Action Door

If I could rate this company a 0/5 stars I would. We had a man come out and fix our garage door last month (replace cable, realignment, etc). We paid $260.00 for service. Shortly after he left, our garage door would not close all the way and instead kept coming back up without even touching the ground. We let it go to see if it would correct itself, and it did not. We called Action Door back, assuming they’d correct their mistake out of courtesy, and the tech came out and wiped grass off the bottom of our garage door. Literally that was it. We were charged $180.00 ($175.00 of that being their minimum service fee) that was ALSO never disclosed. This did not fix the problem and it intermittently will still not close. After complaining about the fee, considering this was a new problem that we never had before the first tech was here, Action Door informed me that this was a new problem that was NOT the initial techs fault and we would be charged due to it being a second problem that required a service (aka a service of wiping grass off the bottom of the garage door with no solution). This company is trash and my entire family will no longer be using their services after we’ve used them for years. Great job Action Door!!! Everyone be aware of the $175.00 service fee that they charge you no matter what!!!!!!! They won’t tell you about it.

As a previous satisfied customer we ordered a door for our new garage on October 6th. It arrived at their facility on December 1st. This was within (Barely) the estimated widow for installation. They notified us of a January 4th installation date yesterday December 4th. When asked why a month delay the answer given is that one of their 2 installers is off work and the other only does one door per day M,W,F. The assumption being that they don't want to pay benefits and use 1099 help/part timers. This is a choice they have made and it has a detrimental effect on our project as winter is approaching. When we ordered the door representations were made that once it arrived it would get installed within a week. This review is not meant to disparage the quality of work they perform as we have been happy with their services in the past. However if you are planning to purchase a door from them beware of the extra time involved based upon their staffing and business decisions. Whomever you order a door from you should ask about their installation backlog. We did at the time of order but things changed and their business leadership did not respond and adjust to keep at least this customer happy.

I was looking for someone to fix a broken spring on my garage door but didn't want to pay too much cause I'm a single mom. I was told by a friend there was a guy who did side work really cheap all the time and to look him up. I always check out people coming into my home for safety reason cause you can never be too safe. I was appalled that Action Door has someone who is blatantly racist and posting this kind of trash on their social media

It cost $ 120 for the first 30 minutes, so I was a little concerned what the total cost would be. It was shocking how much work they got done in 30 minutes! They were very nice and informative! They had to take the whole bottom section apart, got the bent rail fixed, fixed my door panel so it didn’t have to be replaced, got it back on track and all put back together. Then they tightened the springs and oiled it for me so it wouldn’t be so noisy! Plus they stapled the weather stripping up for me so it wasn’t hanging. Saved me a lot of money by fixing the panel! They did all that in 30 mins! I ❤️ Action Door! I’d definitely call them again!

They were punctual. Their price was very good. The door quality was excellent. Very good experience. The guy that came out worked really hard and did a fantastic job. One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor.

Quick and very professional to work with. Explained all the features of the new opener and how to program my car buttons to work with the opener.

It was a new garage door. I think we checked at another company and it was way more than that. There were two people that worked on the garage. I was surprised that there wasn't more. It was only a couple of hours because they had to remove the old door.

Except for a minor equipment failure, fine.

Came out same day and replaced both door springs. Prompt and courteous technician. Aligned an lubricated garage door and made sure everything else was working properly.

There was a little confusion on what needed to be done ahead of time so the site wasn't ready when they showed up and I had to reschedule. When they came the second time they were in and out in a day and had all three doors installed and the existing openers reconnected.

They are very professional, low cost. Fixed the opener in about 30 seconds. We highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

My garage door started making a lot of noise so I called Action Door to come and look at it. They had installed a new spring about 4 years ago and I was happy with their service. Action Door sent out a pair of technicians within about an hour. I was pleasantly surprised at such prompt service. One technician watched the operation of the garage door one time and told me that the garage door spring was broken. He told me that this type of spring has a very limited lifetime. He said that Action Door did not have a replacement in stock and that it would take 3 days to get one. Since it had only been 4 years since I previously had a new spring installed, I asked him if there was any way to install a longer lasting spring. He said that a different type of spring could be installed that has a lifetime warranty for only about $200 more and that Action Door had one in stock. I immediately decided to ask for the installation of a lifetime warranty spring. I was pleasantly surprised and happy that they offered replacement of the spring the next day. On the next day the technician came at the scheduled time and replaced the defective spring with the different type. He was finished in about 2 hours. The door works great and I was very happy with the good and prompt service I received. I would definitely use Action Door again and I would recommend them.

It was very good service and they were on time. I've used them twice. This was an old wooden garage door that they had to fix. Everything was great!

The technician showed up within the time frame that I was given. He was very professional and even though one side of the garage door was more of a challenge than the other side, he had it working in a timely manner. I was very concerned that the garage door would of had to stay like that all night, and had originally called another company, which couldn't come until tomorrow afternoon, but Action Door had emergency service and got the job done. Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease, and I went on to enjoy our Cleveland Indians play!

My garage dpring broke yesterday after normal business hours. I called for an appointment today at 8am and I was told a repairman will call me 30 minutes before arrival. He called me at 10:15 while I was at the store and he arrived at 10:45 as promised. The repair work was completed in one hour. This company has completely exceeded my expectations!

Excellent. Mike did a great job of making needed repairs and explaining what happened to us. We really appreciate the prompt response to our call. Called at 3PM; Mike was here by 4. We were concerned what we would do if repair could not be made last night.

Came out as scheduled, job took slightly longer then I expected, but it was a very cold day. They did a great job on the install of the opener and all of the accessories. Unit works great. Would recommend this provider.

Dan and his team at Action Door of Cleveland took care of us from start to finish. Dan answered all our questions when we stopped by the showroom. He was respectful informative and absolutely not pushy, answering our questions then giving helpful insight after asking about our needs. When we were ready for our purchase Dan and his staff quickly and efficiently processed our order. We needed to reschedule the initial installation date and Dan took care of getting us rescheduled quickly and without any hassle. The installation team was clean, courteous, responsive, quick, and took all the old hardware away with them. Our door looks beautiful and the windows we went with add sunlight in our garage which we haven't had for ten years since we built our home. We are 100% satisfied with Action Door of Cleveland and would gladly recommend them to anyone needing service or a new garage door.
