Jess Howard Electric Company

Tim Howard came out and provided an estimate on the job. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I scheduled the job and the technicians arrived exactly as scheduled. After a quick review of what work was to be performed they started working. It was decided that they would get the work done on the first floor before going to the basement and doing that work. Two outlets went in the floor in the study. We had push our wooden desk back to allow this work to be done. When drilling the hole the technician hit a knot in the wood and his sawsall jumped and damaged the front of the desk. I was unaware at this point of any issue as I was in another area of the house. The technician asked me to come into the study and he pointed out the damage on the desk. He was MORTIFIED and EXTREMELY apologetic. At this point he had already called his office and the safety director was on his way to the house to look at the damage. The safety director arrived and took pictures of the desk and assured me that they (Jess Howard) would take care of the issue. BEFORE the end of the same day I had already received a call from a furniture restoration individual and we scheduled time for him to come out and repair the desk. The way they managed the issue was SUPERB! The work they performed was great. The furniture restoration company did an EXCELLENT job and all is good. You can tell the true culture of a company by the way they recover from an incident such as this! GOOD JOB GUYS!

Scheduled the appointment a week in advance, the electrician arrived on time, looked at the work to be done and started right in. The job was completed in 2.25 hours, the work done as discussed and looked good.

He was professional and responsive. He was very easy going and did a very good job in taking care of the problem. I was satisfied with his service.

They did a great job. They fixed a couple other things they found wrong, which I really appreciated. I was very happy with them and would certainly use them again.

B- (??). Again, the job got done, but just not as expected (or as discussed with the electrician) and leaving the service panel hanging off the wall was just sloppy. Impression he left was that he doesn't care and takes little pride in his work. Based on everyone else's reviews of this company, it seems our experience is not representative of Jess Howard, but more of an issue with the specific electrican we had. I've shared my feedback directly with Jess Howard, I hope they address with the electrican in question.

A mouse had come in and chewed the wire. They were able to fix.

He came back to fix some things that my mother didn't like, so that they were to her liking. He did a beautiful job and was very nice. Their pricing was reasonable. I would use them again.

We opted for the "by the hour" charge vs. getting an estimate. We had an existing outlet capped and another moved over about 1 foot. We also needed a new outlet installed in our basement. The new outlet was a very clean and great looking job. Very pleased.

Scheduling was easy. On the day of the appointment, they called to have the technician come over earlier (if I was able), but I wasn't there. So, as it turns out, he arrived 30-60 minutes after our appointment time. That was fine with me. Nate (the technician) was clear, expert, and friendly (but not too friendly). We swapped tales of personal near-electrocution. (That seems like a necessary part of any conversation with an electrician, no?) Nate was able to figure out the various alternatives and recommend remedies and immediate next steps. He also suggested that some optional work needn't be done -- that I could just change how I was using the nearest outlet. Then, from his truck, he produced all sorts of parts that I had not fully warned the dispatcher he might need. As a result, he was able to do work that might have taken a less equipped electrician to the hardware store and back (costing more time and money). Nate moved very quickly from job to job. He was in and out of the house within an hour. In the end, I was very surprised at the low cost. I figured it would cost $200+, but -- including parts -- the bill was $127.15. After my Angie's List coupon, it was $112.15. Thanks, Angie!

I called for an estimate and Mr. Howard came out right away. The work was scheduled tobe done with in the week. Three guys showed up the first day and got the new box in and a few of the small items. One of the guys came back the next day to work on the closet light and the wiring break in basement ceiling, and to finish installing the outlet outside with 30 amp. He did most of the stuff but it was clear he did not understand what my husband required outside, and he told me wiring problem in basement was fixed. After checking the work in basement we found it was not working. My husband had several conversations with one of the workers about the part that was needed, the number and where to get it as it was for a trailer, and he was not familiar. When we called back and talked to the office manager and she talked to Mr. Howard, they sent "Wayne" out the next morning and he knew exactly what was wrong, what needed to be done. He did what he had to do and was out of here in less than 30 min. At all the times the company came when they said they would, all workers were polite and respectful. The office staff was helpful in scheduling and re scheduling. I am well satisfied with their work. I had them work for me years ago and they did a good job, I saw their name on the back of my Catholic church bulletin and decided to call them again.

They were knowledgeable when I called to set up an appointment. The person that they sent out was also very knowledgeable, professional, and really nice to talk to. I would recommend them to others.

I feel that this company is pretty reasonably priced. They give you an estimate and after the work is done, you have 60 days to pay it off. When they do the work, they are careful with your possessions. They are clean and do a good job.

My husband scheduled them and they arrived just as promised. They updated the electrical, and hung the light fixtures. They gave us credit on the invoice from the estimate for two circuits not done.

Quick and painless. they show up, do the work, and leave the area clean.

Howard gave us an estimate of $660 to install a fan in the upstairs hall, figuring 10 man hours of work. That seemed excessive to me for cutting a hole in the ceiling and wiring the thing to a box not 10 feet away. So I got another estimate from another electrician who foresaw a few problems Jess Howard hadn't seen, but still managed to install the fan for about a third of the cost and charged me by the actual hours spent.

Smooth less. Called on Friday, company came out Monday and made all necessary repairs. Price seemed fair.

I called them Monday in the am and they came out the same day to inspect the line attached to the house. They responded quickly so we would be ready when the power company made it to our neighborhood.

We called Jess Howard after we abruptly lost electrical service in our dining room and portions of our living room. They were easy to contact, came out quickly, figured out what the problem was and fixed it. They were professional and efficient.

I was experiencing temporary power interruptions in several locations in the house. I called Jess Howard and they scheduled an appointment for the next afternoon. However, before then the problem was resolved (it was a power company problem) and I canceled the appointment.

They came out in a timely manner and they did a good job. I would recommend them to other people and I will be using their services again in the future.

It was an emergency situation and they actually came sooner than promised and took care of the problem.

The receptionist I talked to seemed a bit abrupt, but it was okay. They were late arriving the date of service, but when they were already almost 30 minutes late, they did call to let me know they were running late. The service was very fast, however, and took less time and cost less money than I was expecting. I would use them again.

He does a very good job. He was always on time and I was pleased with the work that he did for us. His cost was also very reasonable.

It went very well they are punctual and they did a high quality job and I would hire them again and he was very flexible with changed occurred in the process.

It was a little expensive because they had to send somebody back in to look at the fan. They did end up fixing it though.
