Description of Work: I had Frank out for a quote and he was professional and helpful. I didn't have the work carried out as I sold the property as is.

Description of Work: Re-did a brickwork that had been botched up by another contractor. Bricks and mortar matched well with the rest of the house. Also repaired the brick on a rather tall chimney and also repaired our front brick/sandstone steps. Very prompt, courteous and the price was fair.

Description of Work: Did not use him as veneer stone wasn't really his forte but he was a good guy and strait shooter as best I could tell.

Description of Work: Frank responded quickly with an estimate of the cost of the work needed to be completed on the chimmney of our house. Once we agreed to do the work, we set a date and time for him to do the work. Frank and his worker arrived on time, tuck pointed the brick and repaired the chimmney cap, kept me informed on the progress, and completed the work within a day. Frank did a great job and did a great job cleaning up. I am pleased with the work and the professional manner in which Frank operates his business.

Description of Work: We had a leak and assumed it was the roof / chimney. A very large (not be be named) roofer in NEO came out, examined the chimney with binoculars, and quoted us over $2500 to remove the chimney and repair the roof. Frank came out, actually got up on the roof and looked at the chimney, and also went into the attic crawl space and in 15 minutes identified the problem as the chimney flashing and that the Chimney itself was fine. He did not charge. So I am writing to praise his honesty and professionalism.

Description of Work: Encouraged by the glowing reports on Angie's List, I waited patiently for Frank Scherer to come and give an estimate for replacing my back porch steps. The weather was very wet, and I realized he had a problem. I waited from May 11 to June 25, when he came to look at the job. I approved his estimate on July 5 and have heard nothing from him since then. At the end of August I left a message saying that if he could not do the job in September, I would no longer need him. I never received a reply.
