Action Door

This is the second time we have used Action door. Both times they were prompt in returning the calls. They set up the appointments within 24-36 hours of call. They arrived when they said they would and they were very professional. And, of course they fixed the garage doors. Our experience with commitment to service in North Eastern Ohio has been varied compared to other areas we have lived. Action door scores high on all aspects of service and repair and we would recommend them without hesitation.

The salesman and technicians were very professional. We had an unusual problem, where when the sun was shining on the sensors, the beam was "interrupted" causing the garage door to close when we attempted to open it. A technician had to come out two different times before the problem was fixed to our satisfaction. However we were treated respectfully and are very happy with the results.

We had an odd sized garage door that had to be ordered. We had to wait a long time for the replacement door. We were told that the order did not go through properly for whatever reason and that caused a longer wait time. Mistakes can happen, but there was very little communication from Mr. Door during this waiting period. We had to initiate calls. Therefore, our only criticism is about responsiveness and professionalism. They need to work on customer communication and follow up. The installation itself was very good. We would recommend them.

It started with me going to a big box store and look at the latest and greatest garage doors. Then, I called Action Door when I knew what the prices were and what I was willing to spend. A sales associate came out and showed me the same doors I saw in the box stores, but these were made right here in Ohio! Bonus with a life time warranty. Installed by professionals and it was half the cost of ordering them and doing it myself! No-brainer! I would recommend them for any garage door install.

On 11/10/12, Dan, a supervisor who lived in the area, came on his day off to provide the estimate. He arrived on time and knew his product & costs by heart. I was impressed. I chose Action for their product, A Wayne Dalton insulated steel door and Liftmaster opener, but most companies offer similar products, so my decision was based primarly on the fact that they offered Saturday installations. On 11/12 I placed my order. Installation was scheduled for today, 12/1. Nick arrived promptly at 8am. Was personable and got right to work. He brought everything he needed to complete the job. I offered him bottled water, which he didn't drink and use of my bathroom, which he also declined and the job took 7.5 hours (4-6 was the estimate) to complete. He cleaned up the job site, showed me how to use everything, was polite and an excellent worker. I am so glad he was assigned to my job. He did a great job!. The door looks good and is so much quieter than my old 1960's wood model. I've only had the door for an hour, but am satisifed so far. I feel confident that if I should have any issues, someone from Action Door will address them promptly.

They fixed the issue at a reasonable price. The cabled that worked the door was off and then wrapped around the track. He had to fix all of that. They came within the hour and fixed it quickly.

This happened on a Saturday morning. This meant not being able to get the car out of the garage. The guy on call, arrived when he said he would and did a quick job even though it was not a straight forward repair given the age of the door. He did a few extras like tightening all the screws in the door as well. This may be standard but I would have never known. I was happy with both the work and the price.

Called Action Door on the morning of July 30th. Dispatcher said it would be afternoon before a technician could come out. Only an hour later a technician called and said they could be over in less than an hour. They arrived inside that timeframe. They had an appt cancel at a business that was too busy that day. Two technicians arrived and started work immediately. Dan was training Andrew, so it took a little longer than normal, but was still very timely. Cost quoted and paid was accurate. Area was cleaned up upon completion. Great job! Would use Action Door again, happily.

They were able to come out within a reasonable amount of time. They did a good job & fixed the problem. I thought their service was very good - My husband was the one that talked with them during the repair & he like them very well also. He even checked the other door while he was here & quoted us a price for new doors which we'll be needing soon. That price was also very reasonable.

Action Door was able to install a new garage door on an existing frame that was not leve. They thoroughly explained what would the lnew door would ook like and what we would need to do to make it look "good." We also used them previously and were very happy with the quality and timliness of their work.

They were very courteous and showed us the different styles. When they put it up, they were efficient and we were very pleased with their work.

Work went well, rep friendly. Even made sure it was okay if he played radio while working (I have an attached garage). Cleaned up after completing work.

Called for an estimate to replace a portion of the molding around the garage door. It would have been $90 for Action to send a guy out to do the work, but the person I talked to let me know that I could pick up the molding myself from their parts department and do it myself. That's just what I did. Cost me about $16 for the molding and they threw in the nails. Action put the door on originally including an opener installed on the side instead of on the ceiling due to the layout of the garage and they did an excellent job. Great company!

Action Door sent a young felloow named Eric out to my house. He saw that my electric eyes were not lined up properly. He re-adjusted them, then adjusted the tension on the main spring, lubed all the hinges and wheels on the door, and adjusted the settings on my door actuator. When he was finsihed, my grage door opened and closed perfectly. I'm glad I phoned Action Door rather than try to fiddle with the adjustments myself.

Made the appointment within a day of calling. Thought the price was sort of high, but it was still cheaper then some. He showed up early for the appointment and was done within an hour.

Called them at 8:30 AM. Was told they could come out between 10-3 and they would call within half an hour of arrival. Received call about 11 and technician showed up about ten minutes later. Fixed the problem I called about, which was the electric eye issue, but did a thorough examination of the door and hardware. He showed me the where the cables were corroded and frayed and offered to replace them. When finished, he tightened the spring tension and thoroughly lubricated the door. He was prompt, couteous, and thorough.

They responded quickly, and did the work that visit.

We were having trouble with erratic operation of the garage door. We thought it was a problem with the opener. I called Action Door at about 7 PM and reached an answering service who paged the on-call technician. After about a 15 minute wait I was called back. After discussing the situation with the on-call technician, he told us that we most likely had a broken spring. We discussed repair of the spring but was told that it would take over a week to get replacement parts. In winter, that's not an acceptable option so we setup to have the office call me back in the morning to arrange a house call with potential for a spring system replacement. I was contacted by the office just about 8 AM and we arranged for the technician bring the parts to replace the existing Torquemaster spring system. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later. He showed me that we did indeed have a broken spring. I told him to replace the spring system which he did. The work was finished in about 2 hours. The technician, Dave, was pleasant to work with and explained everything clearly.

They are excellent. They do a quality work. We had them install a new opener last spring and that just works fine. We had a problem in the fall because the ice got turned around and it wouldn't go down. They are courteous and they are prompt. They do a good job.

We liked the product. They were a little bit more expensive but they do have a nice guarantee. We were happy with the service and clean up. We were satisfied, I'm sure if you shop around you can find something less expensive but we were happy. I never give anyone an A, you'd have to stand on your head for me to give you an A.

Went to showroom and dealt with Ron Steiger. Helped me pick out right opener and set up installation date and time. Installer arrived right on time and was done in about two hours. The only suggestion I can think of is if someone is going to spend $400.00 on a garage door opener ..... throw in a couple of light bulbs.

Called Action Door for quote to replace broken garage door. Salesman arrived when promised within two hour window. Crew arrived to install door when promised and finished job cleanly and promptly.
