CHIMNEY WIZARD

We called Swift Chimney/Chimney Wizard from the recommendation of a friend in August. They came out Aug 10th to check the chimney and gave an estimate. We promptly called back that day and asked to be put on the schedule. The price was very good compared to the other estimates for the same work. At that time, we didn't have any glaring issues, we were trying to be proactive. The woman taking our calls (who was very nice through out this whole thing) said about 2 weeks to be serviced. A month passed, I left a few voicemails, no return calls. I finally got her again at the end of Sept. and explained that now we had a leaking chimney that was leaking through our porch roof. She said they were working on getting us scheduled. Today is October 27, and we have not gotten a reply of any kind. We found another company but we lost 2 months and are hoping we can get our now-leaking chimney fixed before winter. My advice, a friend said they are great about cleaning chimneys but I dont recommend them to do any repairs as you may be waiting a long time!

Contacted Chimney Wizard/ Swift Chimney Services to have my chimney cleaned and inspected. Upon inspection, around 8/20, they told me that my chimney need tuck pointing. They gave me a quote to do the job. I contacted them on 8/24 (4 days later) and was scheduled for the work on 9/11. No call, no show on the 11th. When I called they said they canceled due to adverse weather (sunny and beautiful all day). Repeatedly reached out to them. Did not hear back until I pressed them for a reschedule date. Rescheduled for 10/12, 13 and 16. No show, no call on 12th. Called multiple times before I was told they didn't finish job from previous week. No show no call on the 13th. Called multiple times until I was told she was off that day. Called from a different number and she was actually there. She said the owner Paul would call me. He did not call. Was strung along for 8 weeks and now I probably will not be able to get another company out to do the job they failed to do. This is a tremendously unprofessional company. They are not dependable, do not answer or return calls, dishonest and essentially do not care about their customers. I would honestly recommend any other option before going with Chimney Wizard/ Swift Chimney Services.

HIGHLY Recommend! Booking appointment with Angie(LOVE HER!) couldn't be easier! We communicated via text which is nice (never a missed call!)& was quick to respond to questions! Her customer service is really above & beyond! She asked me to let her know how things went & if I had any suggestions for improvement! How nice to see business owners that still care about their customers experience!! The guys were great too! Very professional & CLEAN in their work( the pile of debris inside the fireplace they shake loose is amazing-wish I'd taken a photo!) They even put back some furniture I had moved away from the fireplace without asking! ++++ HIGHLY recommend. Christie Corson

Company was not responsive at all to phone calls and did not come out when promised. We had them out last Fall and they gave a verbal estimate and said we had to wait until Spring to have the work done. We tried calling several times to have them come back out to do the work and kept getting the run around. We were told they would come out and then got calls that something came up and would come out the next day, but never did. If we can't get the courtesy of a phone call and reliability of when they say they will be here BEFORE the work is done, then I have zero confidence that they would be here to do the work when promised or as promised.

Joe and Robbie were SUPER nice guys. They arrived on time and took great care to minimize any mess associated with their work. I had a very dirty chimney and they did a thorough job. I had also asked about a missing damper and Joe gave me an estimate for it to be replaced and repaired. They did such a good job, we hired them to do the additional work next week as well. We have a very excitable dog and they both went out of their way to be friendly to him, I even caught them petting him outside when they went to retrieve tools and equipment. Will add Swift Chimney to my permanent list of service providers!

Great! Serviceman was prompt, helpful, kept things as clean as one can consider when cleaning a chimney, and overall very pleasant! I will absolutely hire again when necessary.

Chimneys were inspected and cleaned. One was only a little dirty and charge was minimal.

Chimney Wizard came out promptly (the next day!) and cleaned out the dead bird, and put a new cap on our chimney so it won't happen again. They didn't charge us for a full chimney cleaning because it wasn't required (we have a gas burning fireplace and we hardly ever use it) so I really appreciated that. They were friendly, efficient, and cost-effective.

The chimney was swept and cleaned from years of not being used. He gave me pointers on the operation of my wood burning stove. Quick job and tidy clean up. I'm satisfied with the service and would use them again

I'd moved into a house with a stove that had sat for a number of years previous to the purchase and was unsure of its condition. As a result, we hadn't used it since we moved in a few years ago. I'd called for a cleaning and inspection and a cap installation. Scheduling was a piece of cake and they came out New's Year Eve too! They arrived early (but not too early) and set about answering all my questions in an open, honest, and friendly manner. In the end, the chimney didn't require any cleaning, the stove was in great shape, they installed the cap, and only charged for a service call. I will definitely use them again - it was a great experience.

They were clean. They were professional. They did a good job. It was excellent.

they did really professional work and gave good counsel on some damage we had elsewhere that had nothing at all to do with the chimney. Saved us a lot of money.

He was on-time, they were very responsive to my call for an appointment. He cleaned the chimney but after he left I looked up inside and there were leaves and spiderwebs up in the chimney. I am certainly no expert, but I thought those would be gone with the cleaning?

He came exactly at the stated time, I was a little late getting back from an appointment and missed him. I called when I realized he had been there and he came right back. Went up on my roof and found that the chimney cap was blocked, he cleaned it and charged me only $45.00, which was the minimum for a visit. He was very curteous and very honest, he coudl have told me anything and he did not.

Paul and his crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did a nice job tuckpointing and repairing chimney cap. We hated the design of our fireplace and it had bricks and mortar that were loose and falling out. They completely tore apart the hearth and front of fireplace and rebuilt it nicer than new. It now looks great, we are very happy with the results. I would certainly recommend Swift to anyone who needs chimney or fireplace work.

You could not even tell he was here -- extremely neat and clean and he was professional in all aspects.

We needed a fireplace and chimney inspection for insurance purposes and, if necessary, a cleaning. I spoke with Chimney Wizard on Monday and had an appointment for the following day. When the tech arrived in a marked van, and wearing an identifying t-shirt, he was on time. He was friendly and even nice to the dog, As he removed his shoes he reviewed the purpose for the visit. After a thorough visual inspection of the fireplace and flue, he said that everything looked so good that a cleaning was not needed. He went outside and took a look at things, wrote up a checklist for the insurance company and came back in. He mentioned his observation of the last year, that many people are being dropped by their insurance companies just because they have working fireplaces and/or wood stoves, even though he inspects and cleans the units annually. Grateful that we had no problems, I was happy to pay (by check) the reasonable fee.

We'd had some dripping into our firebox during the bad weather related to Hurricane Sandy. Realizing we needed a chimney cap and to have things inspected, I called Chimney Wizard and spoke with Angie about their services. She was responsive and helpful. She called me back with the information I needed. John was able to do an estimate quickly and despite it now being winter, when an unusually warm day was available he came out to install the stainless steel chimney cap. He inspected the outside chimney stack to confirm that there were no additional concerns. He also checked inside the firebox and added a bit of mortar where it had eroded. They were easy to work with and friendly. Angie told us that the work is guaranteed, even if the cap would blow off during a storm, which is something we especially appreciate. I've already recommended Chimney Wizard to friends.

I have had my chimney cleaned twice by these folks and each time they did a good job. They were on time, and cleaned up after the job. I would recommend them.
