I am VERY PICKY about how trim is painted, and I was very impressed and pleased with the work. The rooms turned out gorgeous. I was also very opinionated about how I wanted him to use an oil-based primer and he didn't give me any trouble on that, which I appreciated. I hired him at the rate of $400 for him and his assitant to work an 8 hour day. They worked slightly irregular hours, more on some days and less on some days, but I believe that overall they worked a little over the hours they billed me for without trying to charge me more. His assistant was female, and I was very comfortable having them in my home and around my children. They played their radio rather loud, but were very neat and courteous and professional. I will definitely hire him again! The first two days they arrived on time. After they they arrived late by an hour or so. It didn't bother me, since they worked late and more than made up the hours, but it might bother other people.

The work turned out fine. I appreciated that he was flexible enough to come out for a little touch up work.

Jeremy came to our house, reviewed our work and gave us a bid. He painted 3 rooms and all the work was done in a day. They did a great job and we are very satisfied with his quality, speed and professionalism. They were very good painters. I hope to get a bid from him to complete the exterior paint on house house this spring.

The work for which we paid $399 via Angie's List's Big Deal has never been completed.

I used Jeremy as a result of an Angie's list special. I called Jeremy after the coupon and he came out to take a look at the house and confirmed the estimate. I was wanting to have just the painted areas of my house repainted. I explained to Jeremy my concern about not doing the painting while the awnings were up on the house so that eliminated the May thru September period. Jeremy called in May to check on the status of the awnings and unfortunately they had just been installed for the season so we discussed having the painting done in October. Jeremy's crew was professional , neat , quiet, efficient and overall I was quite pleased with the results. The only suggestion that I would make to Jeremy would be to pay more attention to the painted areas that required some caulking as I am spending this weekend taking care of this issue.

He did an okay job. I was satisfied.

Don't trust the contractor's in the Angies's Specials

Price was excellent. It was a couple that was very nice. They were clean and moved items if need be. As a house painter myself they did not live up to my expectations. When I used to paint homes I would cover up the brush stokes with a roller. That is being nit picky though buttheir work was good and I am very pleased. I would recommended them.

I was a little disappointed at the their preparation work. There were parts where the power washing was too powerful and ate away some of the wood on the trim. The painting overall was satisfactory, but the cleaning and prep. were sub-standard. They damaged some of damage to my trim, which I had to have fixed by another company.

The contractor still has not satisfied the big deal that we purchased, and has not returned our phone messages, emails, or though the Angies List contact method. We are completely dissatisfied with this contractor. Additionally, when this contractor first came out to look at our house during the month of May to look at our house, he said there would be an additional charge of $700.00 in order to paint our house because of how much was required. The "Big Deal" is now going to expire on October 19, 2012, which is just a little over a month away, and we still do not have anything scheduled.

They did a very good job and I will recommend them to others. Our house was built in 1921 so it needed quite a lot of work to make it look good as new. They even performed some minor repair work. Very professional workers and they stayed on the job until completed.

I was very pleased with the work overall. They started with the power washing of the siding and then painted the trim. All work was done well. I gave a "B" for professionalism because drink cups and Gatorade bottles were left behind which attracted ants. Regardless, overall, we were very satisfied with the work and the Angie's List Deal price was unbeatable.

Update: I left a voicmail msg initially and then sent an email through Angie's List's website. If the contact information on Angie's List is correct, then, Yes, I had the correct number and email. I'll try again. I tried contacting the company to use my Angie's List Big Deal, but never got a response. I spent the money on the deal, but it expired and I'm not sure what to do.

They did an okay job. I did have to pay extra money after I purchased the deal. I felt like they expected me to pay more even though I had purchased the deal to have the service performed.

Wonderful job on power-washing, painting interior and exterior

They were an hour and a half late to come and give us an estimate. He acted like he didn't really want to do the job. He was supposed to e-mail the estimate to us and it's now been two weeks and we haven't heard back from him.

I had no luck getting him to commit to a firm date when he would do the painting. He was pleasant enough n the phone, but he just cannot commit. I have called him a couple of times. It sounded like he was trying to loose me. I asked for some reference from him directly, but he never gave them to me.

They have a fair price with great work. They are both punctual and polite.

Jeremy came out and gave us an estimate, which was far better than any of the others we had received. We had used him for a grout repair job in our kitchen, and were very happy with the job. Jeremy and his two crew members arrived on Monday to start the job at 9:30 AM. They worked during the days until the job was completely finished on Friday morning. They removed all 14 interior doors and worked on them in the garage. They primed and painted all of our trim and all 14 doors over the course of the 5 days. They replaced all of the hinges (from brass to nickel) and put all doors back on. The work was done perfectly, and we are very happy with the job! We will absolutely use Jeremy Agnew Custom Painting for future jobs.

I purchased the 2-painters for a day Big Deal coupon to have my family room painted. When Jeremy came out to preview the room, I asked him to also paint a bedroom and a small bathroom. He indicated that it would probably take a day and a half to complete everything and quoted me a very reasonable price to do the extra work. He and his associate arrived as scheduled and got right to work on the family room. However, he made the decision to complete the bedroom and bathroom the same day which meant he did a lot of painting after the sun set. I believe the quality of the work in the small bathroom suffered as a result and am not sure that two coats of paint were put on the ceiling or the walls. When he had finished for the day I asked him to stop back and prepare a bid to paint the garage and house trim when the winter weather broke. I have not heard from him since he completed the interior work. To be fair to Jeremy, I did not notify him of my concern with the interior painting.

He is the best painter I have ever delt with. I had a great experience with him. They did a really good job. He always worked with me in order to schedule a time to come out and do the work. They just did a wonderful job.

Last year we bought a big deal for $399 for ?2 Interior or Exterior Painters for a Day? with Jeremy Agnew Custom Painting and finally scheduled the work for April 10, 2012. Unfortunately, my wife and I feel that the service provided was not up to the quality we would expect from any contractor, let alone a Super Service Award recipient who has received good reviews in the past. We were surprised that the painters arrived around 10:00 am and left around 2:00 pm, when the deal was for 2 painters for a day. Although we were pleased that they were able to complete the painting of 4 bathrooms in one day (we didn?t honestly know how much to expect a standard paint contractor to accomplish in one day), Jeremy did not ask my wife to walk through and inspect the work or any cleanup efforts. One of our bathrooms has a door to the garage that was the same color as the bathroom, but it was not painted. When my wife asked why the door was not painted, Jeremy said, ?yeah, I wondered whether we should have painted that, but there?s a half gallon of paint left and your husband can quickly paint it.? It was surprising to us that a super service award recipient wouldn?t have immediately resolved the situation by painting the door before he left!! He had only spent 4 hours at our home! Also, we were quite surprised by the lack of clean up. There was drywall spackle dust all over all of the bathrooms, requiring us to thoroughly clean each bathroom before we could shower the next morning, or the humidity in the air would turn the dust into sludge. There were chunks of dried paint and spackle in our shower basins and in the toilet tanks. We needed to carefully clean this out, as we have a septic system and leach field whose perforated pipes could become clogged with solid material of any size. Since the painting itself only took four hours, we were surprised that more time wasn?t put into cleaning up after the job. The painting job itself was acceptable, but I certainly wouldn?t classify it as high quality. The cut in lines around the ceiling were not crisp and straight. There was paint drips on one of the window screens and one of the light fixtures. The drywall patch work was not as smooth as I could do myself. My wife spoke with Jeremy the day after the job, as we believe that a service provider cannot correct a problem they do not know about, and we'd hoped our feedback could provide learning and motivation for a better experience for the next customer. My wife was very surprised how disinterested Jeremy seemed to be that we were dissatisfied with the job as a whole. He claimed that he cleaned up after the job, but since he didn't have a vacuum cleaner, he apologized for what he called "a little bit of dust." But he never asked us if we had a vacuum cleaner he could use (we obviously do!) and claimed the 3 painters for 4 hours is the same as two painters for a day. We would not be too concerned that 3 painters multiplied by 4 hours is only 12 hours compared to 2 painters for 8 hours is 16 hours, had he actually painted the door in the one bathroom. We were glad that he actually finished four bathrooms in one day, but we couldn't understand why he would leave the job early when he knew that we wanted the door painted as there was time left over!! The lack of cleanup was the other issue. We used another paint contractor last summer for exterior painting (after we had purchased, but not yet scheduled this big deal) and were absolutely thrilled with every aspect, including cleanup, so we don't think we had unreasonable expectations when it came to the way our rooms were left for us to perform a thorough cleaning.
