This was a very challenging job for Mark's team. The bathtub is located under the eaves of the house so it is a curved space to work in. This is the reason I thought shower doors would be a poor design choice, as it would be extremely difficult to get them to fit properly in the unconventional space (Obvious from the water damage to the carpeting that was a problem with the previous design. We have a shower curtain now and it works just fine, thank you!). Every one of the workers had to lug their tools and equipment past a baby gate up a flight of stairs (a real hassle) to get to the work site. Every one was cheerful and courteous. They only asked us to take the baby gate down once during the entire job for something massive that had to be moved. The end result - is a truly outstanding bathroom! The way all those little tiles curve around the arched ceiling over the tub is just gorgeous! And the floor is awesome! Well, Mark himself went out and bought exactly the quarry tile that I wanted. This is beautiful workmanship all around from the plumbing to the tiling to the smallest detail. And I think that is where Mark Madger of A1 Tub & Tile stands above the rest of the contractors. He pays attention to all the little things that make the difference to the customers. Like making sure the heating duct in the wall fits in with the new design, and taking care of re-sizing the closet door to fit the new floor. And the workers he has helping him are the same way too. The man who installed the tile noticed I did not have any corner shelves for my shower so he asked me about them, and yes, I was supposed to have them, so he went out right away and got them so they could be installed. And communication! All along in the process, Mark would tell me personally, or call and let me know what was happening, who would be at the house and when. At the end of the job, everything was cleaned up like the crew was never there. I just can't say enough good things about this experience. I would definitely use them again - in fact I am currently putting money aside to make some renovations to my other bathroom.

Mark gave us an estimate a couple weeks ago. An added bonus was a senior discount which we did not even inquire about. Mark did a beautiful job. The first day he stripped the tub then resurfaced it. The second day, he applied the nonskid coating and applied the grout around the tub. He was efficient, quick, punctual, polite, and neat. We were given 7-year warranty and written instructions for long term care of the tub. Mark is very professional and I would recommend him to anyone.

They were good. We didn’t let them do anything because they were tied during Christmas. They answered all our questions. They came on time. They were willing to work with us and they got the financing. They were very polite when they came out.

They did an absolutely gorgeous job. One year later it is holding up perfectly and still looks/ feels fresh and gorgeous. Down to earth and easy to work with. When I was selecting the tile they indicated the more expensive tiles are often fussier and you don't gain much. Saved me a bundle. Simple (and inexpensive) white subway tile fit the bill. It is easy to clean, stays looking fresh, and I am happy with it. The quality of the installation job is outstanding. Honestly that is much more important than extravagant spend on tile. Comment on cost. I had gotten one other quote that was very high compared to A1 Tub and TIle; I feel A1 Tub and Tile is quite reasonably priced. I had to wait a month or two for the install, but it was totally worth the wait.

WOW! I am really impressed! Mark came out the day after I spoke with him about repairing a crack & chip in a bathroom sink and a ding in our acrylic bathtub. I also had him take a look at a cracked floor tile in another bathroom. He called the next day, as promised, to tell me he was on his way, and arrived at the appointed time. He took a look at our jobs, told me he could fix the bathtub on the spot, and did so. It's a good patch job, for sure -- but would have looked even nicer if he'd had the same crosshatch pattern to imprint the fresh patch. It doesn't match exactly, but it's small and not very noticeable. Note that he did advise me that it would not match exactly, and I CHOSE to have him go ahead with the repair; so the "B" is not fair to him, to be honest. His price on the tub repair was extremely reasonable Mark explained how he would have to go about repairing the crack in our sink, and recommended against it as it could damage it beyond repair. He also recommended against replacing the cracked floor tile unless we're ready to completely regrout (which we are not). I very much appreciate his honesty and integrity on this. I asked him to bid on a future addition to our bathroom cabinetry which will involve cutting out part of the Formica backsplash and replacing the wall-size mirror with two decorative ones above the double sink. He also made a couple of recommendations on sourcing the cabinet. His bid on our future work was reasonable as well. Mark was polite, professional, responsive, punctual, clean, honest, personable, and did quality work -- all the things you'd want a service provider to be.

Mark (the owner) explained the price would be approximately $380 per tub - he needed to strip the original resurface then reapply a new resurface. He told me it would take about 1-1/2 days per tub. I asked him if he would come 3 days in a row so both tubs could be finished as soon as possible. Mark was very accommondating and scheduled me for an afternoon on the 1st day, a full day on the 2nd, and a morning on the 3rd. The job he did on both tubs was supurb! And, he was able to resurface both tubs without removing the original resurface - thereby saving me $100 per tub!! The price was all inclusive - no additional charge for grouting, etc. as quotes from other resurfacing companies have added on to their cost. Mark was friendly, he cleaned up after the job was completed each day even though I told him he didn't have to do that. I strongly recommend this company - and Mark - to anyone who needs this service.

The person that came to do the work was excellent. He showed up exactly on time and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He cleaned up after himself and put down plastic on the floor so that he does not damage it. He asked to take a look at the work he did after he finished and I noticed a spot that he had missed and he redid the whole thing. He was very good. He was very professional. I had a good experience. He was very prompt and the price he charged me was exactly what he had quoted. He was pleasant and did a very good job.

Things went very well. I plan to use them in the future after the leak is fixed.

Overall, I was satisfied with the service I received. Mark was on time both days for service, and I am pleased at the end result.

Found various vendors on the coupon magazine company, but didn't know who to pick. I went to Angie's List and was very happy with the info provided. The tub had been refinished in 2000, but had started to chip after about a year. I thought I would try again and verify the warranty on the job. Mark was very professional and explained that the previous job was not done correctly. He arrived on time, did the job in a timely fashion and took very good care of my bathroom. I would recommend him to anyone.

I called Mark and asked him if he could stop by and refinish my sink. I gave him the dimensions and he scheduled the job for three days later. He arrived at my house on time, and explained what he was going to do. He completed the job and left me instructions on how to care for the new finish. Mark was very clean, there was no sign that he was ever there except for my awesome looking sink of course!

Professional and pleasant; estimate was right on, no surprises; took care to leave the bathroom and passage tidy; tub looks like new!

Our pink tub is now a nice off-white. It is unbelievable how well this job ended up. Of all the people I have had work at our house, Mark's job on our tub was the best job overall, no lie! I recommend to anyone.
