I saw a deal for $99 dollars for 500sqft of R-19 insulation installed. This was just a sales tactic and they clearly could not do that job for $99 dollars, they had to sell something else to make it worthwhile. I wouldn't recommend this deal to others because it will put you and them in an awkward position -- they need to sell you something to make it worth their while (and they make that clear), and you get pressured to buy more than you may want. They quoted a price to do some additional work and I accepted, but then when it came time to pay they did not subtract the $99 I already paid. They also showed up unannounced to do work.

See above - no work performed because vendor said they didn't think it would be beneficial.

This was a Angie's List special purchase for 2 hours of time for a fix fee. This is a small business and because of the high number of purchases for the special, it took several weeks for the initial contact to happen. Plus I had to make the initial contact. Project took a couple ow weeks from date of on site evaluation to the completion of the project, again do to the volume of "special" sales. 2 of the 3 issues it is hard for me to tell if they were completed correctly since they were roof/gutter related. I have to assume these were completed. The siding issue was completed successfully.

Did not show up at the appointment time. Did make another appointment and he showed up.

Good advice given. Didn't try to steer me toward work not needed.

Very well. Joe took the time to communicate his intentions and action plan and followed through even when his helper was out on medical leave unexpectedly (injured himself the week prior to my job). Joe also took the time to disassemble and remove an old rocking horse he found in my attic! Great amazing service! Explained everything and answered all my questions. Hope I get to work with him again in the future sometime. I will recommend him to my friends.

Pictures were provided to show new flashing as well as several minor repairs made to roofing. Repair person explained thoroughly what he found and what repairs he made. Will consider this company when replacing roof.

Called them up, he was very nice on the phone. He explained what could have caused the siding to pop out. We set up a appointment for Friday around 2:00. 1:15 on Friday he called asked if he could reschedule because he had to do something with one of his vendors. That was fine with me. We rescheduled for Monday around 2:00. He didn't call or show up on Monday. I sent a email on Tuesday, there was no response to the email. Admittedly my job wasn't a big job. 1-2 pieces of siding out of place, and they are at the highest part of the house in back. However I believe small jobs done right lead to bigger jobs, or more recommendations. Indifference leads to companies going out of business, then crying how bad the economy is.

The project went great. Guys were profession and courteous. Left my house cleaner than it was when they got there.

The gentleman did come out and inspect things nothing got repaired he gave me and estimate of what it would cost to repair the damages and we had some communications and he was going to send people to do the work and I never heard from him again so they actually didn't do any work. well to follow through do what you said you are going to do and communicate with the home owner.

Daniel was professional, competent, encouraging. We have had no further contact at this time.

I purchased the 1-hour repair/maintenance coupon through the Angie's List website. The repair was not done well and the gutter is still drooping in the middle. I should have gone out and double checked the work before he left. While the quote to replace the gutters and roof was a good price, based on the quality of work, I am unsure if I would use them again.

Steve was prompt and very courteous, He quickly attached the loose fascia. I learned that his company does more than roof repairs and I will definitely consider Construct Ohio for my next project.

Very professional and thorough. After my initial dissatisfaction over them not showing up or calling, I received a call. He explained to me that they had someone out sick and the owner had to travel. He didn't have my phone number until I left a voicemail and he picked it up. At first, I told him to just cancel and refund the money. He said that he would be glad to do that, but would still like to come out to help me. I agreed and he was very thorough with work and everything was done to my satisfaction. I would use this company in the future because they made it right for me.

Sometimes the stars just line up in the right way. When we purchased this Construct Ohio deal for an hour of work for $39, we had no idea how bad the situation was with our bathroom vent. We'd had a vent cover and a guard installed twice in the past and both times the squirrels had managed to break through the cover and/or chew through the plastic guard (they would climb up our chimney to the garage roof to gain access to the vent). But this time, we'd purchased a metal guard which was chew-proof and needed it to be installed. Daniel Hickman of Construct Ohio is very thorough and knowledgeable and instead of just screwing the guard to the siding, he actually looked inside the vent area, took pictures, showed us the damage to the vent hose by the squirrels, who had managed to chew through it and gained access to the rafters. He cleaned out all the nesting material from the outside part of the vent assembly as well as from inside part in the bathroom. This debris had been blocking the exhaust fan vent from doing its job. He replaced the vent hose, secured it, installed the vent cover and guard, and cleaned up the work area of debris. This all took more than the initial hour we'd paid for, but Daniel stayed and finished the job with a smile. And we were only charged $125 for the extra hour + of time it took to make sure everything was cleaned out, replaced and working properly. Needless to say, we were very grateful and happy. We will definitely be using Daniel Hickman of Construct Ohio for future work. We are very thankful too that no squirrels were harmed in the repairing of our home. Loud banging on the bedroom walls always would scare them out and this day was no exception. Thanks again Daniel!

It went well. They came 2 weeks after I made the purchase. It would be better if they would have pictures of before and after. My gutters are so high.

UPDATE: If there was ever a perfect way to right a wrong, this company did it. After an unfortunate experience on their 1st try (see detail below), the owner (Rick) and my account rep (Dan) came back out to my home, completed the job and threw in some repairs for free. A+ for customer service! Very professional and apologetic for the bad experience. Will use them in the future because of their response to my initial displeasure. Can now recommend them with confidence. I have updated my ratings accordingly. INITIAL REVIEW: Cleaned gutters. They charge a nice, low fee to clean gutters so that they can get "in the door" and try to sell you other products/services like gutter guards or a new roof. And that's fine. Honestly, I had anticipated that. They were nice and professional the entire time. Dan Hickman was the project lead for my house and he was great. However, as soon as I said I wanted to wait a little on any further work, and simply wanted the gutters cleaned, they became somewhat unresponsive. It took over a month after the initial visit to finally get the work done. After a few no-shows, I might add. Then, once the work on the 1st story was "done" (they said they had to come back with a different ladder to do the 2nd story), I could still see piles of leaves sticking out in certain areas. All-in-all, job poorly done. Would not recommend.

All work and service was performed per the deal guidelines. Very courteous and responsive company/representatives!

We had a rainy May/June; so due to weather, there was a few days that they could not paint, but we knew when they were coming and leaving. They attended to details, communicated issues that we had such as dry rot and fixed the problems. They did a good job in cleaning up the area every work day that they were here and at the close of the job. The painters were polite, honest, and quiet. While I was gardening, I forgot they were there. Steve Dinkins was an excellent field manager. He is easy to work with and honest. He works with us. I trust him very much. I will go where he goes because I do trust him and I know he will be honest with me--that is something that is very hard to find.

Construct Ohio did a great job in a quick time. The quality of the work was excellent. They were able to complete the entire job in only a few days. They worked well with our insurance company to make sure everything was covered under our home owners insurance. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

We had sustained roof damage due to high winds & hail. I had been patching it up as best as I could but it became obvious that a replacement was going to be necessary. Rick was recommended to me by a friend as an excellent contractor who could give me an honest assessment if an insurance claim was reasonable. I was wary about making a claim if it wasn?t going to qualify for full replacement. I am also a die-hard DIY guy that has difficulty letting anyone do work for me. On top of that there was a particular part of the job that I had specific concerns & requirements for. Many contractors get weird if you start getting specific about how you want things done. Needless to say the whole thing made me nervous & I put off making the call for several months. When Rick came out he put me at ease immediately. We took a walk on the roof and I expressed my concerns. When I got specific the response was ?No Problem?. Rick believed that the damage was reasonable for a claim and the insurance adjuster ultimately agreed. When I had questions the responses were fast & on-point. Rick was personally involved throughout the process. The work crew completed the job in 1 day and did excellent work. At one point we found that the regular drip edge was not going to work out. Rick personally resolved the problem and came up with an excellent alternative which worked out perfectly. I am 100% satisfied with the work that was done & meeting Rick & his crew was a pleasure. Overall the biggest problem I had was trying to pick out a shingle color. Too many choices!
