Accurate Pool & Spa Service

Having a foamed unit, we were luck that the leak was easily accessible. The problem was quickly identified. They came back a few days later with the remaining parts to fix the leak and permanently install the sensor. We were pleasantly surprised on how quickly and inexpensively the hot tub was repaired. We had discussed removing the hot tub if the repair was too expensive.

UPDATE: I have decided to revise my review of a C to a B due to the overwhelming professionalism that Accurate Pool & Spa Service showed in handling my complaint. First off as I said before, once the mistake was pointed out it was promptly fixed (see original review for more details), but what really blew me away is that without my asking I was fully refunded the amount that I paid for my pool closing. This shows a level of customer service that is rarely found anymore, and it is enough for me to realize that the mistake that was made, though very serious, was clearly very out of the ordinary for this company. I will give Accurate Pool and Spa another opportunity to work on my pool. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I enjoyed communicating and working with Kevin and his team. They answered all of my questions about what they were doing and why, as this was my first season with my pool so I'm learning on the fly. Kevin's team was quick, efficient, and on time. Why a C? They do not drain the pool at all which is fine if everything is done right. The problem was that I noticed after they had left, that the top of my Gizmo in the skimmer had a big open hole in it. When the waterline of the pool reached the top of the skimmer, which it would have sense the top of the Gizmo is lower then the Skimmer drain, water would poor into the skimmer line. No antifreeze was used in the closing, which is also fine if everything was done right. As it was left, my skimmer line would have filled with water and frozen. I would have been left with a very expensive mess to clean up/fix. This was only caught because I looked over the closing job and called them back. They did come fix it at that point.

Kevin returned my call promptly and scheduled an appointment within a very reasonable amount of time. He called one day ahead to confirm the appointment. They arrived on time and with all of the tools and supplies needed. I observed that they were very thorough and complete and very quick with their work. There were no "add-ons" to the bill for chemicals and small supplies that I have experienced with other companies. The fee was very reasonable compared to the time and difficulty I have experienced in doing it myself in the past.

It went really well. He did a great job and that has been successful. We have had trouble with the liner floating in the past. The relief drain has kept water from building up underneath the liner.

Went great. Even called my home warranty company for "approval" to get my claim covered. Came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and fixed it. Even let my 4 year old "help." Very friendly, genuine. Will hire again.

Our pool pump was making a lot of noise. Since this was only our second year with a pool and we had fired last year's pool company, I got two estimates for the issue. I called two companies and had them listen to the motor on the phone. Both companies said it was the motor. The first said we needed to replace the entire pump but Kevin said we could just replace the motor which saved us about $300 dollars. He did the work the next day, Friday, so that we would have a nice, quiet, functioning pool pump for the weekend. We have been very pleased with Kevin and his wife, Linda. They always call right back and come right away when there is an issue. When Kevin opened our pool he explained to me how to clean out the filters. I did this after a month and was unable to put the parts back together tightly so the pump would not function. Kevin came right away and put it all together the next day. Hooray!

I called the Accurate Pool & Spa Service in early July and set up a pool closing for the end of August. I live in Southwest Ohio and we have a shortage of companies that offer this type of Service. Mr. Spitznagel's company is located on the East side of Cincinnati and was surprised to find out that they operated in my area and as far West as Southeast Indiana. Kevin arrived with his crew and made quick work of closing my pool in a very professional manner. I was interested in putting in a Salt Filteration system next year, and he took time to explain all that was envolved listing the good and bad points of both types of filtering systems. He is very knowledgeable about pool systems and a straight shooter! I have had my pool for 18 years and have not been able to find a company on the West sid of Cincinnati that offers the range of services for pools that he does. Kevin is now my pool guy for any type of work I need done on my pool! If you want someone who seams to have his stuff together call Kevin.

I know this is a busy time for pools/spas. The owner of the company recently had knee surgery. So I am sure they are very busy,make sure you give them enough time to respond.

We just bought the house. The previous owners left us with a very nice above-ground fully-decked pool and hot tub. I've never owned either so we went in search of someone that could help us understand what we have and how to care for it. I subscribed to Angie's List specifically for this issue. I was delighted to see all of the positive reviews for Accurate Pool and Spa. Just as the others have said.... Kevin is awesome. He took the time to explain (in detail) everything we need to know about the pool and the hot tub. All the while his industrious partner was checking lines and sweeping the pool floor. When it was time to leave I felt like it was money VERY WELL SPENT. Kevin only charged me $75. His prices all seemed very reasonable and his experience and passion to the job was very evident. These guys are on my permanent list of companies I'll continue to do business with... THANKS KEVIN and COMPANY! :o)

Kevin has fixed the pump on my pool and found a used item to lower the cost. He opens my pool, maintains it and closes it. He is available within a couple of days if a problem occurs.

Kevin arrived on schedule (we didn't give him much notice) and immediately diagnosed the problem. He repaired it, then went over all the items I asked him about (replacement jets, ozonator, fittings, some cabinet design work) giving me an estimate on each. The estimate was good for a limited time (couple weeks, I believe) but we will wait until spring to do the work. We will definitely be contacting Kevin and Accurate Pool & Spa for the work.

I chose this company for spa service solely based on the great reviews from here on Angie's list. I called Monday and left a message. I called Wednesday and left two messages. I called two more times but did not leave messages. No response whatsoever. Very surprising based on others' experiences.

From beginning to end, Kevin showed up faithfully every morning as promised and did the work he said he would do.

They were great. They were timely for the first visit and very helpful in assessing our needs. Very professional and knowledgeable They now clean weekly and the pool has never looked so good!

Kevin from Accurate Pool & Spa certainly deserves the Angies' list A rating: Courteous, patient, knowledgeable and responsive. I had a couple of issues with the pump after a pool opening, and he came as soon as possible, and addressed the problem promptly. He is very customer oriented, and will answer all questions you may ask. I highly recommend Accurate Pool and Spa for all things related to pools.

Last year we experienced a decrease in water pressure when circulating. We could not clear the water upon opening because our vacuum would not hold suction for more than 10 minutes. Our local pool owner looked at it and couldn't find a cause for the problem and basically became unavailable for further examination. After opening our pool this year, I joined Angie's List to find someone who would do the job. Accurate was the best rated, so I called and was promptly scheduled. They arrived within the window set and within three visits, corrected the problem and per my request, did the heavy cleaning needed. I am very pleased with the service performed, the prompt response and the valuable information and instructions I received.

Came out as scheduled each time. Everything was explained well and made sense. Most importantly got the problem fixed. For the time spent and considering a part had to be ordered I was shocked by how reasonable the price was.

Best thing I did was to consult with Kevin on what I should do with my spa. I was willig to pay him $70 just for the consult. Howvere, he had very pratical solutions for me, so I use dhim to do the work aas describerd above.

The spa pumps and heater are working. Display is upside down, and LED lights still aren't working. Not happy. Wanted to give the 'mom and pop' shop a chance. Looking back, I don't think it was a good idea.

They were perfect. I've used Accurate Pool and Spa for years. I'm happy with them. He does everything from pools to spas and covers. He's very knowledgeable and is open to answering questions.

Pool heater was not working after pool opened for the season. Came out on Monday afternoon when specified, dompleted work quickly, also offered to come back with no service fee to fix some leaks in the system. Second job also done well. Only complaint is that old parts were left on the ground by the filter after the leak repair. We have used Accurate several times over the last 8 years.

He asked good questions in advance and that gave him a good indication that he would be able to fix my problem before he even came out. He was pretty specific about asking how the pump was accessed. He came out and looked at a number of different places to see where the problem was, and he determined that a part was needed. He called me a week later to tell me it would be another week before he could replace it. It was a pretty simple job. I'll use them again for my jacuzzi needs.

Overall it was good- not cheap, but a service call is never cheap. They were fast and professional.

Was able to quickly identify where leak was coming from and resolve. Had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather, and technician illness, which was understandable, but still disappointing. Overall, they were absolutely stellar and their work was fabulous!

They do an exceptional job and there isn?t anything negative I would say about them. The quality of their service, the quality in the personalities, and their commitment to service all stand out to me. They are expensive but they are worth it. Once you get them they are right there; they keep their appointments and they?ll come up to nine at night. Because they are so heavily booked, though, they might not call you until the end of the day.
