Action Door

On a Sunday afternoon, could not open main garage door either automatically or manually. Found broken main spring above door. Called Action Door Service, requested immediate "emergency" service, as I need to be able to get my car out Monday morning. Serviceman arrived within an hour. Quickly and efficiently replaced both main springs, adjusted tensions, lubricated all parts of the door system, tested operation of the door both manually and via automatic opener. Made some adjustments to the automatic opener. Tested safety devices on door opening system. Completed entire job in about one and a quarter hours on site. Rate quoted above ($298) reflects Sunday emergency overtime charges. Normal scheduled rate would be lower. Serviceman was friendly, efficient and clearly very knowledgable about his work. I have used Action Door in the past, and have never had a bad experience with them.

Within five minutes, he knew he could not do anything. My problem is that I was charged for half an hour of time. There was an issue with the rubber trim which could not be corrected. We solved the issue ourselves. We took a large binder clip, placed it on the inside of the rubber and it does not rub anymore.

The price was reasonable and they got my door working better than before. The workers were good, and on time. They were also courteous and professional. I will use them again if the need arises.

I placed call to Action Door around 10:30AM on a Friday after several days with a malfunctioning garage door. I was asked if Monday morning would work for my service appointment, and I explained I'd be back at work on Monday and was hoping for something sooner. The company didn't hesitate in adding me on to same day schedule. As promised, I received a telephone call 30 minutes before the repair tech arrived. Throughout the repair, the technician explained what he was doing, answered any questions I had and tested the door extensively to ensure it worked properly before leaving around 12:30. He was nice and quite knowledgeable (in the industry for over 30 years). Action Door was professional and very accommodating with their scheduling - I had a fixed garage door within 2 hours after scheduling an appointment!

They did a good job and they had to make some adjustments to make the door fit properly. The price was very reasonable.

The service person arrived on time and said that the panel was probably blown but that he did not have that type of panel on the truck because he usually worked on commercial openers so he didn't have a way to test it to know for sure. No actual service to the opener was performed other than looking at the panel which had no outward signs of a problem (he was looking for burn marks or other damage). He did see damage to the motor housing which apparently hadn't prevented it from working before but was a sign that the end of its useful life was coming. So, because of the cost of the panel and the age of our opener we decided to replace the opener rather than have him come back again.

It went well. Service man arrived as promised, fixed the problem, and installed weather strip on bottom of door.

I've used Action Door at least 3 times before. As always, they're extremely professional and courteous. I wouldn't use anyone else.

They did a fine job! Garage door wasn't working and they fixed that. They came out within a couple of hours after I called. We initially had them do the door about 4 years ago.

Action Door was very good. They came one time and the technician walked me through what he thought it was and he suggested ideas then fixed it. So far so good.

It went excellent. They were here when they said they would be here. They did exactly what they said they would. They cleaned up their mess very well. Before they came to do the work they did go over everything with us.

They said they needed to replace both springs and I only wanted one, but I did agree. He said their was a lifetime warranty on parts. On the invoice it said 90 day warranty on parts and I asked him to change it on the invoice and he said he could not, he was not authorized to change anything. I then went ahead and had them do the work and paid $145.00 when another company wanted to charge me $500.00.

It was a toss up between them and someone else. They were very prompt and courtesy when they came out to my home.

The service tech came out at the time scheduled. He was very professional and helpful on the work that was needed. He told me that it was a routine fix and that it would only take a 1/2 hour. After he was finished, he described the work done and even upgraded the parts at no extra cost.

Bob came out and gave me a quote, which was comparable with the other quotes I had received. Very prompt service and he was able to get a man out for the job the next day. I had a family member stay at my home while they worked, as I couldn't get out of work, so I only got to see the finished job. One worker completed the job, which surprised me a little bit. I figured this was a two man job, but what do I know? Quality of work was excellent. The new tracks are very sturdy and were attached with care. The door itself is excellent as well. Everything works smoothly and it looks outstanding. No hassles whatsoever. Could have cleaned up a little bit better, I've found some washers and a screw here and there, but nothing I would consider a major problem. Would definitely use them again!

It went VERY well. I called, talked to a co rep who said someone would call shortly, he called and we agreed he'd come in an hour or so (after his dinner). He came and took care of business.

Called at 8:00 this morning. Was told they could have a tech on site between 10:00-2:00. They called back at 8:30 and said a job nearby finished early and could be there by 9:00. Technician showed right on time. Said it would take him about 1.5 hrs to complete. Took a few minutes less. Replaced both springs on door, lubricated and adjusted door. This is the second time I've used Action Door and both times they were on time, on budget, and very professional. Their costs are reasonable for the work done. I will only use them for any garage door needs in the future.
