I got this chimney sweep from the list as it was highly rated. Every aspect was smooth from setting up the appointment, to having the chimney sweep come (he arrived early and sat beside my driveway so that he would be exactly on time), to performing the cleaning, to cleaning up. I appreciated that he told me I did not need any further services at this time. And the coupon I had from Angie's List was honored without any problem. Just a pleasant encounter overall.

They arrived on time, did good work and interacted with me in a friendly and professional manner. Plus, I paid a special low rate available to Angie's List members. I could not ask for more.

He was very patient, respectful and professional. I had asked for help to learn to start a fire in the fireplace and he was very helpful

I used Gary for the first time last July based on his Angie's List recommendations and gave him a solid A then. We just bought a new house and had him come and inspect both chimneys and he was again the consummate professional. Gary was 15 min early for our appointed and despite cleaning chimneys being a messy job, didn't leave any dirt in the house. He made some adjustments to each chimney to assure a tighter damper fit as air was getting in due to poor installation when the house was built. He is going to come back out next week to install a special flue damper to address a significant updraft in the wood burning fireplace. Gary's quote of $75 to clean each chimney and $35 for the camera inspection of the wood burning fireplace was the final price I paid, though he did make some minor adjustments/repairs. I would absolutely use Gary again for all chimney needs. All contractors should be as easy to work with - nice guy who does a good job at a fair price!

It was hard to get them to come out. We changed the date several times. He was worried to about parking his truck on the street and whether he could get clsoeer. I explained that they need to clean up after wards. They did not seal the vents nor did they lay down tarps. I spent the next several days cleaning up material that was from blowing in a texture ceiling several years ago. It was not good experience. They did not clean thoroughly. I will not be using them again.

I called Gary on 12/3 and was able to get today's appointment. He called ahead of time as he said he would and even asked if he could come early which was great. He used a vacuum with an extended hose to clean the inside of the chimney and finished with cleaning and inspecting the fire box. I also asked him to inspect the condition of the interior chimney so he used a number of extension-type rods to get the video cam all the way up to the chimney cap. I was able to view the tv monitor as the video cam went all the way up and slowly back down. Gary and Pete were polite, easy to talk to and efficient. They cleaned up after the work was done and literally did not leave a trace of ash behind.

I called on Wednesday and spoke to Gary. He said he had an openning the next day. He arrived early and called me on my phone and I told him I would be there in a couple minutes. He was quick professional and offered suggestions about cap work.

A few days before the cleaning, Gary called to confirm the appointment. Then, shortly before arriving, he called again just to let me know he was en route. I appreciated being kept in the loop about the arrival time. When he and his partner arrived, they were very friendly and professional, and they quickly got to work. They were meticulous and thorough, using some sort of industrial vacuum to get at all the accumulated debris in our chimneys. Afterward, they cleaned everything up and put the screen and irons back in place. Gary pointed out that some of the masonry around one fireplace was loose and would soon begin to fall out. He recommended that we get an experienced mason due to the angle of the bricks.

Gary arrived on time. Completed the inspection, cleaned the fireplace and chimney without incident. He did not leave a mess and provided me with good information regarding my fireplace. Good experience.

I selected 2 top providers (close to 100% satisfaction) for quotes. Left message with one. Spoke directly to Gary at Prof Chimney. He asked how many fireplaces we had (one) and if there was an insert or stove (no), and was able to quote me $95 (less $20 coupon for Angie's List customer) for a net cost of $75. Since he was able to fit us in his schedule for Sunday at 2 pm, I firmed up the appointment. Gary arrived exactly at 2pm, laid down a number of tarps, and took about 1/2 hour to thoroughly clean not only the chimney but the entire fireplace (walls, bottom, and existing ashes), scraping and vacuuming. He told me we had a fair amount of creosote build up and told me it looked like we had 50-60 fires/year. That seemed high until I realized we must have skipped a year - he recommended we do it annually. I liked doing business with him - so much so that I told him I'd try to line up a couple of neighbors so he could clean a bunch together next year. He was in and out of here in record time, left the place spanking clean, and had the $75 job DONE before the OTHER company even called me back. Wonderful!

Gary arrived at the time he promised 2 days ago. Very professional. Job took about an hour and he left premises in great shape.

Gary Crispin (owner) did a fantastic job. He gave us a quote within a couple of days of my initial call. His estimate was the most comprehensive of those we received and it was very clear we were dealing with a professional. He completed the work within about a week once we accepted his bid. Gary was on time and did what he said he was going to do. We were very impressed and would not hesitate to use him again.

We recently had work done on our roof. The owner asked who repaired our chimney. He said that it was one of the best jobs he's seen. Evaluating G. Crispin's work was something we couldn't do ..but to have another professional comment about it unsolicited prompted us to confidently recommend him.

I called Gary on 7/20 and he had planned on coming the following day, but a change in his schedule permitted him to come that same day in the afternoon. He had provided a verbal estimate over the phone to replace the caps and his fee was the same as his estimate. Gary was incredibly responsive, professional and helpful in providing insights on the overall health of our chimney, potential need and timeline for future repairs, etc. I would absolutely use him again for any chimney needs.

Gary stopped by to review the chimney, then returned to perform the service when he had assistance (he needed to use a 40 foot ladder and needed someone to hold it). He nailed the metal into place, and was out of there in 30 minutes. He understood that we needed it done quickly, and returned within a day to take care of it.

One gentleman came out and cleaned the fireplace, chimney. He went up with a long camera to see what was going on with the chimney. The fireplace seems to be in good condition, but warned us of another issue with the fireplace. His estimate was exactly what we paid. He did not push us to get more service done. He was very clean, especially for the nature for the work.

Gary was on time, professional, and cleaned up everything. He spent a few hours on our gutters, and then came inside and cleaned our chimney. He was very nice and professional and did not leave any dirt in the house from the chimney cleaning.

He was polite, professional, honest and respectful. Gary came on time for the estimate and when he performed the work. My mom is elderly and he answered all of her questions no matter what she asked. We have two fireplaces and have been living in the home approximately 20 years and Gary checked the flues, closed one and tried to close the other but it was stuck after all these years. From the ground the work looks well done. I believe you can trust him. God bless him.

After sending the company an email requesting an appointment for an estimate ( at about 8pm) I received a phone call within minutes to discuss my concerns and set up an appointment. He showed up on time on a cold rainy day to get up on my roof and check things out. He gave me a great price for the work on the small chimney but the rebuild on the larger chimney was a larger project then he expected. I would definitely use this company for any future needs.

Chimney now draws smoke up much better. Gary answered my message within an hour, gave me a price over the phone for cleaning and for scanning (with a 5% senior discount. I chose cleaning only), and promptly called my mother to arrange a time to get the work done. We weren't in a rush, but the chimney was cleaned 3 days later. I'm very happy with Gary's promptness, follow-up, and work done.

I called this company for a second opinion after I had my chimneys cleaned and inspected. He did not get out as quickly as first stated but when I called again he was right out and did the work promptly. His price was less than half the original estimate! I am very glad I called him!

It took a whole day to do it. The price was good as the other company charged me double for the same work.

Gary was easy to work with, on time, and polite.

When my furnace was replaced, the company suggested getting a new 8x8 chimney cap. Gary quoted $100. He called prior to the installation and arrived promptly. It turned out I needed an 8x12 cap. Gary came prepared with that size, and installed it at no additional charge. I was very pleased.
