Broadview Heating

Everything is excellent. They are awesome! The workers are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have absolutely no complaints!

They were okay. We have well water so I know it's really hard on the humidifier, but it just seems like he was really temperamental and I keep having him come out and was kind of wishy washy about it. They would work on it and then they would leave and then the light will turn back on, and I will call them and they would say there was a part missing or there is a recall on a part and this has happened twice. I think if they had that information in the first place then they would just fix it or they would alert the company, Honeywell, and they would alert us. Or they would contact us because I had a dishwasher that they contacted me about. I didn't purchase it. It was in the house when we bought the house. They were kind of pricey. I am still waiting for them to call me back because they were supposed to get in some parts and they said 2 days, and that was on Monday. I haven't heard anything from them. We are on a plan with them and that includes not charging us for the service call, but they still charge for their time. We've had the unit for almost 3 years. They replaced a heating element in it when they said something was going on with the heating element. I thought that was weird, they don't charge you for the part because that was under warranty but he charged me $33 for their time to install it. I will use them again because they were the ones who installed the humidifier. I bought a plan so they will be checking up on my air conditioner, but after that I don't think I will. I will find somebody, probably the Ber's because he talked a little bit about steam humidifiers.

My furnace stopped heating on one of the coldest days this winter. The company that usually services my furnace said that they couldn't come out for a week (!), so i called Broadview Heating. Curtis came out that same day and got me up and running within 45 minutes. Needless to say, Broadview Heating will now be my "usual" service company.

The individual that came in was very knowledgeable. We had a little problem with him coming in but as a whole, he's really very knowledgeable. He was able to find the problem and fixed it. The service was great. I'd probably use them again with their quality service.

They were very nice and worked as efficiently as I have seen in a long, long time. Would definitely use again. Did not give me the runaround like so many do this time of year. Wonderful. Did as he was supposed to and then left.

You can't do better than Broadview! This was the third time I've used Broadview Heating and I TRULY can't say enough good about the fair prices and the nice, friendly, professional, timely employees. It's so nice to find a company I'll be able to rely on for years to come.

We called on Tuesday and were able to schedule for Wednesday which was great since we did not feel the need was immediate. Curtis, the technician, called ahead and showed up promptly. He was very courteous and stayed until he was sure that the furnace was working properly and consistently. He also checked our humidifier to insure it was also working properly. We felt the cost was reasonable and will use Broadview Heating again.

Tim came out promptly to give an estimate to restore heating to one of our bedrooms and promised his scheduler would call so the work could be done within the week. A couple days later, I called her and she knew nothing about this. A full day later she called me to say the work could be done 10 days later. Tim had said it was a small job - at a cost of about $300 - but, unfortunately, he also mentioned someone else would be sent out to do the work, because (he jokingly added) "they don't let me anymore." I had hoped this would go better and prefer that the person giving the estimate is the one doing the work - esp. when it's not a straightforward job (as it required some investigating to determine the problem). In all my other experiences with Angie's List - for plumbing, electrical, etc. - the same person returned to do the work.

Scheduled appointment was between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Technician arrived a little after 4:00 PM. Quickly identified the problem as being a defective gas valve. Valve was replaced and tested. All is now well. Job nicely done, and I would not hesitate to contact Broadview Heating should future needs arise.

The people are wonderful. Everyone I talked to and that worked on the job was professional and knowledgeable. The work was done on time and its running great. Will definitely keep using them.

It went well, I had a coupon for a 1/2 price visit. Justin was very professional and friendly. I was initially very pleased with the service, but after doing a little research online, it annoys me that I was charged around $85 for a capacitor that looks like it costs $20 or less online. I realize that there is the expertise that I am paying for, however, I believe that this should have been accounted for in the labor cost that I paid and in the initial payment for the visit. My home is less than 2 minutes away from Broadview Heating, so its not like it cost that much to come out to see me. In the future, I will ask for an estimate before I agree to service so I can run the pricing. Ultimately $200 is worth it to me for the service that I received, but I suspect that if it blows again in 3 years, I will try replacing the capacitor myself and pocket the extra $180.

A/C check was great but they will be coming back to check out our furnace soon. It went terrific!

The gentleman who came to the house to review what needed to be done, did what was needed then seem to leave in a hurry. Not sure of their salesmen have to an special amount of proposals, but it seemed like the man was in and out without minutes. Didn't much matter the cost of the job was way out of our price range.

They should not be running specials that causes them mass business that they cant handle in a timely fashion.

They do great work. They are honest and trustworthy.

My furnace was rusting from the inside and also VERY old. We decided to replace it with a newer model. Broadview came out to the house and gave us a quote on a Rheem 90 Plus and it was very good. We had the furnace installed and 2 years later my Mom had to move into my home with health issues and my husband had a heart attack. We needed air conditioning immediately. Broadview put in the air and had a new circuit breaker box installed. We were up and running by the end of the day. I have always depended upon them and I know I can !!! Husband was in hospital last year for a month and I call Broadview to check furnace. The service rep. was so nice, checked everything on furnace and even helped me to change the filter. I would recommend them to anyone.

Received an estimate on a new heading and A/C for my daughter's home. This company took all necessary time to do a very complete review of the home and current system, and took all expected needs into account. John answered all questions, provided a complete estimate on recomended system and left printed reference material for us to look over. We were very pleased with the amount of time that was spent going over everything.

Serviceman was very courteous and helpful, asking questions to be certain we would be happy with the completed task. He did his work efficiently and explained the process and solicited input from us where needed. The outlet and light fixture were both broken. We had purchased replacements and he installed them. All works as is should.

They placed the new heater in our utility room and did some electrical and plumbing work to make sure it was all installed correctly. They were excellent! They provided great service and I would call them again.

I was confused with this company because of so many great reviews, but they dropped the ball with me. I contacted them to have some furnace exhaust pipes relocated which I found were installed incorrectly through a Home Energy Audit from my gas company. The secretary was nice and I told her my situation. She stated that she would take my information and have someone contact me. Normally I can just schedule an estimate on the first call, but I went along with it. The next day, I received a phone call from a gentleman who asked me what kind of services I needed. I again explained my situation for my furnace repair/re-install. The gentleman explained he was from sales and could not help me and he would have someone else contact me. I have no idea how sales even got my name? I was very confused. But I said okay and I will wait for a call from a repair man. It has been 2 weeks and I never received a return phone call. The job was contracted out to someone else.

On 1/22/13 I woke up to a temp of 52 degrees in my home. The furnace was blowing cold air. The temp outside was in the single digits. Hayden of Broadview Heating, after an extensive exam of my furnace, gave me the sad news that my furnace had a hole in it and could not be repaired. Hayden was polite, kept me informed and educated me as to what he was doing while investigating the problem. He had a camera which substantiated his findings. Based on the urgency, the next morning the owners Tom and Tim Olecki and TJ arrived at 9 AM and installed a new furnace under menacing conditiions. Since the furnace is in my garage they diligently installed the unit in below freezing temps from 9 AM to 2:30 PM. It was so cold that the coffee froze in the garage. Dedication, customer service, customer satisfaction and just plain old empathy for a fellow human being and her 2 dogs. Technician arrived on time and worked independently. Very trustworthy, professional and efficient. Work was competent and complete. Pleased with result and experience.

When the first floor was completely rewired the electricians accidentally cut the thermostat wires coming from the ceiling. They replaced the thermostat wires but the furnace would not respond to the thermostat's signal. Different electricians from the same company came two different times and claimed the wiring was correct and the problem was the furnace or lack of natural gas. The gas company came and verified the furnace was properly receiving gas. The next logical move was to get a HVAC person over. I bought a 50% off service call for Broadview Heating and called them on a Friday late afternoon and left a message. They called back Monday to make an appointment for Tuesday but then called back because of a cancellation and ended up coming that same day. The technician, Kevin was great! He solved the electrical problem in minutes and then quickly installed a new Nest thermostat. Kevin was friendly, polite, patient, fast and a real pro! It's because of these reasons we will be calling Broadview in the spring for our new air conditioner. The same day of the service, I found out my parents also use Broadview Heating!

I am very pleased with the service that Broadview Heating provided. I knew this was going to be a big cost to replace both furnace and A/C at same time but the team at Broadview made the pill easier to swallow - really good value because the high quality product -Rheem- furnace and A/C units and the obvious expertise and great attitude of the company members. Justin tried to fix my old furnace - spent a lot of time -4 hours. John came out to give me estimates -super friendly - non pushy. Mark and his crew came out to install. They did a 2 day job in one day- stayed late to assure we had heat over night. Mark was very approachable and made me feel at ease that we were getting a top notch product and installation. Bottom line - I recommend broadview heating without reservation for any furnace/AC service or replacement; a good company.

Service was better than I expected and efficiency of the technician made me feel confident that everything was completed so that I would have no worries for the furnace going out unexpectedly so I could put my mind at ease.
