Description of Work: We have a continuing contract with this company to twice yearly check our AC and heating. We've been with Hauser for many years and come to rely on their professionalism, promptness, and in the case of a heating or AC emergency, since we are a preferred customer, they come as quickly as possible. On this day, the furnace was being checked for its annual cleaning . The technician found many issues ..the furnace is 21 yrs old and we had expected it to need replacement. The tech called me downstairs and explained all of his concerns. While he repeatedly said he did not want to scare us, he did say that it would not be worth fixing as the price of doing so would be useless since new furnaces are more efficient. He showed me what type of furnace he would suggest for our home. He called his manager to check the price of a furnace , humidifier and thermostat. I told him we belong the Angie's List and we were told that if we paid cash, he would take 3% off the price, which is fair. At this time we will probably continue to go with this bid, but we have gotten a second bid for comparison. Since we have used this company for many, many years, we obviously trust their work and reputation. They are very very good with my 93 yr old mother calls them with concerns for the furnace in her home, which makes a difference to me. Since we have a 3 yr service contract with this company, I did not need to pay on this day, as we pay for the contract when it ends. Should we buy a furnace, it will cost approximately $5300.

From the initial phone call to set the appointment to the installation, the service was exceptional and the equipment is high quality. We are very satisfied with the humidifier and would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: Air concition service call due to unit not cooling. 12 year old unit totally frozen, coil leaked, efficiency diminished. Mark the technician came back the next day to evaluate unit and recommended replacement with High efficiency Infinity unit. New outdoor and indoor unit were installed within 3 days plus they charged the old unit with Freon for no charge while waiting for the new unit. Mark the technician/service person was excellant and I would recommend asking for him when you call. Promises of efficiency and savings were accurate my first bill was $130 cheaper on the month plus Duke Energy gave a $400 check for purchasing high efficiency unit. Start to finish excellant service, knowledge, and installation top notch.
