Broadview Heating

As it always goes with Broadview Heating and Cooling---service was excellent. I never hesitate to call them.

The expert and experienced team over at Broadview Heating and Cooling are wonderful! They are friendly and very knowledgeable. They come over regularly to make sure our air conditioning and furnace work well. They are efficient and reliable too. I would highly recommend them to other friends and family members too.

What was wrong was covered under warranty. I normally use them. I've used them for years.

They did good work. They were clean and cleaned up after themselves. They were efficient and polite. After the service was done, they sent me a thank you note for my business. Two weeks after the service was done, I called back about the capping of my chimney. They sent someone out yesterday and put a covering over another hole at the top of the chimney at no charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I am going to have them out regularly to clean my furnace in the fall.

It was good service. They were very nice and everything was perfect.

Called Broadview Heating for a furnace tune-up yesterday since this is a highly rated HVAC firm on Angie's list. Some history: I actually called them mid summer (first time) when my air conditioner went out and Broadview Heating was going to take 4 days to get out which I fully understand because temperatures were 90+ that entire week and sure they were very busy with repairs much like a couple of other companies I called that couldn't get out for 7 days. So no problem, fully understand everyone is busy during peak season. Since I have an elderly parent and pets in the house and the house was at a temperature of 81 degrees inside, I had to keep calling other companies and someone was available the next day. So I called Broadview Heating to cancel because someone else was coming sooner. As already mentioned, no problem and I fully understand it was peak season and they were busy. Current: When I called yesterday for the furnace tune-up, they put me on the schedule and at the end of the conversation, I asked if I could use the first time customer coupon and the rep said no because I was already a customer. I tried to explain what had happened this summer and why I cancelled and her comment was "WELL... WE (BROADVIEW HEATING) DIDN'T CANCEL". That comment set me off because there is nothing like blaming the customer plus the the logic did not make sense to me. While I may be in their system, no work was performed in the summer at my house so I am not sure how I was a prior paying customer. Maybe that is their internal policy and/or in the fine print of their coupon, not really sure. Anyway, there was no sense wasting additional time on the phone and I told the customer rep not to come out and I would call the next highly rated Angie's list HVAC company.

I will certainly say their price is reasonable.

Lost a potential sale on new a.c.unit due to poor customer service.

Our outdoor A/C unit got knocked off its brackets during a storm. I called Broadview Heating & Air Conditioning and they had a tech come out and look at it. He said that the service valve was damaged and needed to be replaced. So they ordered the valve and brackets. He gave me the quote for $1,338 which I thought was high but he said that it was going to take two guys 4 hours so I thought maybe it was okay for 8 man-hours of work. Turns out that only one guy came out. So, I feel like I paid them about $200 per hour for the job. They did good work but I wish that I had gotten a second quote, and will next time.

They were wonderful. They are 10 out of 10 in every category in every capacity. We have had that company out here 3 0r 4 times and we keep going back to them because everything about them is wonderful. The price, service, punctuality, clean up and the return calls are all done in a timely fashion. The price was certainly reasonable and the job was worth it. The following day I rang his boss because the kid was probably only 22, to tell him what a wonderful job the person did. We bought this house eight years ago and we brought this problem to the attention of many and they all said that our house was just too big for the system that we have or the vents had not been placed appropriately. But this kid was the only who even made an attempt and made the house not 100% better but at least 75% better. So I told his boss how wonderful he was and what a great job he did.

Went well but then a couple of days later -- it got cold and needed heat. Heat would not work. Had them come back and the electrical board needed to be replaced. All working well now.

Inspect ac unit, and changed contactor. Excellent service friendly and knowledgeable staff all around. Highly recommended , I will for sure use them next time I have a issue with Hvac system

Broadview Heating is always Great! The technician, ART, was very courteous and explained every step so we knew what he was doing.

My furnace would light the burners sometimes and sometimes it would not.. Broadview Heating came out and spent 4 hours fixing the problem. It turns out it was an improperly installed wiring harness that was installed by another HVAC company. They switched the harness to the way it should be and the furnace fires first time every time. They then worked with me on the price for parts and labor costs so that I was happy all the way around. They would not give up until the problem was fixed. Very thankful as this was a problem for a few years and they were the only ones that really took the time and effort to fix it properly. Very happy and I will call them in the spring to check my air conditioner.

The tech seemed confused about the job and what to do. he kept calling the office for advise. He made several calls. he kept coming up with additional parts needed. To be far to him, it IS a very old furnace. the tech had to return with rebuilt parts. When he finished ( The furnace still didn't work properly), His bill came to $726.00. I called Broadview Heating and we settled for $350.00. We still had to call another repair company to get the furnace operating properly.

It was fantastic. It was so fantastic that I waited a week and called up the service manager and told him how great Justin was. They were like knights in shining armor. Everything was fine. In the middle of trying to pay him, I got a phone call from a relative who was in the midst of having a stroke. So I had to hang up with her and call 911. As soon as Justin realized that there was an emergency, he sent his trainee who was with him out to get all the snow off my car and start up my car so and get it warmed up so that all I had to do was go out the door, get in my car and drive to my cousin's house and get the ambulance. Now, that's a little bit above and beyond, considering that the other person came out five times and ripped us off $1000 and then left us with a list of additional parts. The parting words of the other company was, "Here is a list of parts and here is a list of things that you need to change in your house. If you're not willing to agree to all this, don't bother calling us again." Justin has this thing. He will not leave your house till he is assured that you understand what the problem was, how he fixed it and what to do if the problem occurs again. He put in a new thermostat for us and rewired everything for us. He programmed it for me. So I didn't have to be bothered with learning this whole new thing in the middle of all the stress that I was going through. I never had a problem getting ahold of him or getting information from him.

The staff were fine, did what they were suppose too and left. The workers were right on time. This company is local and dependable.

Furnace started acting up so we purchased a 50% service call coupon. Excellent responsiveness and willingness to schedule the appointment immediately. They were more than punctual and the technician was very punctual. While we realize that the issue with our furnace was not an easy one, the technician spent all in all more than 1 hour on the phone with the service manager to be able to pinpoint the issue. 2.5 hours and $252 later, the only things that he was able to do were replacing the sensor limit (not even necessary), washing the blower fan and turning up the blower speed. At the end of the appointment the conclusion was that our furnace was oversized and it may not have sufficient return air. Not a single effort to identify whether the returns are blocked or if the return main is clogged - I had to check that myself subsequently. I would have appreciated if their technician (very nice and professional otherwise) would have had the knowledge to solve the problem. Essentially, I paid for dead time: his training with his service manager. Lastly, the coupon read "As an incentive for you to try our service, we are offering Angie's List customers half off our normal service call rate". All I received was their regular rate of $89/hr. While I might consider them in the future for minor routine maintenance work due to close proximity, I will definitely try to find more knowledgeable technicians for serious issues in the future. UPDATE: Got a call from Tom, the Owner a couple of days after my review. He seemed very concerned with my review and the fact that the service did not meet my expectations. We scheduled a meeting, reviewed everything done to date and he suggested changing the gas orifices to downsize the BTU on my furnace (oversized for my house) and shared some useful energy saving tips with me. He seemed willing to go the extra mile "to make it right". Had another service scheduled 2 days later, got the orifices changed and settings changed back to default and everything seems to be working fine now. I commend Tom for his concern in regard to customer satisfaction!

They are our regular service people. We are on our yearly plan. They are excellent. They are local.

Great job and wonderful communication. Work was done very professionally and completely. Very satisfied.

The technician Justin arrived in a timely manner to find out why we didn't have AC. He explained in detail what happened and that we needed a new unit. He gave us the estimate, minus Angies coupon, and set an appt for the next week. The install technicians worked quickly, and neatly. Even laid down runners in our home for possible dirt tracked in during the installation. They left the work sights spotless and were very professional. We find that the office and technicians are courteous, pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable whenever we have had to call them.
