issue in the past. I used AE Door for this service because of their reliability in the past. Service originally was to be done last week. I was told between 1 PM and 4 PM. When no one showed, I called at 4:15 PM. They had the service between 3 PM and 5 PM, but it would still be after 5 PM when they could come, so service was rescheduled. I had already waited over 3 hours and it would be an additional hour before they would arrive. Today service was to be between 11 AM and 2 PM, No one showed up between that time. At 2:33 PM the technician called stating he was late, which was already obvious. I tried to contact the supervisor (Stephanie), leaving 2 messages, one with the receptionist and another on her voicemail. I wanted to discuss this issue before posting this review. I specifically made mention of this in the voicemail. The service itself was thorough and complete. Scheduling was a major issue. In my experience, most companies use a 2 hour window for scheduled service, and arrive within that window. We understand that things come up, but a call should come earlier than a half hour AFTER the scheduled time. Addendum: I was able to speak with the supervisor on 9/4.

Arrived on time and quickly removed the old opener and installed a new system that continues to perform very well.
