I have used him in the past. As was the case before, he arrived on time and did a great job. Very polite and totally cleaned up.

The sweep arrived early by a few minutes which was great. He inspected the fireplace first, then went on the roof and removed the cap and inspected the chimney. He was straightforward and honest about not needing a sweep and explaining information about my chimney and wood burner I did not know. He filled out an inspection I needed and was on his way. I would definitely use this company next year after I use my fireplace more. Very honest, friendly, and competitive prices.

The job was beautiful, I would recommend them. They were punctual, knowledgeable, clean, and had good recommendations.

It went very well. Both of our chimneys are in very good shape and the problem that we had about a week ago was most likely due to a faulty (old) gas log burner. He was very knowledgable about our system.

Very prompt and thorough. Not a speck of dirt left after service was completed. Would definitely use again.

The service person was running a bit late, but the office called to let me know and be sure it was ok. He arrived shortly after and was friendly and efficient. He got right to work and was done in a bit over an hour for both chimneys. Cost was significantly less than several other esimates I received. Overall very positive.

They came back a year later when the paint was flaking off. They came out to fix this at no charge. We were very happy with their work.

Wonderful to work with. We had a lot of of work going on in the house so we didn't have the work done yet but are going to in the new year. Very fast to come out and very informative. We are looking forward to working with them.

We are new to this house and no indication was left as to when the chimneys were last cleaned. The Chimney Wizard was very helpful on the phone with price estimates and how the work would be performed. Upon arrival we were informed that The Wizard had previously cleaned the chimneys of this house, approximately 7 years ago. That was two owners. It was nice to know he had been here before and was familiar with the chimneys to be cleaned. The vacuum was brought in and he started cleaning, then went outside with his ladder and cleaned the other chimney. It was a very clean process, and noise was minimal. Upon leaving he even repaired a broken chain on the entrance door. That was much appreciated and certainly not expected. A small touch that spoke volumes to the character of the Wizard.

They promptly called me back. They came when they said they would. They gave me an AL discount. I was accurately billed for the service. I would recommend them.

I had Chimney Wizard to my home in June to clean my fireplace chimney. When he was at my home he advised me that I needed a new chimney cap. My existing one was very rusted and in very bad shape. John told me that a cap is used to prevent debris, birds or other animals from getting into my chimney. At that time I decided to wait until later to replace it because it was still warm outside and I was not using my fireplace. Now that I am utilizing my fireplace I decided that it would be a good time to replace my cap with a better and newer one. When I called Chimney Wizard, my call was answered and I spoke with Angie again. She looked up my paperwork, found out what size cap I needed and told me that they did have one in stock and John came out the very next day and installed it! It went great, it couldn't have been any easier. I did not even need to be home when he came out for the installation. They left the invoice and I mailed them a check. I will be using them again hopefully this year to do some repair work at the top of my chimney.

Arrived on time; very friendly, went right to work. After checking the fireplace flues, we were told that they didn't need cleaning. He then proceeded to clean the oil furnace flue. He did so without creating any of the mess that previous sweep made. Then, he installed the three chimney caps we had already purchased. He reassured us that the repair work we had done was a really fine job.

With Chimney Wizard, it finally went real well.

Very well overall, prompt estimate work was started on time. A permit was required that they did not get before the work started. The City (Willoughby) made them stop until a permit was obtained. This added about a week to the job. They were able to match the brick perfectly (60 year old house!) and the work was top notch!

I called Chimney Wizard and my call was answered right away. I spoke with a friendly woman named Angie. She put me on the schedule for the following day. The next day the owner, John Potter came to my home promptly at the time that we had scheduled. He was very friendly and courteous. He inspected my chimney before cleaning it and made recommendations to resolve additional problems I am having. He was very clean and thorough. He put down a drop cloth and was very conscientious about keeping the work area clean. I have white carpeting in my living room and it stayed completely clean. John paid attention to detail and was very honest and personable. I will be using him again to do some tuck-pointing at the top of my chimney.

First time I called it was 8:00 in the morning. The lady complained I woke her up. I later asked for verification of her insurance and she wouldn't give that to me. Later, she did give me the phone number and I had to call the insurance company. The insurance only covered damage done to my roof, not if he would get injured. I didn't have them do the work because I was concerned about this insurance issue. She also left a message saying that the guy would be out to fix it the chimney when I didn't even want him to come out. I had to call the police chief to call her and tell her I didn't want him out.

Our original request also included chimney sweeping. We had just moved into this new house and wanted to make sure we weren't going to cause a chimney fire when we started burning wood in our new wood-burning fireplace. When Chimney Wizard went to clean the chimney, they noticed that it was clean. The prior owners must have had it cleaned when they converted the fireplace to gas. They notified us that it didn't need to be cleaned and did not charge us for that. The damper and the fireplace are both working to perfection.

John was prompt in all aspects of service, very polite and helpful.

THEY WERE FANTASTIC AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. COMPANY WAS FAIRLY PROMPT WHEN RETURNING A CALL TO SET AN APPOINTMENT (NEXT DAY) BUT AFTER THAT IT WENT DOWN HILL. MY WIFE AND I RELY ON ANGIE'S LIST FOR ALL OF OUR CONTRACTING NEEDS. NOT ONLY FOR QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS BUT, ALSO AS A TIME MANAGEMENT TOOL. THAT'S RIGHT, ALTHOUGH MOST CONTRACTORS DON'T UNDERSTAND OR SIMPLY DON'T RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES TIME. TODAY (10/13/05) MY WIFE RACED HOME TO MEET CHIMNEY WIZARD AT THE AGREED UPON TIME. THEY WERE NOT THERE, HOWEVER THERE WAS A NOTE ON THE DOOR HOWEVER THAT SAID, THE APPOINTMENT WAS AT 12:30, PLEASE CALL 555-1234 TO BLAH BLAH . THE ODD THING WAS THAT WAS @ 12:30. SO I CALLED THEIR OFFICES AND SPOKE TO THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE AND ASKED WHY HE LEFT, HER ANSWER WAS "YOUR WIFE WAS NOT THERE, HE LEFT @ 12:40." I LOOKED AT MY ATOMIC CLOCK (CAN NEVER BE WRONG) AND GUESS WHAT? IT WAS 12:40. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY PROVIDE GOOD WORK BUT THAT WAS SIMPLY UNPROFESSIONAL. THE GUY CAME EARLY AND LEFT EARLY.

I LEFT A MESSAGE THE FIRST TIME I CALLED, BUT THEY DID NOT CALL ME. I CALLED AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER AND GOT A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE POLITE. THOUGH I WAS QUOTED AT LEAST $125.00 FOR THE SERVICE, AFTER FINDING NO CLEANING NECESSARY, THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME.

RACCOON REMOVED WAS INCREDIBLY GROSS AND SMELLY, BUT THEY DID IT IN GOOD SPIRIT AND EFFICIENTLY. THEY WERE VERY PERSONABLE AND EXTREMELY PUNCTUAL.
