Action Door

Installer arrived in a timely manner and my new garage door opener was installed in a timely efficient manner.

We sat around the house waiting for at least a courtesy call to say someone was coming out to check the door. At 3:25pm after NO Calls we called 216-739-3667 to advise that we were cancelling the appointment. Action had installed the door and opener several years ago. we were happy with the price and installation at that time. Did something change?

They were fine. I have no complains. They were responsive to my inquiries but they did not give me the estimate right away so I called another outlet but they did not return my call. I've used them in the past; they serviced my old garage door opener. I think they installed my last garage door opener. They were clean and they didn't leave a mess. They were here when they said they'd be.

Called after hours and answering service contacted the technician on duty. I was called back within 5 minutes of my original call. Eric Strong arrived within 15 minutes. He diagnosed the problem quickly and started repairs. He brace the tracks to insure that the problem would not occur again. Very courteous, very efficient worked.

We came home on July 3 to find our garage wouldn't open. After calling a number of garage door service providers, Action was the only one willing to come out before the holiday weekend and fix the issue. The technician arrived within the hour, as promised on the phone. He set to work and was very friendly (and funny). The one spring was broken; we went ahead and had both springs replaced. The price was reasonable and he completed the job in a very timely fashion and cleaned everything up before he left.

They were here 2.5 hours after they called, the repairman was super nice and helpful and finished the job is just over an hour.

I called Action Door on 2Sept. they sent out a tech on the 3 Sept., they called to say he was on his way and he arrived on time. He examined the door, fixed the tract, oiled the door and adjusted the opener. The door works perfectly! He advised me the door was a old Crawford door and they don't make parts as the company is out of business, so if the rollers or springs go I will need a new door. He was very professional, did his work I gave him a check and that was that.

i called this morning and they came out within 3 hrs. Have to give a big shout out to my technician, Mike Douglas (like the actor)... Was very kind, personable and experienced. Along with the great service from Action Door, dealing with such a knowledgeable and kind fellow was a GREAT EXPERIENCE. No one likes when things break unexpectedly, but this was such a pleasant experience, I thought I should share.

Installer showed up as scheduled and preformed the work as promised on date/time. Old garage/hardware was taken away and the new door looked great. We were very satisfied with the work and outcome of our new door.

Called provider early in morning, when garage door only opened few inches. They were here within 3 hour window. Immediately replaced 2 springs in an hour. Very satisfied with prompt and efficient response to problem.

The problem started in the morning when my garage door stopped 6 inches from the floor. I noticed the loose cross bar and called Action Door. The repairman came out the same afternoon. He also noticed the broken bracket and showed me how it made the wheel run crooked and put stress on the whole door. He fixed these problems, and the door now opens fine. However, he warned me that the opener is over 15-20 years old and there are no longer parts avaoilable for it. He gave me quote for a new opener (429.40), but I decided to wait. He was very honest and efficient. NOTE: I had Action Door do some work in 2009, and they gave me a quote for a new opener then ($418). It has lasted so far, but when I need a new one, I will call Action Door again.

Mike responded within 10 minutes, and quoted a reasonable price. He came to my house within an hour, repaired, lubed, and adjusted the door. He was very helpful In explaining what happened and why.

Our garage door, previously installed by Action Door, began to split as a result of wear. Action Door came out and repaired door at a very reasonable price and offered another alternative if we wanted to replace the damaged panel -- also at a reasonable price. Service technician was excellent and pleasant, even though I complained about original installation. Supervisor was also pleasant and helpful. Action Door definitely has my future business.

Service dept worked with my schedule same day and routed a service tech that was in the area to me the very next call. He showed up 3 hours earlier than previously scheduled. Jim was an old pro and having talked with him he has done quite a lot within this industry. No hi pressure tactics at all. Yes, I will need a new garage door but I don't need to be forced into a blind decision to have it. I am very, very pleased with my entire experience with Action Door. They are well organized with phone operators, service techs, salesmen, and install techs and are fair with their prices. You will find others helpful I am sure but after 5 or 6 phone calls to various agencies I went with Action Door and am, so far, completely satisfied.

It went great. We are very happy with the repairs, the timeliness (came out pretty much right away) and the cost. The technician was very kind and helpful in explaining what was needed, what could wait, and what we should plan for. We'll definitely be calling Action Door back in the future as needed.

The technician was very courteous and informative about the work to be done. He also offered to lubricate my other garage door and gave tips on how to maintain the moving parts of the garage doors. My only complaint is that Action Door refused to give an Angie's List discount. However, the cost was reasonable. I would definitely recommend Action Door to Angie's List members.

SNAP, CRUNCH?and the garage door wouldn't open for my wife this morning. Researched the Angie's List Reviews by members with similar issues, compared the prices of those Angie's List A-rated companies doing similar repairs and chose the best value for the work. Courteous customer service representatives provided a 10AM-2PM appointment window. The service representative showed up @ 12PM?and was finished by 12:45PM. Two new springs and a quiet, efficient opening door. No muss, no fuss, just did what he said he was going to do in the amount of time he said it'd take him. Good job!

Called around 8:30am on a Friday and spoke with someone on the phone. Told them my garage would not open completely and my car was stuck inside. They gave me a window between 10-2pm for a tech to come. Received a phone call around 11:15am from Action Door stating the tech would be at my home in 20 minutes. He arrived promptly and took a look at the door. He stated I needed a new spring and showed me where it was broken. Told me it was $175 for one spring replacement or $250 for both and they would receive a lifetime warranty. Had both springs done and it took him a little over an hour. The door is much quieter and smoother. Money well spent and was done by someone who knew their trade. I had him check our garage door opener as well because I did not know how old it was. Let me know it was manufactured in 1999 so it was fifteen years old. Told me openers last 15-18 years depending on how often you use them. He did not try to sell me anything. Will definitely use these guys again when I do buy a new opener this summer.

From the initial planning with Manager, Rick Wehe to the installation, I couldn't be happier with Action Door. Mike K. was out on Wednesday to install the new door and he was very professional in every respect and easy to work with. My only concern was doing this work in mid December but was assured by Action Door that garage doors are installed year round and that this was quite normal. They were right.

Called ahead - showed up on time and completed work - did additional work beyond the initial pulley assembly repair for door smooth operation.

A new door was installed and the old one removed and carted away. A repair person was called to fix the old door. He quoted a price on fixing and installing a new door. There was a slight mix up in getting a written quote for a new door but only slight. Door was installed promptly with only a couple days wait. Work was well done. I have no complaints. The installer took the time to show me were to oil the door when necessary.

I have just retired from work, so someone other than I will be scheduling next time. They had a contract to check all roll up doors, twice a year and do a drop test one time each year on fire doors. They did a great job and were always on their scheduled time.

I visited the store off 480 on a Saturday morning, after calling to confirm they could help. I bought a replacement garage door opener and the salesman helpfully coded it to my opener. I also asked about new doors since I'd probably need one in the future. The salesman was very polite and helpful, providing me with takeaway info. I called Action Door again earlier this summer when my garage door seemed to be "off track". They came out the next day and spent a few hours repairing my very old unit. The worker also provided me with suggestions on a new opener and gave me an estimate that would be good when I was ready.

The Company called ahead , the repairman was very good, I would definitely recommend them.
