 + -1 moreI was going to bring my 32" television in, but when I called, he asked me what was wrong and I explained. He told me to go find the "SAP" button on my remote. My son was able to find the button, and turned off the "SAP." That worked perfectly, and I have sound on all channels now. Everything works wonderfully now, and I am so pleased. I had used him in the past before his business moved, and he has always been extremely helpful and honest. I couldn't be happier with him, and he is the only television repair person I will use.
Description of Work: Several of my channels had no sound, although the picture was clear.

Description of Work: I called for driving directions before taking my TV to his shop for repair. I told him why I was coming and over the telephone he diagnosed the problem (he had seen it many times with same-brand sets) and he advised me to not fix the set, but to buy another set. (This means he did not get paid for providing his service.) He not only saved me a trip to his shop and paying a bill, but he advised me on a better set to purchase (he said I could get the same price he could give me at a store nearer to me.) I took his advice and am more than pleased with the set I bought. You can be sure that if I need reapir services in the future I will go only to him and I will also tell all my friends about the honest and generous treatment I received.

 + -1 moreVery prompt service. I chose to bring the TV in myself to avoid the home pick up charge. Deposit was $30 that went to the cost of servicing the set. Brought it in on Saturday towards closing and was finished on Monday.

 + -1 moreThey arrived on time and they were courteous. On one occasion they called and let us know before hand that they were going to be late. Also they told us before hand what the cost would be. They set our TV back up after the repair.

 + -1 moreSteve walked me through how to fix it on my own and it worked! I walked to the living room, picked up the clicker, and he walked me through it step by step. Everything is working right now. The problem was caused by two power outages in one week.

Description of Work: Made house call to determine problem with our 50" TV's inability to play DVD's. Determined that the TV was fine but the DVD player needed replaced.

 + -1 moreSteve's TV picked up the TV and gave me an estimate for the repair. This cost $20, which was deducted from the total cost of the repair and was well worth it to me to not have to deal with lugging about a 27'' TV. They had to order the part but were still able to have the TV repaired in just under 1 week. They delivered the TV and hooked it back up to the satellite, DVD player, etc. and made sure it worked. They even offered to give me a free loaner TV while mine was being repaired. I was very pleased with their service.
Description of Work: The TV had suddenly stopped working. I was told that the fly-back transformer had broken and needed to be replaced.

 + -1 moreEverything went fine. They gave me an estimate over the phone, which was exactly what they charged me. The were able to come right out and pick up the set (for an extra $20, which I thought was very reasonable, my set is a 36'' tube and it took 2 guys to handle it. I never could have gotten it in by myself). It was fixed and returned in 4 days, and they were very accommodating on delivery (they were able to call me when they were 15 minutes from my home, so I could meet them without wasting a lot of time). They were able to disconnect and reconnect all of the wiring, which was not easy, as my TV is in a cabinet with difficult access to the wiring. They fixed everything that was wrong, and they offer a 90 day warranty on the repair.
Description of Work: My TV had lost the color (chroma/video circuit), and also had intermittent problems with the vertical (it would collapse to a single line in the middle of the set). The main circuit board also needed overhauling.

 + -1 moreEXCELLENT! THE PHONE CONTACT WAS EXCELLENT, THEY WENT OVER THE SYMPTOMS OF WHAT THE TV DOES BEFORE BLACK OUT. THEY TOLD ME AN ESTIMATE, PICKED UP AND DELIVERED THE HUGE TV, REINSTALLED IT, AND CHECKED IT FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE LEAVING. NICE GUYS, THE BEST!

He gave me an approximate estimate, told me how difficult it may be to find the necessary part and advised me to purchase a new TV, which would be more economical than trying to repair my existing TV. I sincerely appreciated his honesty, and I will highly recommend their business and service to anyone!

 + -1 moreWe dropped off the units at the store and the man there was very friendly. He said they would call with an estimate. He did call in a couple of days and the estimate was reasonable so we said to go ahead with the work. They called the next day and said the work was done. There was a bit of confusion over the price quoted on the phone and what we were actually told the final price was. An agreement was made to split the difference, which was about $20. They said they would rather make their customers happy than have a dispute over a few dollars. We are very satisfied with the work and with the service. We would recommend this company.
Description of Work: They fixed a 27'' TV and a stereo amplifier, both of which had completely stopped working.

THEY WERE DILIGENT ABOUT CONTACTING ME. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE GUYS WHO CAME TO MY HOME WERE RESPECTFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE WERE VERY GRATEFUL THEY WERE DETERMINED TO FIX OUR OLDER TV AS ''THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THAT ANYMORE!'' WE THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.
Description of Work: WE HAD NO VIDEO SIGNAL ON THE TV. THEY HAULED THE HUGE UNIT TO THEIR SHOP. THEY FOUND 4 PARTS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY RETURNED IT FIXED, SET IT UP, RECONNECTED EVERYTHING AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WORKING CORRECTLY.
