NJW Construction

NJW worked with us to layout a design and assess the usability/functionality of the design. NJW then worked with the building department and inspectors to assure all details conformed to building code. When issues arose, NJW worked out appropriate solutions with the building department. NJW Construction used a combination of NJW staff and subcontractors to complete the project. A site foreman with NJW oversaw all the work and assured that work was started on time and was being done properly. The foreman provided us daily updates on what was happening and what was next. NJW Construction and its subcontractors showed up on time and worked a full day or until the planned work was completed. All workers on the project were friendly, professional, hardworking and willing to answer any questions we had. Finally, all areas of construction exceeded our expectations in quality and workmanship. I thank Joel, Aaron and the rest of the workers on the project for the fine job they did. On many of the design decisions, I relied on the expertise of Joel and Aaron, and I was never disappointed. I would definitely use NJW Construction again.

I was happy with all the work. Any questions I had were answered. Supervisor was on sight when all the work as being done.

Joel, the owner I think, works closely with his clients. There's a good presentation, but you never know if the flash will live up to the performance. Kenny was the job boss (I guess that's what he is). Everyone showed up on time, worked hard, was accommodating.. There was no juggling different jobs. Pros were brought in for the cold air return. In fact, no problems from beginning to end. My only disappointment was that I had hoped Joel would drop by to look at the room when it was finally finished. understandably, he was off on other jobs. The biggest plus working with these guys: They show up on time and work on a schedule. Now, three plus years later, everyone is happy, no complaints. Not only that, when I needed some gutter work and siding work done just recently (see my other review) I called on these guys. Glad I did. You will be too.

The work went great! Couldn't ask for better. Joel set a work start date. About the time of the storms that may have been associated with Sandy. He was half a day late. They set up on a Thursday. On Friday they had a full crew at work. By Monday they were finishing up. Now, the best part of this job is that I knew about the rot on the top of the second floor deck's half-wall. I asked Kenny to look into it. Sometime over the weekend, Joel calls to say that the gutter work did not require some materials he had put into the bid, that if I wanted to replace the siding on the other side where it was rotten, it would be a wash, and he could do it without changing the costs. So, Monday I got new siding on the east side of my breakfast room. So, while 13K is a lot to spend, I figure I got a good deal from a company I trust: they fixed the box gutters front and west, replaced siding and gutter work on the west side of the breakfast room, and then, because the gutters had not presented problems they expected, the siding on the east side of the breakfast room was replaced as well. Do I need to say that they used Tyvek house wrap? Obviously, I think these guys are great.

They did a great job. I always call them whenever service is needed. They provide large and small jobs. They are very responsive and have good availability. The owner and his employees are extremely easy to work with and are very good about explaining what needs to be done.

It turned out very well. Joel had to write up the specs for the job to give my condo association. Joel was very good with everything.

The service was satisfactory. They did use younger guys to put on the roof and I would have preferred older gentleman to do the job. A supervisor did come and check up on them.

It turned out fantastic. The service was really exceptional. The project won a national award and the designer who was in charge of the project was excellent. He is no longer with the company and for that reason we would check out this company and others for future projects. The work 5 years later is still great. We have had a couple issues in that time and they have been great about coming out and repairing anything needed. Overall the experience was excellent.

I recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for light construction tasks. Don't remember the cost. It was, however, reasonable.

I have used this company 2-3 times. They did a good job over all. They came back when I called back. There were a couple of things that I had questions about and they said that they will look at it. There was a problem with one nail which they could not handle right then, but they came back to fix it the very next day. The pricing was very good. They did some extra stuff in terms of the quality. They got in touch very quickly, but then due to the weather and so forth, they came three or four weeks later because they had other work lined up, but they called and said when they would be coming. I had a couple of questions and they came right back. They were professional; there still were a couple of nails in the yard, which I don’t think they could get off, but I am still happy with the service.

They did an excellent job. The quality of work was great. They people that came were professional and courteous. We could always get a hold of the owner if we had any questions.

The remodeling experience with NJW was outstanding. Joel provided us with a timeline that stated when the work would begin, listed each stage of the construction, and an estimated completion date. Once the construction began his crew was there every day working on our kitchen and bathroom. They arrived on time and completed each stage of our kitchen and other work as stated in the timeline. The guys in his crew were so polite and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the completed work. The subcontractors he hired to complete the electrical, plumbing and flooring were also great. The materials they used for our kitchen and bath remodel were quality materials and we are so pleased with the results of their work. We were completely satisfied with all of their work and would highly recommend them to other people looking for a company to do remodeling. We would definitely hire them again!

Condo association would not approve the modification. I would not have hesitated to use NJW for this project as I have used them before (they were stellar) and the estimate was fair and broght the project completely up to code.

They were really good. The price was reasonable. He was really good on his communication. They followed up.

We've used them quite a few times and we like them a bunch. They have done great work for us. They did it quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. We would recommend them to anyone and I have recommended him to a friend that was also very pleased with them. They do a great job. Their prices are reasonable and at least comparable with anything that I have seen locally.

He was fine but his quote was a little high. We went with someone else. We ran across him at the Home and Garden Show in Columbus Ohio. He was very professional but it was not a fit for us. We had no problems with NJW Construction.

They came out and gave me an estimate but I decided not to go with it because of my finances. They were great and extremely nice. They were very businesslike and I felt very comfortable. I definitely would have gone with them.

The experience went wonderful. They were great. They did everything they said they would do. They were here everyday on time. They completed the project right when they said they would. I have no complaints with them. I would hire them again for another project. They really want to make sure the customer is satisfied with the job. They go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with the finished project. They weren't the lowest price but they also weren't the highest.

There were timely in their response to the bid request. The owner of the company conducted himself in a professional manner when we had meetings to discuss the bid. They were thorough in their explanation of the bid. They were good and professional. The bid was reasonable too. However, we did not use them as we elected to go with another company that had more experience in renovation of older homes.

I had used their services in the past too. There were 2 different bids that the person who came out gave me. He was thinking of getting the work done in different ways. They had to do all kinds of other stuff too along with the window. He is prompt and professional. He gives the right quotes for what you are looking for. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

He was really good and he did a fabulous job. We live in a very old house and the kitchen was really in need of repairs. The kitchen had a tallow window which wouldn?t last forever. When he started this work he realized that he had to excavate the whole kitchen. That was not a part of his estimate. He did the job and he was beyond my expectations. He did the work in the kitchen and the family room. He did a really good job. After that we called him when even there was a problem and he fixed it. His estimate was the lowest. We looked at many contractors and he had the best price. Our architect recommended him to us.

We liked Joel and would have been happy to use him - it was a room addition of 500 sq feet and the estimate was around $129,000.
