Clover Electric

Clover is WAY overpriced. We had them out to give an estimate to install 2 ceiling fans and 2 bathroom vents. They wanted over $3,000 to do the job. I used another electrcian to do the exact same job for a third of the price. Clover charged $79 just to come out and give the quote. No other electricians did that. Clover also wanted $400 just to diagnose several outlets in my garage that weren't working. The other electrician I used fixed them for free in 2 minutes by finding the GFI switch that had been tripped. Clover was very professional, but I wouldn't hire them unless I had money to burn.

The contractor showed up on time, calling prior to advise me of when to expect him. I explained to him what I needed and he listened carefully. He explained their pricing approach to me so that it was understood. He wrote up a contract with the cost and presented it to me. He accepted the coupon I had gotten at their web site and provided me with the price. He also asked if there was anything else he could help that could be included in his quote. I said not at this time and he proceeded to prepare the areas and get to work. He cleaned up nicely and put my heavy furniture back in it's place. He was done in a short time and went on his way. He was very professional and his worked looked like it was there all along! I will certainly call them again when I have a need.

When I called, I asked if they could do the work the same day if I liked the estimate, and they came through! Jeff arrived within the service window, did the estimate. When he went to get the materials he needed, he called to let me know that some of what he needed was not in stock, would I like to reschedule? or he could drive out and get it, it would just take alittle longer. I went with same day. He obtained the items he needed, worked inside making good use of his time when it started raining/storming outside. He called in another guy to assist so the job wouldn't go into dinnertime (due to the delay with the items not in stock). They ended up finishing by about 4:45pm, which was great! Jeff showed me what he was doing and explained. After he showed me my service panel during the course of his work, he gave me an estimate on replacing it (my house is 50+) years old. I was very happy with his work!

They were good, but I thought they were expensive. I liked the guy they sent out. They had a monthly feed program to get a discount on any work done which I did for about a year.

Very fast response time. Very professional. However very overpriced. Did not use their services. 79$ fee to come out and look. 3900 for a panel upgrade.

They did some electrical work around the house. They were punctual, professional, and showed up when they said they would. They did their work well. Their prices are in line with standard electrician rates.

It went very well. we were looking for some advice about wiring in a bathroom that had no ground. The guys were very quick and knowledgeable and let us know that the cost of redoing the bath was probably prohibitive given the value of the home. I really appreciated their service.

They were very good in every respect. I was very pleased with the cost, the service, the promptness, and the whole thing. They were very professional in every respect.

Within 5 business days Mike T. from Clover Electric was in my house doing my repairs. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable explaining everything in detail and giving us our options. Mike also went out of his way to help my wife when he discovered our hot water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. We were so impressed with his work, professionalism and knowledge that we decided to enroll in the VIP Service Partner Membership and since it was already 9:00pm when he finished he came back the next day to do the whole house inspection which is part of the membership.

Came on a separate job and gave us a quote for the new electrical box. Came at appointed time and replaced box with new ground wire. Set up appointment with electrical inspector. It passed inspection. Very professional, polite service. Also repaired electrical problem underneath sink for garbage disposal .

The gentlmen that came to my house were absolutely wonderful! It was the middle of the night and snowing heavily. Half of my house was without power and I didn't know why. They came out immediately and fixed it for me. I had 4 separate breaker boxes in my basement and a couple days later they came back and replaced them with one breaker to control my whole house. I am having them come out again in a couple of weeks to replace the wiring and plugs in my dinning room and living room. They are so nice and professional and were always conscious about my cat who was investigating them. They always made sure the doors were closed and he wasn't around trying to escape with them. I don't know much about electrical work, but I felt like the pricing was fair for the amount of work they did for me, especially in a snow storm! I can't say enough good things about them!

I don’t recall there being any troubles with scheduling. There were additional costs, but they were upfront about them. I liked how the technician explained everything and all of my options beforehand. They completed the work in one day and cleaned up well after the job was complete. It turned out well

It worked out fine. I thought they were professional and they were knowledgeable. They're also very expensive even with the big deal. The work was good. The interaction was good but I ended up getting another quote from someone else which was less expensive so I hired them instead. I spent more than the big deal purchase. They came out the next week after I purchased the big deal.

We had several frustrating delays caused by Cleveland Public Power being nonresponsive and unavailable. The electrician, Howard, was extremely patient and calm. He explained everything to me and waited and waited while I tried to contact CPP. He had to come back to the property at least 3 times before CPP got their act together to help us. The woman answering the phone, Georgianne, was also very patient and calm about the situation. I really appreciated their help and calm manners.

The electrician said he was going to need two people to hang the chandelier. I offered to help him myself, but he said he didn't want to take the liability and that he was going to call in another person from their company. When the second guy came he told me that he had just got done hanging the exact same chandelier with the help of another customer. They ended up charging me $700 to connect the chain on the chandelier which was outrageous. I called the supervisor and he gave me some excuses about how the other person didn't actually hang the same chandelier, but even if that was the case, the point is that he still got help from another customer, that option was never even offered to me and I ended up paying double the price for something that should have been quite simple. I actually asked to speak to the owner and he did not reply.

The electrician was polite, professional and spent a lot of time working to find a way to run electricity from the basement to the attic. It cost more than I anticipated because of the time and difficulty involved, but I understood the additional cost. The work was completed, everything was cleaned up after and my attic fan has been running well every since.

The installer took extra care not to damage our new house exterior wall. He did an excellent job!

I was not happy at all with their efforts. Did not as other electrical contractors did for free provide a detailed quote. Just a single price which was given at more than 10k for the work. Other contractors that did provide a detailed breakdown of each part of the task for free were in some cases 8k less. It appears that Clover is use to working in the more affluent neighborhoods where money is no object. I would not use Clover again for any work far too expensive. I think they should at least for there $79 fee provide a detailed quote. F for the services provided. D for the experience.

Scheduling was easy. He did a list of some electric jobs. They were reliable, efficient, and got everything done on my list. I would recommend them.

They charge to come out, review the issue and provide a quote. The quote was SO high. I had the issue repaired by a different electrician; the cost was 3x less expensive than Clovers quote.

I asked them some questions and got a quote.

I had called two electricians. One did not return my call. Clover was the other one. Clover charged to come out and give me an estimate. I think the cost was $75.00. The estimate was very high -- $1500, however, I did not have another electrician available at the time. The workmanship was excellent. The entire job went very well. The only negatives were charging for an estimate and the very high prices. As a side note, the $50.00 Angies List coupon cannot be used to pay for part of the estimate.

They were informed of the work to be done but they hadn't brought the lights with them so two people went to the supply house to pick up the halogen lights. As indicated their work was very professional and my wife had agreed to the price before they did the work so shame on us. But replacing 6 light bulbs for $750 was an excessive price in my opinion.
