Clover Electric

Our breaker box was not working and needed repair. Clover Electric came to diagnosis the problem and to let me know what needs to be done. The technician wrote an estimate for the repairs that needed to be made and the estimate was between $1,000-$16,000 to repair the breaker. He left having cut wires that he did not re-attached and left me with the same problem I had before, a broken breaker box. I have a friend that is a retired electrician and he came over to inspect the problem. He disconnected the bad circuits, cap them off, and since then the breaker box has worked fine. He was able to diagnosis the problem and get it resolved within 10 minutes. If the technician from Clover Electric took the time to really look at the problem, we would have been able to fix the breaker, but instead they gave me an outrageous estimate and did not fix my problem.

I called Clover on 1/26/2016 addressing my concern, and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The techs (Chris and Lawrence) were outstanding! They answered my questions, were professional, and quickly fixed the broken circuit breaker. I plan on working with them again in the future. I highly recommend their services!

I called Clover & they are very friendly & professional. They call before they arrive and cover their shoes. I had them look at 2 fans that were not working. The first fan was not working because the remote was turned to off by a house guest & I usually just turn on & off with switch on wall. The second fan had them puzzled. They were here for over 2 hours, so I called the manufacturer. The manufacturer said that the receiver was bad, so I ordered the part. They put the fan back together & gave me the bill for their service & to come back & replace the receiver when it came in. The bill was for $600.61!!!!! I could have bought 2 new fans that price. $329.28 was for their diagnosis, but I was the one who called the manufacturer & I'm the one that ordered & paid for the part. They wanted another $271.33 to come back to install the receiver. This is all just for labor, which comes out to over $200 per hour. What electrician makes over $350,000 a year! I will never hire anyone ever again that won't tell me how much they charge per hour! I paid the the $329.28, plus I had a coupon for $50! What a joke that coupon was! I'm out that money & still have a fan that doesn't work. I told them to not come back I would call someone else. I called another electrician who charged me $60 for a service call plus $60 per hour & it took him 1/2 hour to install new part. I don't know how Clover can get away with charging that kind of money. Highway robbery!

I called CLover Electric on Thursday, August 13th, and was able to schedule service for Wednesday the 19th. I had to reschedule the service later, and it wasn't a problem at all - they easily accommodated the time that was convenient to me. However, when I asked them about estimate, they proudly said that they do not give one and they do not charge for an hour. That should have been a red flag, but I thought that their price would be reasonable. The technician called timely about 40 min before appointment time and checked if I can make it. He actually had to wait for about a minute for me. He jumped on to work immediately and was very professional and courteous. He explained me two options and showed me the prices for each. That was the moment when my eyes almost popped out. Since I am a lousy electrician, to say the least, I paid the cost of the "best case scenario", and, thankfully, it worked. However, $400 for replacing wall GFI unit seems a bit high. Pros: timely, professionally, clean. Cons: no estimate, unreasonably high price.

Loved the first visit where they did the an evaluation and sat down and gave an estimate. The estimate was pricey, but for the promptness, professionalism and quality of work, it was easier to digest the cost in the end. Both men were polite, efficient and treated our home and family with respect. I would recommend them to friends in a heartbeat.

I called to schedule an appointment to have 3 outlets and a switch put in my unfinished basement. I was told they charge $79 to have someone come and give me a quote. $79 just to have someone tell me how much it will cost IF I use their service?!?! Not gonna happen.

They seem fine. That's all I remember and they did the work.

I had a crazy situation with some electrical wiring that my dog ate during a fit of rage. She managed to chew through a door frame and take out the wiring to my rear doorbell and 2 light switches on separate walls, that powered an overhead hall light. Dan T. came to the rescue offering me 3 different solutions. He took his time to trace the wiring back to the source of power to ensure it was safe, completely killed the circuit for me (at my request, due to my budget), but he also tried to save one of the switches but wasn't comfortable with keeping it powered due to potential safety issues. He was very friendly, and efficient. I would highly recommend him! Also, the Customer Care Rep, Stephanie is a doll as well! She was a pleasure to chat with! Thanks Clover!

This provider came out twice to do electrical service for me. Excellent! Their work was efficient, they cleaned up after themselve and they were quick completing the job. They drove a long way in snow to complete this service for me.

Arrived very promptly and worked thoroughly and efficiently. Everything done as described. Very happy with the work!

They were able to come right away. The young man who came over was very personable and knowledgeable. It was a pleasant experience.

They did come out a couple of times and give me an estimate. He gave me a written estimate right away. They also called me afterwards to follow up with me afterwards. The technician was great. Their bid was a little higher than what we wanted and we are having someone else do the work.

The doorbell works well now and the once vulnerable wires are now protected by a coating that is impervious to the waterproof coating on the basement walls. The two electricians were well mannered and knowledgeable. They gave the quote before they performed the work. The price was a bit high but the work required more than one hour. The work was well done.

Would definitely not contact in the future. The provided several options. The full estimate was to install an exterior outlet on a deck (the wiring is already in place), install two dimmer switches (I had one of the switches already) and replace an outdated light switch in the upstairs hallway. None of these involved running new wire of any sort whatsoever. They were going to charge $400 just to install one dimmer (no parts required) and replace one duplex light switch. This is flat crazy. For $79 dollars, I learned my lesson.

They completed this while we were on vacation and I provided them with the key to my house. They called me each day, per my request, to give me updates on the work, which took four days to complete. Harold provided a recommendation for a very experienced drywall/plaster repair person to complete this additional needed work. I would definitely recommend their service. They really went above and beyond for us.

They were just wonderful. They were very professional, on time, and very clean. They were very informative, and took the time to explain what they were doing.

I guess you could say, "Not well." The price quoted for just the two fans was enough to kill the deal. The other potential work brought the total amount they quoted to over $4,000.

They are very nice, they do very good work, and they come in a reasonable time span, which is very rare for an electric company.

We didn’t have any complaints. We’ve used them twice. One time they added an outlet in the basement. They have their prices listed in a book so there aren’t cost surprises. I would definitely use them again and they advertise in our church bulletin.

They showed up on time and we're very courteous, listened to the problems I mentioned and recon firmed with me what I was asking. Also, very polite over the phone.
