AWESOME SERVICE!

Great. So quick so easy.

We purchased our present house last summer. Stankus had installed the furnace in approximately 2007, so I called them for a service call just to check it over before winter. Couldn't get an appointment for 6 weeks. When they came, all filters were supposed to have been changed and the furnace was to be and quot;tuned upand quot;. I also paid for a silver level service package. On January 11, 2014 the furnace caught on fire - because per the inspector, the wiring was not properly grounded when it was installed. Further, it appears that only one of the filters was actually changed at the service call. Strongly recommend NOT using this company.

Jack Stankus, the company's owner, came out as scheduled to provide an estimate; he asked many questions about our experience with our old system and carefully inspected it along with confirming the the home's square footage to be heated and cooled. His whole approach inspired more confidence than the other two parties that had also provided us with estimates. His final price was well below the other two estimates, and the Trane equipment that he would provide had better consumer reviews than the brands to be provided with the other companies. Kirby and Danny were the two technicians who removed our old equipment and installed the new equipment. They arrived as scheduled on a Monday a.m, worked all day, and returned on Tuesday a.m. to complete the job by early afternoon. They were personable, eager to answer any questions and address any concerns. The work was done efficiently, with careful attention to a neat, clean installation and with thorough clean-up and removal of old equipment and job debris. So far, system seems to be working perfectly. The office personnel registered the new equipment for factory warranties for us, and sent in paperwork to quality for rebate from GoodCents/Dominion East Ohio Gas Home Energy Performance program. We received a nice follow-up letter thanking us for our business and also a pint of maple syrup. At this point, we are very satisfied and are happy to commend this company for consideration by other Angie's List members.

What I liked from the start is they gave you a one hour time frame of when they would arrive. Other contractors usually will give you a 8-12 Noon time frame so I would lose a whole day of work waiting for them to come out. They were extremely courteous and did exactly what they quoted they would do. Laid down tarps every where they walked inside the home. They were here a total of three times. First for the quote and then two times to complete the job. They were very efficient and Dan took the time to explain to me everything about the new system he installed. There quote beat the company I had been using for ten years and I felt they were very honest and fair with their pricing. I would highly recommend them and I can honestly say that I will be using them from now on as my Heating and Air Conditioning contractor.

The provider was prompt, which we appreciated since it was the dead of winter. He was able to get our furnace working again quickly.

Our furnace didn't turn on one morning. Stankus was able to be to our house the quickest. The serviceman was experienced and efficient. Our heat was back on in no time.

I called them around 8:15 in the morning. They person answering the phone needed to hear from the techs, but indicated that we would likely have to wait until the next day. To my pleasant surprise, they called me around 11:15 to ask how soon I could meet them at my home. They beat me to the house by 7 minutes, then got to work straight away. I asked them a number of questions on a variety of topics, and Kirby was able to answer all of them, obviously drawing on lot's of experience. He readily provided many good tips above and beyond the original questions. Knock on wood I won't be presented with another opportunity to need HVAC services any time soon, but when/if I do, I will be calling the fine folks at Jack Stankus.

I placed a call to Stankus Heating and Cooling due to no heat. The service man showed up at the scheduled time and determined and fixed the problem in about a half hour.

I have used them for years. They installed my original forced air system and also installed our high efficiency. They offer good prices and great workmanship. They have come out and performed repairs for me as well. They are very reliable.

The serviceman was very professional and courteous, however, I was shocked when the bill was TWICE the price of the quote I got on the phone a few days earlier. The person giving me the quote failed to mention that there was a $25 trip charge, $45 to vacuum, and $26 to replace a nozzle and filter which is standard to the yearly servicing. Due to the fact that these extra charges were not offered to me as an option, I feel this was not professional. I called and suggested that from now on they give customers a more accurate estimate than was given to me.

They were great people. They were very quick and came out the same day. We have been using them for a couple of years now.

Installation was smooth and professional. New unit recommended by company is much quieter and more efficient than the old one. All clean-up was good, and the company has flexible payment plans for large purchases like this. Overall - very happy.

We returned to our home on a very cold January Sunday to a house without heat. I called Stankus and a service man arrived within 3 hours. He cleaned plugged drain and got the system going, days later the furnace stopped again. A second service man arrived within a few hours and determined that the blower had failed. He said that there was no connection with the service call three days earlier. Cost of the first call was $215, and $255 for the second call.

Very well. The heating specialist was very informative in how the system worked, as well as suggestions on how to improve the system. No complaints whatsoever.

I have used Stankus Heating and Cooling on two previous occasions but I always received a quote. On those occasions the prices quoted were very reasonable and the work was performed as quoted. On the last one I just scheduled a routine service call-not emergency, rush, weekend or late night-and the service call came to $180($100 labor, $65 diagnosis fee, $20 trip charge) in labor for an hour job. The parts seemed fairly priced to me. The workmanship was fine and the service tech was friendly and knowledgeable, however he was an hour late and didn't call. My advice is always get a quote from these guys.

A dufus w/ the gas service line on a Friday at 10:30am. He claimed he didn't have the right fittings. Disappeared for rest of day. Saturday brought a snowstorm and a 24 hour do ufr failure. No heat for 24 hrs with generator sitting outside unconnected. The crew they sent Monday did the job that should have been done Friday. Not a good experience.

They did an outstanding job. They did not try to sell me anything that I did not need.

They were very prompt, courteous and professional. Was very pleased with the work performed and their timeliness in completing the job. The price was terrific.

WE RECEIVED A WELCOME WAGON COUPON FOR THIS COMPANY, AND DECIDED TO TRY THEM OUT. THE SERVICE WAS FINE, HOWEVER, WE WERE SLAPPED WITH A DECENT-SIZED "TRAVEL CHARGE" THAT WE WERE NOT AWARE OF WHEN WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT. WE DEFINITELY DIDNT APPRECIATE THIS KIND OF SURPRISE, AND MOST LIKELY WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE OF IT.

KIRBY WAS VERY PROMPT, CLEAN, AND ATTENTIVE TO HIS WORK. HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE DUCT WORK.

THEY WERE OUT FOR 20 MINUTES AND THEY BRUSHED THE BERRIES AND LEAVES OFF THE A/C AND THEY SAID THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. HE TOLD ME NOTHING ABOUT A CLOGGED AIR FILTER, OR THE THERMOSTAT, AND HE NEVER CLEANED FURNACE.

NOT THE LOWEST PRICE IN TOWN, BUT NOT THE HIGHEST EITHER. FAIR PRICE, EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. THE VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY IS DEFINITELY THERE. JACK KNOWS BOILER HEATERS INSIDE AND OUT AND IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THOROUGH.
