Stankus Heating & Cooling

Got a call with a message that search though they may the part was no longer available but they would be happy to help quite and install a new hotvater heater. This didn’t seem right, name brand appliance 12 years old. It took me five minutes to find and order the part online. $200.00 This is dishonesty and would have cost us a couple of grant instead of a few hundred. They used to service our AC and Furnace. They will ever step foot in our ho,e again.

It was fine. They were on time, very efficient, and we hadn't had any problems.

Horrible. They installed a new boiler 4 years ago. No Heat today. Left message in early afternoon and heard that they wouldn't be back in until the next day. Never returned my call. Had to find someone to come help us with heat. When I learned that my 4 year old boiler had to be replaced, I called Stankus again and again had to leave a message because, again in the early afternoon they were gone for the day. Left emergency message and asked what the warranty was on the boiler. When I finally got "her" on the phone I was told that "she" was not in the office but would call me. Never heard back AGAIN. When I was able to get her live on the phone , she said there was a warranty but they would be unwilling to help me since I had someone else look at it. She couldn't give me any information other than the previous owners should have left me warranty information. Really? I called Stankus first and second and their lack of follow-up forced me to have someone else come to look at the boiler and tell me why I had no heat. Stankus simply never even returned calls and weren't in the office past early afternoon. Stankus simply told me I had to find another heating company to figure out my warranty.

They are very good! I liked them a lot.

Clint & Ray were very professional & available to answer my questions, knowledgeable. There was no evidence of them working at the end of each day. Quality workmanship. Great team work.

The new HVAC is great. There is now uniform temperature throughout the house. It remains cool even on the hottest days, so far. We have even needed to raise the thermostat (same one as before the upgrade) a degree in order to compensate for the lower humidity and uniform temperature. The men were on time and completed the job on schedule.

They have been our A/C go to for 25 years they are pleasant, clean, efficient. Appointments have been easy to get and flexible to fit our schedule.

Technician was very helpful in finding problem. He gave a comprehensive analysis of costs to repair or replace. I chose to replace and installation occurred 10 days later due to supplier delay.

After a lightning strike in August last year and a protracted negotiation with insurance Stankus got the new furnace ordered, in and the old out without delay. He helped too in communicating with the insurance company, clearly explaining why a replacement was necessary and just a repair. All staff from the office to each of the workers on site were attentive, patient, thorough and professional. We appreciate their exceptional work and their sensitivity.

Sadly enough after spending over $15,000.00 with this company, the owner (Jack Stankus) was reluctant and very slow to react to defective water softener. After a couple months and much back and forth, issue was finally resolved. Now I had a plumber come out to do some work on the sink and I was informed that Stankus never installed a shut off valve for the hot water tank. The plumber said in 20 years he had never seen a company install a new hot water tank and not put in a shut off valve. I did reach out to Jack Stankus and advised him I had to pay a plumber to install the valve. Jack was very indignant and refused to take responsibility. He was very sarcastic and patronizing on the phone, suggesting that maybe the plumber was lying so he could charge more. It was really unbelieveable. I am just writing this review to warn other consumers.

I'd use them again. The price I got, I know is a great price because they were cheaper than anybody else. The quality of the replacements were better than anybody else. The extras they did to make the job complete stuck out to me. They did extra work that they could have charged me for, I think and they didn't.

My heat pump had died (at leadst 18 years old). I called Stankus as the had done the previous install, and 99% of the service cals to the unit through the years. They were able to come out asap (during the July 2016 heat) when others i called were giving me 3 week lead times just to come out and look at it. Stankus quoted me a very reasonable price (i had done my homework on pricing and quality units) and they offered discounts for full payment or 6 months no interest. They said the project would take 2 days & they had it done in just a little over a day. All emploees were very professional and I'm happy (and cool!) - would definately call them again.

Very well; Stankus is a good, reliable HVAC contractor who has served us in our home for 30 years.

The service person arrived at the scheduled time and promptly completed the work. Before leaving he went over the details of the job.

I came home from a trip to Arizona and didn't have any heat. I supplied the materials and their technician installed the parts. The technician, Toby, was courteous, prompt, and capable. Since I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the mechanicals in my house, I asked a lot of questions and they were answered with patience. The boiler is running fine, and I'm satisfied with the work completed. I would recommend this company.

Stankus men were prompt and courteous. Very efficient and professional. They explained everything cleanly and answered all my questions. I am very pleased with their service and with my new furnace.

On time, courteous, patient, thorough, articulate, went the "extra mile".

They showed up on time. They first put down tarps thru-out the house to protect the floor. They went to work immediately. The first day they worked steady and stayed a little late so they could have the air conditioner up and running before they left for the day. This was greatly appreciated because the weather was hot and humid and because of them I finally got a good nights sleep. The next day they were back early and went right to work finishing the installation. They answered all of my concerns as to combustible air and venting of furnace and my hot water tank. They reworked both vents to insure proper venting. Before leaving I was educated on the new programmable (free) thermostat. Jack Stankus Inc. has been my go to service provider since I moved in to my home 25 yrs, ago.

Although the tank had much more heating oil in it than I told them, they were able to get it out of the house utilizing some cleverness. No damage was done and they cleaned up well before they left. Cost was less than half what I had been quoted bu a large plumbing company.

The installer, Bob Lederle, showed up on time as scheduled and was very professional. He was very knowledgable, thorough, and completed the job in a timely manner.

These guys did a great job and we'll be using them in the future. They also came recommended by a contractor friend...can't beat referrals from guys that know the business.

Stankus is always quick to respond when we need them. This time it was just a maintenance call and so we scheduled for when it was convenient for us and them. We have used them for years and they are good hard working and reliable company. I forget what they charged so my guess of $120 is a guess. It might have been more.
