On Monday, 8/19, we placed a call to American Home Shield (AHS) regarding a leak in our basement coming from the kitchen drain pipe located above it. In the early afternoon on Wednesday, 8/21, two technicians from Rescue Rooter came to look into the problem. They diagnosed that insufficient solvent cement had been applied and insufficient twisting of the fitting had occurred when the plumbing was originally done 29 years ago. They applied a healthy coating of solvent cement at the connection and told us not to use the drain for an hour to allow the cement to set. Thirty minutes later we heard it dripping in the basement again, despite the fact that the kitchen sink had not been used. We observed that the drip was coming from a crack in a pipe that was not where the Rescue Rooter technicians applied the solvent cement. The leak was now worse than it was originally. We immediately called Rescue Rooter, and they said that they would ask the technicians to return to our home later in the day. They did not do so. On Thursday, 8/22, we called Rescue Rooter again. They seemed surprised that we had not been visited by or had not heard from the original technicians. They assured us we would hear from them later that day. They did not do so. On Friday, 8/23, we called Rescue Rooter again. This time they told us that since the original call through AHS had been closed, we would have to contact AHS for them to return. We called AHS immediately, and they said that they would re-open the call with Rescue Rooter so that our leak could be addressed. We heard nothing from Rescue Rooter on Monday, 8/26. On Tuesday, 8/27, we called Rescue Rooter, and they told us that the technicians would be at our home between 1pm and 5pm on Wednesday, 8/28. On Wednesday, 8/28, Rescue Rooter called us at 2:52pm and said that the technicians were on their way to our home. When they had not arrived by 4:50pm, we called Rescue Rooter to ask when they would arrive. Rescue Rooter told us that AHS had cancelled the call. Really?! They happened to cancel the call between 2:52pm and the time they would have arrived? We called AHS at that point, who told us that they had not cancelled the call and asked if we would like them to send someone else to handle our issue. We jumped at the chance to have a knowledgeable and reliable technician attend to our problem. We were contacted by A Water Solutions early Thursday, 8/29, saying they would be here between 11am and 1pm. They called at 10:30am to say that Tim of A Water Solutions was on his way. He arrived right at 11am. He quickly diagnosed a crack in the drain pipe and informed us that he would have to purchase the necessary parts to fix the problem and get us scheduled. As this was just before Labor Day weekend, he said it would probably be done the next week. When he returned the next week, it took him less than an hour to fix our problem. We only wish that our first call had been serviced by Tim of A Water Solutions!

Most unprofessional company I have worked with through my home warranty protection. Would not use them again and would request a different company if they ever tried to assign A Water Solution to our home again. A Water Solution was originally assigned to our home by our warranty company (American Home Shield) to check our water heater that had an error message. They arrived on time but were unable to locate the issue on their own, my fiance ended up finding the issue himself. They fixed the problem (air in the gas line) and were on their way. Less than a week later our water heater had the same error message pop up. They were again assigned by our warranty company. They called the next day and said they would be able to come out from 10-12. They never arrived nor did they call to inform us they were unable to perform the tasks they believed we needed (pressure test) for our water heater. They called the warranty company who then emailed me to tell me a new company was assigned. I called the warranty company who informed me A Water Solution technician called them to say they needed the job transferred as they could not perform a pressure test for a gas water heater. I would have appreciated a call as well since I waited two hours for them to arrive and when I called their company line they did not answer.
Description of Work: Water heater had an error message and was no longer working. They came out to fix the water heater after assigned from AHS warranty. Less than a week later it was showing the error message again. They did not show up the second time when they said they would and asked our company to transfer the service to a new company without informing us.

About 3 years ago they replaced a Water Heater under American Home Shield (AHS) warranty. Last week it started to leak. I called AHS and they assigned it to Rotor Rooter to repair. They came out and saw that the tank was under warranty and that it would be less expensive if I just had the people that put it in take care of it. He called AHS and they reassigned it to A Water Solution (AWS). AWS came out and confirmed that it was under warranty and that they didi the work. They said they would replace it within the next 2 days. I then got a call from AWS saying that they no longer had a relationship with that manufacturer and that they were not going to do the work and had called AHS to reassign it someone else. The next company (Diamond Mechanical) came out. They said it did not make sense that AWS would not take care of the repair but that they would take care of me. Rotor Rooter gets an and quot;Aand quot;. Diamon Mechanical gets an and quot;Aand quot;. A Water Solution gets an and quot;Fand quot;.

He said that all service call is $120 and asked me to pay $100 which is my deductable. I used a different company for previous service call for home warranty. That person spent a lot more time fixing two toilets and charged only $65. Matt indicated that the other person from previous company should have charged $100 because my warranty requires me to pay $100 regardless of actual costs. I amnot sure if that is correct.
Description of Work: It was a part of home warranty. Matt came on time and reset the garbage disposal and tighten the my shower velve.

We were in the process of selling our home and one of the things that came up on the inspection was that the water heater valves may have been leaking. When Matt from A Water Solution came out to check, he found that, to the contrary they were in good shape. He put a statement on the invoice in that regard so I could give it to the buyer. He also did a good job of educating me on the valves, brass fittings, and what was what. The inspector should have known better but I appreciate the time Matt took on this call. Great service.

I had A Water Solutions come out to my house on 08/16/12 for a HOME WARRANTY Call from First American Home. The call was for 2 toilets that we were having problems with, low water pressure and then plumbing that was leaking due to a sink coming detached from the wall. Two men came to our house. One of the men hardly spoke a word and the other was completely rude and ignorant. He briefly looked at the sink with the leaking pipes, found other reasons to place blame on as to why we were having our problems, or in few words told us that our problems were not problems to begin with. He took the time to write out an invoice with what was discussed and gladly took our $60 service fee. My problem is that he knew while at our home that the warranty company would not cover our problems. However, he never once told us that. He lead us on by going over the details of what was discussed and saying that he was going to get back to us after submitting everything to the warranty company. That was the last we heard from him until we found out that the claim was denied from our warranty company. I called him on the phone to voice my frustration as to why he never told us that our problems would not be covered while he was at our home . He even admitted to me over the phone that he knew while at my home that they would not be covered. So why did he lead us on in our home rather than just being honest and saying that our problems were not covered?! I can understand paying a service fee when something is going to come out of it, but if he knew while at our home that the problems would not be covered, then he should of just told us and not charged us anything for just looking at our problems. I offered to split the $60 service fee with him to cover the gas it took him to drive to my house, but a full service fee charge cannot be justified for what little was accomplished by this company! When it comes down to it, he just was all about taking our money without doing anymore work then he had too. If you look this company up on City Search you will see numerous reports that he makes excuses as to why the problem exists that just so happen to void out any warranty and then will take you money. DO not trust them!!! Horrible company, rude contractor, makes his money dishonestly!!
Description of Work: Came out on a warranty call for plumbing/water issues. Did not perform any services.

Tony was professional and courteous. I have had three other plumbers look at my older one piece toliet to try and fix the flushing problem. Each one told me that it required a new part that was almost impossible to find and very costly. They recommended that I replace toliet. Tony was able to determine that it was a corrosion problem and was able to fix it without requiring a new part. I appreciate that Tony took the time to figure out a solution that was mush less costly and more convenient for me. I will definitely use this company again.

A Water Solution, Inc., was sent by our home warranty company and I was a little concerned as Angie's List had two negative reviews on them. They were prompt in assessing my problem, and as my schedule was a little tight, they worked around my time frame. I was very pleased with their punctuality, service, friendliness, and professionalism. And the technician left the work area cleaner than when he arrived! I would recommend this company to anyone needing a new hot water tank!

We used them because that is what our insurance paid. They charged a $60 service fee and it was paid for by home insurance. The quality of service was good and I was satisfied. Since I didn't have to pay anything really and it was just the service charge; I don't know what they charge. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of A Water Solution and the last time I used them was this week on Monday or Tuesday. A duct was blocked and they flushed something out. I don't know what they did exactly; but they did what they should do. They go it fixed and this was the first time I have used them.

This gentleman wanted to tell me it wasn't a plumbing leak; that it was condensation. He proceeded to insult my intelligence by explaining condensation; and that it could also be a roof issue. (The roof is the second floor, this is the first floor). He wasn't even going to cut through the ceiling. It seemed like he was ready to just finish up (this was the Friday before Memorial Day). He had also been sent in January; we had a toilet leaking at the base. He attempted to tell us this was just because my husband was sitting on the toilet.

I believe that the F ratings are right. I had this company come out 3 other times via my home warranty and they gave a different diagnosis outside of the warranty. I actually fell for it and paid $1300 to replace 2 toilets. This time I thought something was fishy so I called another company and they fixed the problem and I did not need to buy a new toilet again for $550. I even called the initial company that they should return the $60 since they were wrong and did nothing, but they would not. Just be careful and stay with the A listers.

The plumber from A Water Solution Company was really helpful in guiding me to buy the right kind of faucet. He also told me what brand and what type to look for. I bought the replacement faucet and they did a good job of installing it for me. I also had a sprayer that I never got to install. They offered to put it in which was like a mini upgrade for me. They were very responsive. They were very punctual. They were very kind. I would use them again in the future.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY..,. They were sent out by my warranty company to clear my sewer line. They lied to the warranty company by telling them there were roots in my line, so my claim was denied. I have had three other plumbers on site who have snaked the line for a total of 6 hours+ and none of the three found any evidence of roots. The line was full of sludge and needed to be jetted, which Waterworks did and resolved the problem. However now I have to battle with the Warranty company to get my bill reimbursed.

Horrible. A Water Solution was sent out by the First American Home Warranty (never use them either). When Don, from A Water, arrived onsite he refused to fix the pipe stating the area was inaccessible and that he was too big to fit into the area, and that they had no guys that could fit into the area. (Keep in mind I am 6'1" and 205 pounds and I fit into the area easily and Don is not as big as me according to A Waters receptionist. Don also told my tenant - he just didn't want to go back in there because it was gross). Anyway, my home warranty company wouldn't send out another contractor and they wanted to bill me $55.00 for A Water to show up onsite and do nothing. I ended up calling Waterworks. They were onsite within 30mins and fixed the problem within one hour. All that needed to be done was to glue the PVC pieces back together and this would have been avoided.

a) they made me wait 5 days to get my Water Heater working. b) they quoted me a price for the job that was all inclusive and then after waiting 4 days called me the night before to say it would cost $300 more. They should have called me back only one or two days later. c) they claimed that they would use a Premier Water Heater by State Industries and needed to order it. They switched it to a Powerflex Water Heater avail at Lowe's but never told me they were switching it. d) they charged me $100 to cut 3 inches off of a PVC pipe and called it a Flue modification. It took 2 minutes. e) they charged me $75 to put in a gas line modification supposedly to meet code. I already had a flexible gas line to the Water Heater with a shut off valve and do not believe it was necessary to add another connector. f) they stripped all of the copper tubing from the old Water Heater but did not ask for it.

They came in and spotted the leak. They cut the pipe, replaced a piece, welded it back and were out in an hour. I wasn't here while they were doing it but I did have a chance to speak to the repair person later and found him very helpful. They were professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I couldn't find where he had made the cuts. I called them to find out where the cuts were and they called me back later in the day to tell me where to find it. I finally found it and got some installation done around it.

Overall, I was happy with the initial visit. I am not so happy, now, because the problem does not seem to be what was determined from the visit. I am hoping Jason will call back, so we can get him back out to find out the real source of the leak.
Description of Work: This company contacted us after we called our home warranty company about water stains on our kitchen ceiling. A Water Solution called the very next morning and had many appointment days available for us. Jason, the service person that come over, was very nice and professional. He went through the usual process of trying to locate the source of the leak that other plumbers had done when we've had leaks in the past. He cut two small holes in the ceiling where the stains are and noticed that we had some cracked grout between some tiles in the shower above the kitchen that was being directly hit by the water from the shower head. So, he determined that the cracked grout was at least one source of the leak. Well, no leaking occurred while he was there, and I was quite happy that he actually found something that could explain the slow leaking we were having. Unfortunately, after he left and I went to work, water poured down from the ceiling and onto our kitchen floor. A lot of water. I called A Water Solution the next day to talk to Jason, but was told that he was not working that day. The person I spoke to took a message and assured me that he would call me first thing Monday morning. Well, he didn't. We called him at 3pm Monday and were told that he was already off for the day. We are still waiting to talk to him to find out what to do next, since there is no way some tiny cracks in the shower grout could result in 2 cups of water pouring down onto our kitchen floor.

The man that came out turned off the water. He said the issue would have to be fixed before the water could be turned back on. He said the price to fix it would be $520. I told him I would like a second opinion before I had the part fixed. He said it would be against the law to turn the water back on. I felt like he was intimidating me-I am a handicapped senior-into doing something immediately. I went to a hardware store and purchased everything that was needed for the repair for under $200 and I had another service provider come out to install everything for 1 hour's worth of labor. I would caution anyone who deals with this company. He didn't have to turn off all the water in the house. I learned later he could have turned off the water to just the bathtub.
