We have been in the foundation, waterproofing, and drain tile business since 1961. Our other business- 'Tri State Concrete" has been installing foundations for over 50 years. Warm and Dry, LTD was started on our 51st year to provide professional basement and crawlspace waterproofing and repairs. We came to see a real need for top quality repair work for homeowners that have problems with their foundations. There are a lot of companies out there doing really shady work. We have re-repaired so many jobs that other companies have already done, which is why we decided to start this business and do it right.
"Good fast efficient,."

Family owned and operated since 1944, Wallside sells directly to the homeowner, manufacturing and installing its own products. With a factory/showroom located in Taylor, Mich., the vinyl window manufacturer services two thirds of the lower peninsula of Michigan and northwest portions of Ohio.
"The team came on July 22, 2021 to install all new windows in our Port Huron home. The windows were purchased in March, 2021. The WW agent, who sold us the windows in March, spoke of an area that would need a wood molding installed, and that we would need to purchase this, and stain it. The WW team would install it. When the second WW agent came a few weeks later, he told me that no molding would be needed, that no action on our part was needed. We were good to go. I was wrong to believe him, but he was supposed to know what he was doing. Immediately after the windows were installed in July, I inspected everything. Every window, with one exception, has a space, between the window and the frame on the bottom edge, filled with caulk and painted a dark brown. This is on the inside, not the outside of the house. The brown does not even closely match the color of our windows inside. It looks terrible, sticks out like a sore thumb, and is very unprofessional. No one every spoke to me about caulking or ever asked us about the space to fill. Many window frames are badly scratched on the inside as a result of careless installation. Many windows do not easily go up and down, or easily open out and back in. I discovered that the crew had incorrectly installed finishing wood strips on either side of the windows. As a result, most of the windows are too tight to work properly. For this same reason, one window is very loose when you open it towards you. It is not properly finished. One window is a bathroom has a top sash that is different from all the other windows in our home. WW tells me that this is no doubt because the window was broken and had to be replaced by them. Many latches for locking and unlocking the windows are crooked and misaligned. So, 2-3 days after the installation, I contacted WW with these issues. They came out to inspect over three weeks later. It has been a week since they came. Still no word from WW as to the solution. Hmmmm. I like the windows, but bad installation. I'm awaiting satisfaction."

Typically, glass block windows last about 15 to 30 years, slightly less than regular windows, which last 20 to 50 years. Resealing glass blocks can help extend the lifespan of this bathroom feature. The key to ensuring that glass block windows last as long as possible is to have a professional glass block installer place them. Glass block pros will have the skills, tools, and knowledge required to install these special features into any space, noting obstacles like damaged windows or too-cramped areas during the consultation.
Installing glass block windows has benefits and disadvantages, as with most materials. The pros and cons can vary depending on the type of glass block and the window location.
Pros
Maintains privacy while letting light into the bathroom
Energy efficient
Sealed to prevent drafts
Aesthetically pleasing
Strong and secure
Cons
Costly to install
Challenging installation
Challenging repair
Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.
The average cost to install glass block windows is about $710, ranging from $460 to $1,000, depending on the size and design of the window, installation type, and location. Different styles of glass blocks also impact the cost:
Clear glass blocks: $10–$30 per block
Colored glass blocks: $25–$40 per block
Acrylic glass blocks: $15–$25 per block
Wavy glass blocks: $10–$30 per block
Alpha glass blocks: $15–$25 per block
Ice glass blocks: $20–$35 per block
Diamond glass blocks: $20–$75 per block
Frosted glass blocks: $30–$35 per block
Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.
