They were contacted through AHS A WATER SOLUTION, INC. I had multiple problems with the technician that was dispatched. 1. He was here for no more than ten minutes & proclaimed that my job was preexisting the date of my policy April & likely would be out of pocket. 2. He said the cost would be between $4,000-$5,000 out of pocket, without the flooring, concrete or drywall repairs. I told him that it only began leaking about a week ago & had a photo with the time stamp. 3. He said he'd have to rip out my drywall, all the new flooring & concrete. I said if that was the case that my homeowners would likely cover at least a part of this, he said no. I disagreed again on the date & what needed to be repaired. He was extremely short with me and rude the entire time, speaking to me like I knew nothing. He told me he wasn't going to debate or argue with me & just left. I then immediately contacted Roto Rooter for their free estimate. I figured they could tell me if they agreed with his assessment or if it was something else. They were here in less than twenty minutes. They addressed the problem immediately and it was as thought, it was the clean out cap that had corroded & needed replaced. They did the work for a total cost of $169.04. They also said that it wasn't leaking on the flooring until recently & it was only dripping on the surface, not from underneath, no buckling involved or other water damage as he was trying to state. He was aware that I'm in poor health on medications, oxygen ECT. He was using scare tactics and trying to take advantage of me. Even AHS recognized that something was wrong when he called in his report.

They were really unprofessional and no thorough. They were assigned to me by my home warranty company. They came out and took a look at a pipe which had disconnected and was leaking. Didn't take a thorough look at it nor fix it, submitted their paperwork wrong, and then when they finally submitted it, said it was a pre-existing issue, that there was a hole in the pipe, that my pipe was "used and abused-(What?!?!?) and quoted me $1800. Asked for a second opinion, and the other contractor fixed it in 15 minutes. Apparently they also recently pulled this on an old lady.

The plumber who came to help with our sump pump was polite, honest, professional, and timely. We were told by another plumbing company (Eco P) that we needed a new sump pump, but it turns out they lied to get more money. I called our home warranty (AHS) and they sent A Water Solution. Jesse very thoroughly tested it and it was working. So we only had to pay the $100 to AHS instead a thousand dollars which is what Eco P wanted to charge. I learned a lot too. The other company told me that the clear odorless water that came up from our drain was sewage. Turns out it was just rain water.
Description of Work: Sump Pump cleaning and test. Our sump pump had a ton of gravel, sediment, plastic, and tape in it. Several pounds of gravel to be exact. It was clear that our previous owners didn’t take good care of it.

Agree with all poor reviews below. I even read these poor reviews prior to having this company assess my issue through AHS. I cannot understand why AHS would continue to work with company based on these reviews and poor customer satisfaction. I received zero response for over a week. When I requested a follow up on my dispatch, it came through as a non-covered issue with inaccurate reporting. My issue was a leak in the interior of my home when turning on my outdoor hose spigot. The leak is in the ceiling of my sons closet, we moved the panel, he took a photo. And the report states non coverage due to freezing pipes on the "outside of the foundation." The pipe is in my son's bedroom ceiling. Definitely not freezing temperatures in his bedroom. Definitely not outside of my home's foundation. AHS offers a second opinion with ANOTHER $100 service fee if the findings are the same. Sounds like a racket to me. So far I have had zero return communication from A Water Solution when calling to ask for an explanation.

was assigned to A Water Solution through my home warranty company (American Home Shield). Although the tech who came to my home and diagnosed the problem was very polite and gave me information about my plumbing problem, the company has been a nightmare to work with. It took them nearly a week after the service call to submit the claim to the home warranty, despite daily calls to them asking them to submit. Once the claim was approved (with some additional costs that were not covered by the home warranty company that I would be responsible for), it took another 3 days for them to respond to my daily calls asking for an update. Then they claimed that the home warranty did not cover the claim at all, which was a lie. I reached back out to AHS and they said that the company declined the job due to the non-covered costs. When I asked for more information about the job and the coverage they did not respond. This company is not professional and does not complete any part of the process in a timely manner.

Owner of A Plumbing Solution, Inc., Canal Winchester Matt Earl arrived at the front door where my wife allowed him to enter. He rudely walked by her with no greeting and headed down to the basement. He approached the water heater and told my wife that the plumber installed insulation around the hot water exit pipe was a fire hazard and removed it without permission. He then looked at the water heater, turned the water heater thermostat dial from cold back to hot and immediately stated to my wife that the unit was working properly. When my wife responded that the water heater was obviously not working properly, he began to argue with and demean my wife. She felt sufficiently frightened by the rudeness, abrasiveness and apparent sexist attitude of Mr. Earl to nearly summon our large Rottweiler dog for protection. Mr. Earl then walked to the kitchen and turned on the hot water faucet in the kitchen sink. Upon feeling hot water, he again concluded that the hot water heater was working properly. When my wife again tried to explain the nature of the water temperature issues, he made clearly obvious to her that she was in no position to argue with a “career plumber” and was far too ignorant to dispute his judgment. At this point my wife asked him to leave the house immediately. When I called A Water Solutions today to discuss this matter, I encountered an equally rude receptionist (likely the wife of the owner) who told me that my wife had “called the plumber an idiot and then threw him out.” Clearly, my wife did not call Mr. Earl “an idiot” but did ask him to leave. The receptionist appeared to find this humorous. When I mentioned to the receptionist that I had just read a large number of highly negative (F Rating) Angie’s List customer reports about A Water Solutions and, specifically about owner Matt Earl, she responded “well, I do spend a lot of time contesting many such reports with the Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List…”. Two days later another plumber tested the water heater, determined the cause of the water temperature problems, and repaired the water heater in less that 45 minutes. The water heater is now operating properly. This second plumber from another company could not have been any more polite, professional or efficient.

DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY! The owner (Matt) came to my home today Feb.16, 2021 for a refrigerator leak from the utility room plastic pipe. He started cutting the plastic tubing BEFORE ever determining what the problem was and where the water leak was coming from. He offered no logical explanation and didn't know what he was doing. He is very sarcastic, rude and highly unprofessional. He has ZERO communication skills, poor customer service and even flip me the finger as he left my home! Who does that? He is lazy and takes the path of least resistance. I can't believe that American Home Shield who I paid almost $700 a year as my Home Maintenance vendor would ever hire some one with such poor manners! After he left I checked on Angie's List to see other reviews and Matt and his employees have received "F Ratings!" consistently. No surprise there. Do yourself a favor to avoid frustration and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! The worst experience ever! Therefore I give them an "F rating" as well. Powell, Ohio Customer.

The other reviews are spot on. Do not use this company, and if you get assigned them as your contractor through American Home Shield you need to call and get reassigned to someone else ASAP. The owner, Matt, is notorious for finding reasons to not do the job while still getting the flat rate from AHS to be there for 5 minutes. He lied both to me and to AHS in his evaluation. He told me a bathtub couldn't be snaked without a cleanout, which is a joke - you just go through the overflow. Then he told me just use Drano, which is insane to hear from a so-called plumber. But despite telling me that, he turned around and said the slow drain of my SECOND STORY bathtub was from the mainline stoppage in my BASEMENT. If that were the case I'd have had sewage coming out of everything on my first floor, which wasn't the case. Then onto the main reason he came - my mainline stoppage. My cleanout is a few feet in the air, and he said it impossible to safely do, needed to be hydrojetted, etc. He then told AHS the cleanout wasn't even accessible and I needed to have one installed. Which, of course, AHS doesn't cover. Needless to say he was lying, so I had AHS send a different company out for the second opinion, and they did everything perfectly fine without issue. Do not trust Matt or any of his employees in your house. They will lie, screw you over, then they'll refuse to answer or return calls. They deserve their terrible reviews.

Noticed my water heater was leaking an hour before I was to go out of town. Called American Home Shield, my warranty company, to get process started as my daughter was staying at the house. A Water Solution was sent out and didn't say much besides it needed to be replaced. We received a call on the answering machine from home warranty company stating that the leak had been going on for months (which would have made it before I signed up for the home warranty contract) and it was leaking and drying up which is totally false as I go down in my basement at least 5 days a week and never saw anything before that time. Based on A Water Solutions recommendation, the home warranty company said they wouldn't replace but that this company would replace it for $1,100. We requested a second opinion which we received when got back home and that company was honest and straight forward and told warranty company there was no way to determine when it started leaking and after a month the issue was resolved and it was covered. I would NEVER hire this company or suggest it to anyone else.

After the technician had left, the modifications were completely unnecessary as I had another plumber review this. The modifications which were made, did not come up to the cost I was forced to pay.
Description of Work: I hired A Water Solutions through my home warranty. i was completely unsatisfied. They were hired to replace the water heater, however they insisted I have unneeded modifications completed in order to have this done. They would not do the work, unless I paid additional money for this and of course it was not covered by the home warranty. I will never use A Water Solution again.

Referred by my home warranty company, American Home Shield for a leaky hose bib or water spicket on the front of my house. The gentleman came out and was on time (that's s the end of all good comments). He started the work and basically couldn't get the water spicket off from inside the house... use blow torch to sweat the pipe and set the floor joist on fire! (smoke alarm going off and everything) Because he had loosened the pipe now there was water leaking inside the house much more than the constant drip of the outside spicket.. instead of fixing it he actually said I don't know what I'm making it worst and I'm not going to touch it anymore and return this job to your home warranty folks. REALLY!!! and left joist burnt and water now leaking inside my house. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY BE ALLOWED IN MY HOUSE! I actually had to take matters into my own hands and called Waterworks to finally correct the issue without any further damage

Fine, until the problem re-occurred a few months later once out of warranty. Toilet running came back, and toilet flushing problems resumed. While some of this is likely from use, I was first told they would auger the toilet, then when they came back, they chose to do nothing. Called them recently to come out to the house to revisit old repairs and do some new repairs. Was told by the receptionist (Michelle?) that, IF I ELECTED TO HAVE SERVICES DONE, the charge would be $120 plus parts. I was very clear with her in confirming that I would NOT be charged if I didn't like their estimate. Instead, Matt comes to my house, tries to charge $185 each for two toilets that require a $10 part, then tries to collect $120 after we declined service. Afterwards, Matt yelled at my wife (who was home alone with kids) and stormed out of house. Further told my wife that she can put the toilets back together herself. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Will not call again. Attempted to call Michelle to speak with manager but no response. I assume Matt is the owner and just doesn't care about repeat business and/or word of mouth.

I was referred to this company via American Home Shield home warranty. We bought a new house a couple months ago and needed the sump pump checked out as it wasn't working and a newly formed wet spot under where the master bath tub sits addressed. The issue was not with the timeliness of the appointment. Punctuality was good. It's simply that the 'technician' was extremely rude, belittling, rushing, did not listen to me when I was trying to tell him the issues with the plumbing, and as it turns out gave me incorrect information. Upon arriving, he was obviously rushing to leave. I quickly showed him the water spots in the ceiling, and led him to the master bath. I explained that I thought it may be the drain overflow. The night prior I had taken a bath and noticed [ a little ] water be sucked down the overflow, and later found the ceiling was wet. Now, I know my way around a bath tub and understand the concept of not filling it up over the overflow plate, and not letting it run over the tub. Duh, right? Well this is where things turned a little misogynistic and Mr. Technician decided to teach this dumb woman how to use a tub properly. He proceeded to tell me "well you can't fill the tub up so high" and "water cannot go down the overflow, that's not what it's for" (incorrect, it serves a couple purposes: catching small amounts of water and cleaning out waste). I asked him, so if water isn't supposed to get in the overflow, why is there an opening? He just kept repeating himself saying it's really for "snaking the drain only". I swear the way he's talking to me he's probably picturing me splashing around in the tub, gallons of water splashing up and out. He opened up the tub access and proceeded to tell me he couldn't see anything and they sprayed foam where he needed to see, so that was that....? What? I'm paying you to look at this and you can't even do that? I get there's foam in there but I'm sure you've seen it before? Can we take some of that out? This is why you're here, sir. I had to ask him to unscrew the overflow and GUESS what. It's loose. And the rubber seal looks like it has seen better days. So, do you think he'd offer to fix? Nope. I said "well I'd like to be able to use my tub?". Literally, "well if you really want me to rip apart your ceiling downstairs to figure it out, I can, but I don't think you'd want that" He also suggests ripping out the tub completely. Really? We go down to the basement to check out sump pump. About this point I was thinking of just telling him to leave. It's hard enough being female, having to deal with people who assume you know nothing about your home, and having to trust these people not to take your money. Luckily, I am rather home savvy. My dad taught me. I do all of the handy work around my home, and I'm proud of it. The sump situation also was a joke. When we bought the house we tested to see if it worked, put water down in the pit and the pump wasn't working, so we unplugged it. I told him this and he literally looks at it. Says he can't open access the sump because it is now sealed (true) due to a radon mitigation system. He sees its unplugged. Plugs it in and... It works. Turns to me.."it was unplugged" I was about to lose it and it was apparent that he was leaving anyway. Ladies and gents. This all happened in a matter of about 10 minutes!
Description of Work: Nothing. He did nothing. Clearly, because I am female and answered the door with a baby on my hip, I know nothing.

This is the second time my home warranty company has dispatched A Water Solution out to fix separate problems. Once last year for a hot water heater and the most recent for a supply line leak. Nicole, the initial contact is friendly and punctual and has great customer service skills. She was able to get a technician named Don out very promptly. Don is the technician that I dealt with in the past when he fixed another companies error quickly and correctly. Luckily he was dispatched for this call. He is very friendly, smart and helpful. I get the feeling from Don that he has a vast knowledge of plumbing and really wants to do things correctly in an efficient manner. My leaking supply line was quickly fixed and I wouldn't hesitate to have Don come out for any plumbing related issues. I am happy with the service from start to finish and feel confident that he would stand behind his work.

Placed a home warranty service call with AHS for a sump pump that quit working. AHS said they would dispatch A Water Solutions to take a look. Waited for three days, didn't hear from AWS so I called them. AWS said they would send someone out on Tuesday which is five days after I placed a service call. Luckily I had a back up sump pump but AHS and AWS didn't know this so it could have been a huge problem. Unfortunately I had to go out of town on business by the time Matt shows up and says the sump pump replacement isn't covered by warranty. I still disagree with this but it is what it is. My wife pays for the initial service call. Since I was out of town I asked my wife if AWS would be willing to replace the pump and how much it cost. I told her to go ahead and have Matt come back to replace it. He did, but then waited in the house until I called with my credit card to pay for the service call. My wife said it creeped her out and she was getting ready to call 911. When I returned home I inspected the work that AWS had performed and can't believe a licensed plumber had actually replaced the pump. The pump was not level and was sitting on a brick. The cord was hanging in the water. He left the old tie wraps that he cut off the old cord laying on the floor but did not tie wrap the new cord so that it would not hang in the sump water. The next day I called Matt to ask him a few questions about his work. He then proceeded to yell, cuss at me, and call me names. I have never in my life had a conversation like that. His basic excuse for his poor workmanship was that the previous plumber had done a poor job so he did too. I asked him why he waited in my house after the service call and he said "because people don't pay their f****** bills". I asked Matt to refund a portion of the service call for the poor workmanship and he refused, called me a few more names, cussed some more, then hung up. I filed a claim with the BBB but the case is unresolved. Let this company in your house at your own risk. Be prepared for a verbal tirade if you question the workmanship, warranty, or cost.

we have a home warranty with homeGard and we made a claim because we could not get the shower to come on or the tub plug to move so that water could fill tub for bath. He then found the piece of the spickett where it needed to be pushed down for the shower to come on ( on older tubs I was told, never saw this before) and then told me that i should just buy a rubber stopper if someone wanted to take a bath because the tub plug was all rusted from non use and if we were to break that, the tub would not drain. And for it to be repaired they would have to rip out my siding and kitchen cabinets to replace a tub stopper!!! he did Absolutely NOTHING, had to call my home warranty company back and am still waiting, I told them idid NOT want the same company to come out!! He took advantage because I am a woman and didnt want to do his job and fix the tub plug. Seriously rip my house siding out to fix a tub plug?? someone obviously didnt want to do their job!! after speaking with a friend of mine and my realtor, i was scammed!!

Contracted by American Home Shield to look at two plumbing issues. Irrespective of whether or not the issues were covered by AHS (one was not, one is), Matthew was not overly personable and then when I asked questions about the issues and whether/why they couldn't be fixed, became belligerent. He engaged in name-calling and indicated I should not call AHS about my policy until he talked to them. I was a little concerned about the intensity of his attitude and called my husband to talk to him, both to answer technical questions but also from a safety issue. I then called AHS. When Matthew realized that I was on the phone with AHS - as policy holder that is my right - he ended the conversation with my husband and left. I would not feel safe with A Water Solution in my home. In addition, I am stuck with a frozen, leaking pipe. Separate from the actual service call, Nicole (scheduler) was pleasant and called to let me know when the service provider was on the way.

The pricing has been good. We actually used them through American Home Shield. They were resetting the disposal in the kitchen, resetting a toilet, changing the filters in the bathroom sinks, they've done a lot of things. They know what they are doing.
Description of Work: He came out and replaced the dishwasher before. The last time we had him, it was because the water pressure was down in the bathroom sinks and he came out and replaced the little filter and didn't even charge us.

Sum Pump was replaced with no issues. The water heater was to be covered under a home warranty, however, the provider insisted the water heater was installed incorrectly and insisted that not only did the water heater need replaced, but it would not be covered under the warranty. We had already had 1 other contractor evaluate the water heater, and he did not indicate an incorrect installation. Our third opinion also agreed that the water heater was installed correctly.
Description of Work: Replaced sump pump and evaluated water heater.
