Description of Work: This service was done many years ago. As far as I can recall we had a problem with an analog TV set. They came out, picked it up, repaired it and returned it within one week. Has worked fine ever since.

Description of Work: I called and explained the problem they said to bring the TV. I asked about the timing because of the upcoming holiday weekend up. I was told they could look it over. It wasn't until I got there that I was told it would take two days for them to even look at it. I had to call to check the status. They never called. I was told they were checking on a part. I had to call again. Then I was told he couldn't get the part. I wanted to pick up the TV and was told they were closed and I would have to wait until Monday. They were closed for the holiday weekend. I told them they should have called to let me know and he said he didn't know I would want the TV back. He didn't know it worked (picture goes out but then comes back it). THIS IS A TV REPAIR BUSINESS!!! Then he told me they have 100s of tvs and he can't keep track. He would not let me come and get my TV so I could have it over the holiday.

Description of Work: I called them on Wednesday to get a TV serviced. They said they'd be out to pick the TV up on Friday between noon and 2 PM. We had someone waiting here since noon. It's now 6 PM - no one has showed and no one answers the phone - except some voice mail.

 + -1 moreAN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. TIMELY, COURTEOUS, REASONABLY PRICED. I WAS SOLD ON STEVE'S AFTER HAVING MY TV REPAIRED AFTER LOSING THE PICTURE. IT WAS DONE WELL AND ON TIME. ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER, WE MOVED, AND MY VIDEO INPUT WAS DAMAGED IN THE MOVE. I CALLED STEVE'S, HAVING HAD A GOOD FIRST EXPERIENCE, TO HAVE THE SECOND PART FIXED. I FULLY EXPECTED TO PAY, AND TOLD THEM I THOUGHT THE DAMAGE HAPPENED AFTER THE FIRST REPAIR. THEY INSISTED ON DOING THE WORK AS THOUGH IT WERE UNDER WARRANTY. A CLASSY BUNCH, AND WE'LL GO BACK AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH IT'S A LONGER DRIVE FROM OUR NEW HOME.

 + -1 moreTHESE GUYS WERE THE MOST ACCOMMODATING PEOPLE I HAVE EVER HAD DO WORK FOR ME! EVERYONE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY NICE. THEY WERE ALWAYS 100% UPFRONT WITH POTENTIAL COSTS OF REPAIRS (DEPENDING ON WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE SET). THEY TRIED VERY HARD TO BE ABLE TO FIX MY BIG SCREEN TV IN MY HOME SO IT WOULD NOT COST AS MUCH BUT, ALAS, IT DID HAVE TO BE TAKEN TO THE SHOP. IF THE REPAIRS COULD HAVE BEEN MADE IN MY HOME, THE REPAIRS WOULD HAVE ONLY COST AROUND $100. THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL, PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL AND GENUINELY NICE GUYS. I WILL NOT HESITATE CALLING THEM AGAIN SHOULD I NEED ANY TV REPAIRS DONE!

 + -1 moreSTEVE CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT IT COST 20.00 TO PICK THE TV UP. HE GAVE ME A TIME FRAME AND PICK MY TV UP ON MONDAY 01/31/05. CALLED ME WHEN JOHN AND JIM GOT TO MY HOME. TOLD ME THE LABOR CHARGE WOULD BE 130.00 AND TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD TRY TO HAVE IT BACK BY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY. THE TV WAS READY ON 02/04/05 AND THEY DELIVERED MY FIXED TV ON SATURDAY 02/05/05. TOTAL COST 180.32 THEY EVEN HOOKED UP MY NEW DVD RECORDER. I WOULD RECOMMEND STEVE TV TO ANYONE. THANKS ANGIE'S LIST.
Description of Work: MY TV WOULD NOT TURN ON OR OFF. MY TV IS A 1994 30'' TOSHIBA AND I HATED TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE THE PICTURE PLAYED SO WELL.  + -1 moreIT TURNED OUT THAT SEVERAL PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, ONE WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO BE REBUILT AND THE UNIT TESTED TO SEE IF A MAJOR PART ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT WOULD HAVE COST APPROX $375 TO SEE IF THE SET ALSO NEEDED ANOTHER $320 PART. SO, WE CHOSE NOT TO REPAIR AND THEY DISPOSED OF THE SET. THE PEOPLE WE TALKED TO WERE VERY HELPFUL. WE MAY CHOOSE TO USE THEM TO PERFORM MAINTENANCE ON THE NEW TV WE PURCHASED.

 + -1 moreI MADE THE INITIAL CONTACT BY EMAIL WHICH I FOUND VERY HELPFUL. THE PHONE CONTACT WAS COURTEOUS AND THEY IMMEDIATELY SCHEDULED A VISIT. THEY EXPLAINED ALL THE COSTS THAT WOULD BE INVOLVED, DEPENDING ON WHERE THE PROBLEM MIGHT TURN OUT TO BE. TWO MEN CAME AND THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED QUICKLY AND THE CHARGE WAS EVEN LESS THAN THE ESTIMATE. ALTHOUGH THEY COULD HAVE PERSUADED ME TO DO MORE EXTENSIVE REPAIRS, THEY ADVISED AGAINST IT, SAYING IT WAS NOT NECESSARY. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY WERE A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH
Description of Work: POOR TV RECEPTION MADE US THINK OUR ANTENNA WAS THE PROBLEM. AS IT TURNED OUT, IT WAS THE CONNECTION OF THE ANTENNA TO THE TV THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AND IT WAS REPAIRED.
