Clover Electric

I needed an electrician to install my Tesla wall charger. Clover charged me $79 for an estimate. Any research will tell you that wall charger installation is between $500-$2000 with the high-end for adding a subpanel or new breaker panel. My installation didn't need either of those. Their "estimate" was for a ridiculous $3457. They made no attempt to justify the cost or give a breakdown of materials and labor. To top it off, the person who came to my house had the audacity to say they were only going to make 5% on the job. At that point he lost what little credibility he had left. I got a quote from another company (SkyCharge Energy), who I ultimately went with, for the same job items for $1,095. They talk about a "5-star" experience, I choked at having to just give them one star. I am thrilled with the work that SkyCharge did, which was honest and did an incredible job. I'm glad I avoided Clover. I recommend you avoid Clover at all costs.

BEWARE of this company’s pricing. We have used Clover Electric for a number of service and have been satisfied. But yesterday we were ripped off. We needed to have three smoke detectors installed and some light bulbs changed. We were VIP members of this company so we called them. When the technician arrived he said that he would start with a 15 point safety check and come up with proposals on our work. After about 45 minutes he gave us three proposals, we chose the one to install three smoke sectors. The price seemed high but I OKed it. He had to leave to get the detectors which took and half to three quarters of an hour. He installed the detectors in about 20 or 30 minutes. I asked for a breakdown of the bill and he said it is only presented as a proposal. We paid the $867.00 for the job, yes $867.00. As I thought I was more concerned about the cost so I called the office. I got a hold of a supervisor and he said that he could understand my concern but offered no reduction. He first said that there was $150.00 cost for the detectors - there were cheaper models but we were not made aware of it. He then explained that Clover prices to get $175.00 per hour from their trucks. And the time starts when the technician loads the truck at the office. And ends when he drives away. So we were charged $175.00 per hour for him to drive to our house, $175.00 per hour for the 15 point safety check (that was never explained), $175.00 per hour for him to figure the proposals and present them, $175.00 per hour for him to drive to get the detectors and then $175.00 per hour for the installation. The supervisor said I was really getting a break because if you add up the time I should be paying around $1,000.00 for installing three smoke detectors. As I stated I tried getting relief from the company, none was given. So take my advice BEWARE.

Colton arrived on time and gave a detailed description of what needed to be done and the price. He added GFCI and bubble covers to 3 outdoor outlets, replaced a damaged outlet in the basement, and replaced a stacked switch by the front door that had multiple switches but 1 was defective. Another company had looked at this switch earlier this year and had no idea how to repair. The work done was great and I am very satisfied.

Everything is functioning okay except the fan. They need to come back to work on the attic fan again because it's not working properly. But my main problem was the billing and providing proper instructions to use the equipment.

They were very good, they were excellent. They cleaned up and go around to check some debris and their cleaning was excellent. They were very hard workers. They take great pride of their work.

Great! I had a bad experience with another company in January so I needed to have their mistake fixed. I called Clover and Stephanie was able to get me scheduled quickly. Jeff and Dean came out and I decided to have them do the main jobs and added the cans at the last minute, it was an impulse purchase. I came from my job to outdoor lights that give beautiful light and I am really enjoying the new cans that were installed. They were great with communication and they cleaned up so well that I did not know that they had been there. You might find a less expensive price, but this company was so professional from start to finish and I appreciate quality. Thanks Clover, I am loving my new lights!

went very well. They are an excellent company, but are more expensive than some of their competitors. however, I reached a person right away, made an appointment immediately, they were on time, seemed to do a good job (my house hasn't burned down) and they cleaned up after themselves well.

I had some issues with some shorts. I think they installed a couple GFI outlets. Everything was great. They knew what they were doing. They were knowledgeable and processional. They explained what they did when they were done. The work took probably an hour.

I told the service please leave as I would have another electrician do the work. The service fee f $79.00 was returned . Lowes Home Improvement just installed the same fan for $75.00 . No new box was needed.

Wonderful! They were prompt, respectful and spent time walking me through the updates so I felt comfortable with the services and the options.

The technician was on time and really professional. He didn't mind me popping in to watch or ask an occasional question. He did a neat, professional job with great attention to detail. We will absolutely be hiring them in the future for a couple of additional things we'd like done.

Clover is all about quality and being professional, and will always be who I will call for electrical work.

Terrible highest prices on the net.

Super professional - showed me how i could save some $ by joining a preferred member. Mike and Mike always handle with no issues and explain the job. The scheduling/front office is super nice and responsive. Price is a bit higher than i'm used to with smaller contractors, but the service makes it worth it.

After some trial and error with other providers, Clover was able to solve our wiring issue to the extent that we had them do a larger re-wiring project. We felt like we were in good hands and that it was worth the time and expense to upgrade our home since we were confident it would be done well. Dan was in our house for a couple of days leading the project and provided regular updates and guidance. We feel confident relying on them for future needs.

The two electricians that came out were very nice, and appeared knowledgeable. However, the quotes they provided for the work to be performed was outrageous if not criminal. They quoted $300 to simply replace a 3-way switch. The switch only costs $4, and it was a matter of flipping the breaker, removing the switch from the 3 wires and connecting the same three wires to a new switch. I ended up doing this work myself in 10 minutes. Clover also quoted $2000 to replace 12 ceiling bulbs in a 25ft great room with 12 new LED bulbs. Not replacing the cans but simply unscrewing the 12 existing bulbs and screwing in the 12 new LED bulbs. I asked them are you serious $2000 for just this, and they said yes we will need to build scaffolding etc. I sent them on their way after this. Thereafter, I went to Home Depot bout an $18 bulb changer 11ft extender pole and 12 new LED bulbs at $10 apiece. I climbed a small step ladder and used the extender pole to change out each bulb. This was all done in less than 30 minutes at a materials cost of $140. So, in short, my experience with this company was nothing less than terrible. I even spoke to the manager about what happened. He did not apologize or offer to refund the $79 service fee, he simply said I reviewed the quote and it appears we are not a good fit for you.

I called on Thursday 9/8 mid morning and got a call from the technician at 11:30 and he was at our house at 12:30 same day. I've never received such excellent service before. The Technician was very professional and really knows what he is doing. He found out that the wire running under ground was no good which would would be a very costly repair. He gave us some less expensive alternatives which really helped. We selected an option that met with our finances and he had it fixed in an hour and that includes going to get the parts! I'm very happy and will use them again.

They were extremely good they just pricey, they were neat, they were very efficient but just pricey. for electricians they were extremely neat I am a neat freak and you just can't tell that they have been there.

They were extremely polite, professional and courteous but they were very expensive. The experience was top notch. It was over $300 to replace the ceiling fan. They didn't have to provide the ceiling fan. They should become more economical.

This is my fourth time using Clover Electric and I have been very pleased with their professionalism. Today, I had Lawerence as a technician. He viewed the scope of work that was needed to be done and made every effort to make sure that I was satisfied with quote and the quality of work. The work was completed to my satisfaction. He asked me did I need any further service and said he will follow up with me to make sure the everything was working up to my satisfaction. Great Organization!
