Rain One Irrigation & Drainage Systems

The actual service performed were excellent; but administrative services supporting professional were poor. This was based on multiple contacts and conversations with the owner.

We use them twice a year and are pleased with the service.

Really impressed with their service. They were very quick to get to my house to give an estimate and their estimate was almost half of what other highly rated service providers on Angie's List proposed for the same job, same materials, etc. I was a little hesitant, but trusted in the ratings on Angie's list and hired them to do the job. They showed up when they said, did the job and cleaned everything up...all while I was at work one day.

We called RainOne after another service provider we used in the past failed to show up for two appointments. We found RainOne on Angies List and they were able to schedule us within 7 days. Given the time of year this was more than fair to us. On the day of our appointment two service technicians came out on time and called ahead to let us know they were coming. They performed all of the normal weatherization tasks and suggested some adjustments to a few of our heads that turned over time. The guys were great and very professional, we will use RainOne from now any time we need help with our irrigation system.

They also aerated my lawn, and they have always been very good. They come every spring and fall. They make sure that the water is out of the sprinklers before they shut it out. I also use them for back flow certification to make sure that water from outside does not come into the house. They do a great job at competitive pricing.

My experience with them was good. They do what they say they would do. I actually used them when we first moved to the house, they were helpful, helped me understand the irrigation system, getting it set up and finding out all the different areas. They are good and trustworthy people. It was for an outside irrigation.

Trucks arrived on time and as planned for our first encounter, which was a shut off for the 19 home neighborhood. Residents know ahead of time to either be home or get someone else to open the garage door and alow workers into the basement to shut the system off. They also 'purge' the lines so that no water is left in the pipes to freeze. Employees were considerate and fast, and got the job done, which is all we wanted.

Getting a quotation was promptly done. We made a down payment, but never heard back from the company for a date of installation. After calling a few weeks later, we were given a date. It would be nicer to have a call telling us instead of us having to call the company. At installation, the men were polite, friendly, and thorough. After a few days of operation, one leaking valve appeared which was promptly repaired by the company. All in all, it has been a pleasant experience to deal with Rain One.

The estimate was a pretty thorough proposal. I didn't have any issues with them.

Overall I am very happy. The estimator was very friendly and nice, and happy to answer questions.He estimated the work two ways, one with just the lawn and one with the gardens and lawn. I would have liked the estimate itself to show a breakdown of where the costs were coming from, however, instead of just a total. When I asked about the Angie's List discount, I was told that it had been included and that I could request a new estimate that showed that explicitly. I didn't bother since after all I couldn't judge whether the price was fair or not having no experience and no data. We had a few miscommunications about when they would call to schedule the work, and again about when the crew would be out there and when I had to be there and when I didn't. The plumber who came out t install the backflow preventer was great, showed up right on time, and answered all my questions. The crew that showed up to do the work was fantastic. Although they showed up a day earlier than I expected, it turned out I didn't have to be there so it was OK. The second day I was there, and they were all very nice. They worked hard, and were very respectful of my property and plantings. They showed me how they lay the pipes and how they went under certain gardens without disturbing them. They had to dig up a long section of gravel path, to avoid disturbing some plants, and I was sure that path would never be restored to its original state. I expected to see gravel in the grass and dirt in the gravel, but in fact they restored it to even better condition! I know that was a lot of time-consuming manual labor. The crew cleaned up very well, and even put down grass seed in places to speed the recovery-- a nice touch, I thought. Overall my experience was very good despite the slightly rocky start. I would definitely recommend Rain One to others.

The overall experience was pretty good. They were there when they said they would be but had a few issues with the installation. I called and they came back out and remedied the problem and took care of a few other items that they really did not need to do.

That was two years ago. They came out and gave me an estimate. I was not satisfied with them. He would not listen to what I wanted to do. Despite the fact, he told me what he wanted to do. The estimate they gave was outrageous! All I can evaluate is the estimate.

They arrived on time as scheduled and called beforehand to let us know they were on the way. Reviewed all the details of work to be done. Kept us informed every step of the way. They did not mind us watching or asking questions. Very polite, friendly, professional crew. The job took two days to complete and the finish work after the drain pipes were installed was great. Sod was cut and replaced over the new drain lines. Water drainage issues solved.

Excellent. The technician was on time. He had to spend quite a bit of time to replace sprinkler heads that were cracked and broken. He was very professional and showed me exactly what he was going to do before proceeding with the repairs. We will definitely be using Rain One for our sprinkler system in the future.

They are my irrigation system guys. They have a flat fee for the spring and they have to do three visits during this time. I’ve been really pleased and happy with them because I’ve been using them for my irrigation. They’re professional and they do the job right. It’s a pretty well run company. They’re also close to me which is good too.

Called Rain One to schedule an estimate for revamp of Sprinkler system. A guy called me and we set up a day/time. On the day of the meeting I had a medical issue and was able to get into Dr same day. Since I was afraid i would be late getting home i called Rain One about 2 hours before the meeting and asked them to contact their rep and asked to reschedule. He got the message but only a few minutes before our scheduled meeting. He left me a message that he went ahead and measured lawn and looked over current layout. He said I should call him to reschedule. I called him that same day and never heard back from him. Disappointing.

They are very responsive and professional. They are very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced.
