Plumbing One

I was very impressed with the whole process!! Between the time I called and the time Jess was finished, I think it took less than four hours. Both he and Paul were respectful and professional. I was very happy with the price he charged, and I would recommend them to friends with no hesitation‼️‼️

After having another large plumbing company come out, wrung their hands and charged quite a bit for very little result we called Plumbing One. They let me text them a picture and the supervisor Paul reviewed the job and discussed it with me. He claims 29 years of experience and was appropriately cautious about promising too much over the phone but clearly had done this type of installation before. They scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me and arrived well in the time window after calling early to let us know their accurate arrival time. They knocked the job out in a professional manner and problem solved a fit issue that was not their fault. We are please to have the shower back in service.

Was given a window of 4:00 - 6:00. Tech showed up around 4:15. Declared the aerator tank was full and needed pumped and there was nothing he could do. Told me to get it pumped and if there was still a problem to call them back. Charged me a very reasonable $25 house visit fee and left. I called Chucks Septic Tank Service and scheduled their first available opportunity to pump the tank. Had to wait 2 days but was first on the list. When Chucks operator showed up he immediately identified the tank was not full, the contents were below the tank inlet, therefore the backup could not be caused by the tank being full. And, true to his statement after the tank had been pumped the blockage was still complete. My ratings F on quality for the poor diagnosis of the problem leading me to have a tank pumped that could have gone another year before I had it done. D for professionalism, if he had looked a little closer in the tank he would have seen that the contents were below the inlet pipe (If I had known to look I would have saved myself a lot of grief). Had the tech done more than make a snap diagnosis of the problem he could have snaked the line from the tank toward the house. He could have cleared the line in short order and had a happy customer. In fact he did a quick rush diagnosis that got him out faster, but cost me 2 days without functioning drains.

I was replacing the sump pump every few years and Paul's detective work to find (and then correct) the underlying cause of our latest untimely sump pump failure made all the difference. I called Plumbing One because their Angie's List reviews showed multiple small jobs with A ratings and I am glad I called them. This is the third time I would be replacing the sump pump with the last time being about 2-3 years ago. Paul discovered what the other plumbers didn't. The plastic well containing the sump pump had 2 entrance pipes with large empty spaces allowing small rocks and extra dirt to come into the sump well. But even bigger than that, there is a 4" HOLE in the bottom of the well. It must have been there since our 14-year old house was constructed, so not only were pebbles coming into the well from near the pipes, but the pump was sucking dirt and occasional rocks from the ground below it. Paul cut out the bottom of a Home Depot 5-gallon bucket and covered up the hole. The heavy weight of the pump is enough to hold down the bucket bottom and it's protected from continually sucking rocks. Paul offered to also fix the gaps between the pipes and the sump pump well but when I asked, he said that it was something that I could do with waterproof door sealant foam from the hardware store. I'm going to try that because even someone like me who isn't mechanical could probably handle it. So, Paul was able to resolve BOTH problems causing the sump pump damage at an attractive overall price. Pricing was in ballpark of other service providers on Angie's List that offered sump pump replacement specials, AND I got the 5% Angies' List discount that made it even less expensive. A definite "thumbs-up" and I have added Plumbing One's phone number to my address book!

I first made contact by phone and scheduled the appointment. The conversation was very professional and quite enjoyable (as I am a recent transplant from the East Coast, that is not a normal occurence for me). The plumber, Paul, showed up exactly on time...was extremely polite, professional and very knowledgeable (after all he's been in the business for 27 years and still enjoys his work). He worked quickly and efficient, and the end result was perfect. In addition, Paul cleaned up after himself so that no one could tell anyone had been in the house...honestly, this was very impressive. I am delighted to find a plumbing company such as Plumbing One...especially being new to Columbus and trying to find the right service professionals.

Company was great to work with. They were quick to respond, able to answer questions over the phone, and were in and out of the job in no time. Very professional. I would use them again.

Jesse was very professional. We called on Sunday afternoon because my husband couldn't unclog our kitchen sink. Jesse called back right away and said he could be at our house within the hour. He arrived exactly an hour later! He was courteous as he performed the work and suggested we not put cabbage down the disposal again. He was done quickly. I'm not sure if the cost was in line with other plumbers, as this was the first time I've ever had to call a plumber. I was just grateful that he waived the trip fee and came out to help on a Sunday late afternoon.

Jess at Plumbing One came out the day that I called to give me an estimate. He arrived within the two hour appointment window. Initially Jess said he did not believe they could do the work but he took photos and sent them to his supervisor and called him to discuss. The supervisor said they could do the work and I was given an estimate which was less than I received from another company. The service appointment was set for two days later. Arrival was scheduled for a two hour block between 8:00-10:00 and arrival was at 11:38; with a call along the way to say they were running late. They drained and removed my water heater in order to reach the plumbing; ran a line through my wall from the furnace, and reinstalled the water heater. Jess worked on this about 4 hours and his supervisor worked with him on this about half that time (supervisor was sitting out in truck some and left for about an hour). I would use this company again. My initial meeting with Jess left me uncomfortable because he didn't really seem to understand some aspects of the project (running the line through 4 feet of wall). But cost was a huge factor for me so I took a risk with Plumbing One as the lower estimate and based on Angies' List reviews. Jess did a good job with his part of the project (water heater and new drain pipe) and I would definitely recommend him as a technician for plumbing needs. The only part I'd say was less than I expected was the way the supervisor handled running the line through the wall. He didn't seem to have the correct tools. The drill bit he brought was too short to drill through a wall stud leaving a rough job and I have a larger hole in the drywall than I would have expected. For plumbing definitely an "A" rating, but if your project involves a wall you might consider having the general contractor-handyman who is going to do the drywall repairs later also make the cuts on the front-end.

Real early in the morning, was told I would get a call back to schedule. Then an hour or so of waiting, I called back again. The person assured the plumber would call after I got off the phone. Then I never heard from him and hired another plumbing.

Technicians were on time and courteous, but beware of price gouging. I understand that plumbing repairs can be costly, but $167.00 for less than 30 minutes of work seems excessive to me. Especially since I was told at the time I made the appointment that the cost for diagnoses and for one hour's worth of work would be $95.00. According to the invoice, the total cost did not even include any parts, which makes the price even more suspicious.

I was impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of this HVAC technician when he called me back, but I had already made arrangements for someone else to come out and fix my thermostat. I felt a little bad about it because he did call me back within an hour, and I don't think one can expect much more responsiveness than that. While I don't have experience with their work, I have no reason not to give them a chance the next time.

After our morning showers, we had water leaking from our upstairs bathroom into our downstair laundry room. We called and he was able to be at our house within a couple of hours. The man was polite, and did a great job in less than an hour. We will be back for our future plumbing needs.

I have a basement floor drain that was for the laundry when it was in the basement. Over the years, I've periodically had small trickles of water come thru the basement wall/floor joints. I noticed that the floor drain was slowing and this spring, with all the rain we had in June, I had 5" of water in the basement and the drain stopped working all together. I got several estimates and while Plumbing One wasn't the cheapest, it was the most comprehensive and covered all of the work I requested. The work involved removing the concrete floor, digging down 18-24", and removing the old clay drain tiles. When the reached the area where the basement floor drain connected to the plumbing stack from the upstairs, the found the old pipes cracked and leaking. This resulted in a change in the total cost and more repairs. The team of 3 arrived on time. They worked all day and stayed until after 6:30 pm to make sure that my facilities worked before they left for the day. The first day, they removed all of the clay tiles, replaced the entire 25 feet with PVC and added a backwater valve that I had requested. Day 2, they arrived and leveled the entire line and readied it for inspection. Because I had some family plans on Thursday, they worked with me to return on Friday to fill in the trench and re-cement the basement floor. They returned again on Monday morning, after the floor cement set up, to cut off the drain stacks to floor level. They entire team was courteous, professional, respectful, and cleaned up every day before they left. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs when you want the job done right the first time.

Very quick response. Spoke with them mid morning and the job was completed by early afternoon. Extremely nice as well as professional. I am an out of state landlord and really appreciate finding someone who I can trust and who does outstanding work. You will not go wrong hiring this company. I will be using their services again in the very near future for a second property that I also own. Thank you Jesse for a job well done!!!!! .

I scheduled a week in advance and was able to secure the service for the exact date/time I needed. Jessie called me 30 minutes in advance of arriving and was right on time with the schedule I'd requested. He was exceptionally kind and professional and fully met my expectations for replacing the pipe in a tricky area of my historic home. He cleaned up the work area nicely (which was no small feat given he had to chisel out piece of a brick wall!) and had things all put back together in short order. I was thrilled with both the work and the price - will absolutely call on them again in the future for other plumbing needs.

It went very well. They were to arrive between 8 and 9. They called about 7:45 and were at my home by 8. Because my home sits back from the street approx. 300 feet, the first plumber didn't have long enough equipment to work on the problem. He contacted the office and they sent another team out within a couple of hours. They explained what they were going to do, shared their findings and performed the work very quickly and professionally.

Jesse with Plumbing One called to let me know what time to expect him. I appreciated the notification. He arrived on time and was easy to get along with and answered all my questions. He delivered the State water heater I wanted after installation went over the controls with me and cleaned everything up like he was never there. I have no complaints and would recommend their services. Plumbing One did honor the Angie's List discount too! Thanks Jesse.

Our basement CO detector sounded on a Sunday morning. The fire department came out and deduced it was probably the hot water tank. The fire department shut off the tank and aired out the home to the point where the CO detector could be re installed without sounding. About four hours later, the CO detector sounded again. This time, the CO reading was linked to a sump pump back up battery that was overcharging, letting off a gas that mimicked CO, thus resulting in the alarm. The fire department recommended having the tank checked any way for safety. Since the tank is 13 years old, and a little small for our needs, we considered replacing it. I did some research on Monday for a new tank, and Pro One was one of the companies I called. I found the gentleman, John, with whom I spoke to be very helpful and pleasant . On Tuesday, I called John again and explained our situation. He arranged to have Chris come out within only a few hours to turn our tank back on and check for CO and other potential gas leaks. Fortunately, everything checked out fine. Chris was very professional, courteous, and helpful. He thoughtfully answered all my questions and educated me on additional aspects of tank selection and installation as we consider replacing the current tank. This was my first experience with this company, and based on it, I would recommend Pro One.

I had spoken to John, a co-owner with Plumbing One. I was anxious to have the work done due to the fact the unit was leaking excessively. John coordinated having a Technician show up at my home the same day to assess the problem and also obtain the needed parts. The work was done in a professional manner at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Plumbing One for your plumbing needs.

I called John up and told him that I was trying to save money and that a buddy of mine would install a flood overflow valve in basement instead of using John ( Plumbing One). Big Mistake on my part!!!! Long story short my buddy drop 2 flood valve into my drain and I called John and he told me that he would come down himself to take care of it. 1st off mine you he's the owner and taking his time out to come down and take care of a problem that I cause which John was nice enough to volunteer to help out. John came down and fix all of my plumbing problems with the help of Paul which he called later on because he needed a certain tool that he didn't have in hand. Bottom line John have me as a client forever with his honesty and sincerely wanted to take care of his clients. John is a true owner he's passionate,very knowledgeable,personable, have pride in his work and works with integrity. He's a rare find. I've gone thru so many plumbing company and not once have I stay loyal. This is my 2nd time using Plumbing One and will be until I need plumbing service. I trust them and feel very confident with their work. I am telling everyone I know about John & my experience with what he did. Thank you so much John for taking your time to meet with me on after hours. I will be calling you guys soon for my sewage pipe service. I am going on Yelp,Google,four square,etc.....to post my positive feedback for Plumbing One. Business like this should be heard loud and clear....!!!!

Jessie, was very polite and respectful of our house by taking his shoes off. He came in open up our shower knob and was looking to see what he needed for parts wise. Then he left for about 45 mins to pick up a part that we didn't have to order which is a relief. He then installed it and our shower was working perfectly fine. He even give us tips on how to prevent leakage and such. Will I hire Plumbing One again? Of course I will. Thank you Jessie.
