Description of Work: We noted an electrical burning odor in our kitchen but could not definitively locate its source. Jess Howard Electric fit us into their schedule that day. The electrician found the problem and corrected it. We were very pleased with the service we received.

Description of Work: They updated my electrical box. I had moisture get into the old electric box. They did a good job with the re-wiring, they were on time and very courteous.

Description of Work: Retrofitted an old 4 tube florescent ceiling fixture to led lighting. He worked quickly and efficiently and saved us additional expense by not having to do lots of ceiling repair since replacement fixtures did not fit. We are very happy with the results and will definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Lucky for us he had the needed parts on the truck! It was a quick fix on the outside electic box.

Description of Work: I had been told before that ceiling fans could not be installed in my vaulted master bedroom (I think no one wanted to climb into the attic and tight spaces) or finished family room without a visible conduit. Tim's estimate from Jes Howard was accurate with no hidden add ons, (Mike specifically doing the work) was punctual, professional, attention to detail (even making a trip to Lowe's to make sure the face plate matched exactly). Cleaned up after himself completely- couldn't tell he was there except now I am cool!! Also put an outside electric box for much less than a quote I had gotten previously. Definitely will use again.

Description of Work: I have used the services of Jess Howard Electric Company. I had have some problems with my electrical that goes off at certain parts of my house. They did a partial re-wiring and re-wired my washer and dryer outlet and a couple of other outlets and a couple of GFI’s.

Description of Work: I had an electrical issue with a circuit breaker tripping all the time. Jess Howard could have come and diagnosed the problem and charged me. Instead the Service Manager helped me diagnose the issue and it wasn't electrical, but a bad appliance. He saved my the cost of a service call and an hours labor. I'm not sure other firms would have gone so far to make me happy and without any billable work. JH is A+.

Description of Work: Thought I needed a new electric box to accommodate a bathroom light fixture, but turned out the fixture connection poorly designed and never would have fit any box. But the fellow from Jess reworked the exiting wall box to match the fixture in a job that took him three hours. He was helpful and persistent on getting the job accomplished.

Description of Work: I got recommendation from manager of condo and I think I have used twice. |The one I remember is fixing wiring that some varmits has "worked on." The found the damage; repaired it and tried to make new attempts less likely. |After repair, all switched and utilities worked. Haven't had new problems, but if I do, I will call jess howard again.

Description of Work: They fixed my porch light so that it works. They checked out one of my motion lights and found that it worked properly. |I had another motion light that they said was working, but I later found was not. I asked them to take the porch light off of a timer, and put it on a switch, and they did not do this. |I had asked them to replace the motion light that did not work, but they did not do this, and they did not tell me on the day of the service that they would not do this. |The people in the office were very helpful. but I was not pleased with the repairman who did the work.

Description of Work: Jess Howard is such a fabulous company! They were scheduled to come out at 9:30 AM, but the called about an hour before the scheduled appointment and we accepted having them come early. No waiting. The workman repaired our doorbell; he diagnosed the problem, which was a bad transformer, and he immediately found the part and was able to repair it in a short amount of time. We are SO happy that we called Jess Howard. Totally worthy of Angie's List recommendation!

Description of Work: Replaced the outside electrical connection box. The electrician did an excellent job. A significant part of the cost went to the power company to come out and turn the power on and off.

Description of Work: Jess Howard removed a 220 electric line from our kitchen and installed a 120 wall outlet for our gas oven. In addition, he grounded our basement gas lines to prevent fires caused by lightening strikes. New ceiling light cams were also installed in our family room ceiling (6 cam lights in all). We've used the company many times over the years. They do excellent work at fair prices. It is a solid company.

Description of Work: First person there either did not know how to reattach the line of my house or didn't have the equipment. Had to call for help. Stood around for about 45 min. to an hour waiting for help. Seemed like a small job. They were here over 2 hours. I feel the bill was too large for the job.

Description of Work: Jess Howard installed a Kohler whole-houe standby gernerator for us. They also had to rewire our house electric panel for a transfer switch. Everything went without a hitch.
