The work took 1½ days, and the crew was punctual, courteous, professional and informative, and kept things neat & clean. They also made sure that all circuitry in the main and existing distribution panels was in good shape, secure and properly grounded. Overall, we are completely satisfied (and impressed) with the work done.

Sam started by consulting the company that installed our metal roof. He didn't want to void the warranty by drilling holes to mount the cables, and with their help decided on an adhesive to hold the mounting clamps in place. A spell of good weather allowed him to install the clamps around the perimeter of the roof. I opted for the heavy-duty heating cables, which were mounted in a beautiful scalloped pattern along the lower edges of the roof just above the gutters and look like extra ornamentation. The cables also run along the top of the helmeted gutters, through the gutters themselves, and down the downspouts. A separate sub panel to control the system was installed next to my existing breaker box. Armored cable was used for exposed electrical lines, and all connections and boxes are neatly labeled to facilitate any future work. After spending a large sum on the new roof, I was happy to invest in a quality deicing system that would protect it. My home needs to be completely rewired to meet the current building codes, and I will be having Sam and Clover Electric do all the work. They are fantastic: competent, professional, patient, and friendly and always intent on doing the BEST job, not the easiest or the cheapest.

My 60-year-old home has a nightmare of tangled knob-and-tube wiring that Sam has been slowly but steadily rewiring to a one-room/one-breaker arrangement in the breaker box. When I recently discovered that my furnace wasn't working, I thought it might have been the result of something being inadvertently disconnected. Sam came out the same day and, in checking the wiring, discovered the problem: when I had my hot water heater replaced, the plumber evidently mis-connected some wiring and cut off power to the furnace. Sam corrected the problem. I won't let anyone but Clover Electric work as my electricians!

Nobody followed it up and I used another contractor.

I called to request a quote to install 6 new lighting fixtures in my 90-year-old house. This company wants $79 to come to my house, look at the job and give me a quote. The person who answered the phone was not interested in talking about hanging my six fixtures; she gave me a whole spiel about some "special deal" she had to do some sort of electrical home inspection and then quote that work. What? That wasn't even what I called about.I will definitely not be using this company.

I called Clover Electric because of their high rating on Angie's List. The owner, instead of just booking my repair job, took the time to explain about the training and qualifications of his employees, their use of fixed pricing instead of hourly wages, and his company's philosophies. I was very impressed that he not only took the time to find out in detail what I needed and where I'd heard about his company, but that he informed me of their background and policies as well. A few days later, Sam came out and examined the bathroom, finding out what was needed and crawling under the house to examine the crawlspaces above and beneath the bathroom to see how the wires and exhaust pipes needed to be run. He sat down with me and again explained the fixed pricing policy, and went over multiple alternatives for solving the problems, explaining the pros and cons of each. I selected what I wanted done, and was given an invoice, of which I paid half so the necessary materials could be purchased. He returned a few days later, wearing disposable shoe covers each time he entered the house, and laying down protective tarps in the bathroom. He completed the work and left no trace behind. I need major renovations as a result of tornado damage, and I will be giving all the electrical work to Clover!

Great experience. Project was completed on time and within budget. No surpises. Technician was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

They did a great job. I liked everything about them. He came in first and told me what he was going to do. I told him what we wanted. Then he went back out to the truck and did the calculation of what the bill would be. He came and told me. Then, we let him go ahead with the work. It was great.

Mike Talty is a true pro. He explained about his company and what he was going to do.

After a big snow storm our lights went out. It looks like we blew a fuse as well. He came out, moved the plug to make it easy for me to reach and checked all the power lines through out the house. Also, he was very professional and extremely punctual. And he honored our Angie's List discount, saving us over $35. Overall, we thought he was very nice and did great work.

Tom provided an accurate estimate and the work was done in a timely fashion. There were a couple of unexpected delays when Tom needed to pull his electrician off my job to work on some emergency outages during an ice storm, but it did not impact the quality of the job. I was so please with the work that I'm having Clover install a backup generator for my house, and they will be completely rewiring the house during the remodeling project. I highly recommend them.

It all went well. The technicians were very knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. I am glad that I found them.

Seem to take longer than expected but kept working and finished in one extended day.

This is the second time I have used them and if I had any problems with them, I wouldn?t have used them again. They come when they say they are coming. They spend time on the phone explaining some things. They seem to be good and the electrician seems to be okay so far. They are expensive, but I negotiated and it turned out okay. While they were here, I asked them to do some work in the gutter and they were pretty accommodating. They are pretty handy too and each time I call someone they charge me $60 to $80 just to come out. If someone is getting more than one work done it?s useful. They change their pricing and that was the problem I had with them. I was asking for the same thing that they did last year and they were not giving me an estimate this year. This is the pricing difference I found with them. The estimate that they gave me was double that of last year. When I spoke to them about it, they said that they had one price for everything and they came back with some reason saying it includes all that. I don?t fool around with electrical. I want someone who knows what they are doing and I am willing to pay a little extra. As far as I know everything is fine. The passage in the front has two switches and he was about to do something with one and I didn?t like the idea of replacing it, so asked him to do something different which he did. Their responsiveness is fine. I would use their services in the future. They are reasonable. The work they did was worth my money. They were rated the highest on Angie?s List. When I asked them if they knew the company that I had before them they said, that was a very good company and in fact they tried getting the client?s list and they said that they may be coming back. They were pretty open. They didn?t have to tell me that because by telling me that I can keep looking for the other company?s name to show up. It was not a protective thing to say. It was very nice thing about Clover Electric. I talk to one of the head people when I have few questions about things and they spend a lot of time with me.

He did a fantastic job. It was very professional. they cleaned up after themselves. They told us everything they were doing.

He came out for a consultation and came out on time. We didn?t have him do any work. He was really nice and gave us some advice on things to do. He was just great and didn?t charge us at all. I would definitely recommend Clover Electric.

They did a very good job. They were very professional. The only reservation I had was the cost. They had good customer service. The quality of their work was great.

Sam was on time, courteous, wore his slipper thingies over his shoes, cleaned up the mess completely when he was done, didn't give up until he solved the various problems. He walked around for 1/2 hour to see the situation before giving me an estimate. The estimate was firm and final ... so what he told me it would cost ... was exactly what it cost. He estimated 3 hours of work and that is what I paid for ... but he was in my house well over 5 hours.

Mike was very efficient. He arrived at the time he said he would. I have a handyman who works outdoors/basement and never takes off his shoes or puts covers on in house. Mike put shoe covers on. Re: Price. I did not get another company to compare price. I hope what I paid was a good price. My only negative comment is that they charge a $79.00 service fee to come to the house. Since I had the work done, I wish they would deduct part of the service fee from total charges. However, I did print out (Clover Elec. com) a $20 discount fee, which helped lower the total.

Overall it was good. The work was done competently. They were easy to talk to over the telephone. There was a little bit of a discrepancy in the work done and the price we payed. It wasn't major and it did not detract from the satisfaction of the job.

They are very prompt and courteous. The cost for each specific job is different.

PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME, DELIVERED WHAT THEY PROMISED. FOLLOWED UP TWICE AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE, AND SAID WOULD FOLLOW UP AGAIN AFTER SNOW FALLS TO BE SURE IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY.

I DON''T REALLY KNOW WHAT ELECTRICAL WORK COSTS. THEY SEEMED EXPENSIVE TO ME.
