Went great! Gary thoroughly inspected and swept each chimney. Showed up on time. Provided advise on how to run each fireplace properly. Would not hesitate to hire again.

Gary returned my calls immediately. He came on the day and at the time we scheduled. He explained everything that he was doing. we would hire him again.

I called and talked to the owner and what a nice, professional, and pleasant person! We discussed my problem and he was so honest and said that the work that I needed done he did not do. He gave me some ideas as to where to look for experts and I totally appreciated his help. In the future, if I am in need of his services, I will certainly call him. I wish more contractors were like him.

We were very happy with Gary and his team. They were able to come out quickly and thoroughly clean and inspect our chimney and gas log. They spread a drop cloth and left the house very clean.

Contacted Gary to have chimney serviced because my carbon monoxide alarm went off while using my wood burning fireplace. We discussed chimney cleaning services: he'd clean liner with pole brush, clean fire box, camera inspection of liner to check clay tile and mortar joints that liner is all intact. I asked about checking furnace chimney also. Gary sent Pete next day to do the job. Pete advised camera pole could not reach to top of chimney, and had no ladders; Gary has them. On computer monitor he brought, camera revealed Creosote problem in chimney. Therefore flue tile could not be inspected until Creosote is removed. Gary could remove Creosote for an additional $275! Questioned Pete about the other chimney for furnace; and I was told he doesn't do that, I should ask my furnace guy to do that. Discussed with Gary I didn't get the service we discussed on Friday evening 1/22/21. I don't think I should have to spend another $275 for a service I already paid $160 for. He said he didn't know I would have a Creosote problem before coming to my home. This should have been mentioned before services were performed. Gary hung up on me so I cancelled the check. A week later Pete called me and threatened I'd be sued for the $160 plus legal fees which would end up costing me $1,000 now. I shouldn’t have signed their paperwork if I wasn’t satisfied with service. Either send a check for $160 or else I'm being sued, hire a lawyer. I then sent a check for $160 directly to Gary. Now I need to hire another chimney cleaning service to finish this job. I need to feel safe using my fireplace. In my opinion, this work is not completed and would like to alert consumers of doing business with this company. This company does not negotiate with customers if service is unsatisfactory; they don’t care once they have your money. Ask questions and understand the service to be performed BEFORE you agree to let them come into your home. Ask is removing CREOSOTE if included in the initial cost? I experienced, it is not! Be prepared to spend another $275.

Gary and Ty did a great job! We just moved into our house, and had no idea the last time the chimney had been cleaned. We've never owned a fireplace before, and they walked us through everything. When they were done cleaning, they showed us the creosote buildup that we still had because of the old owners not servicing it properly, and priced out how to clean it and get it fixed. We also were able to see that we are missing a tile at the top because of their little camera that they put up there, and that was also priced out to fix it for us when we are able to. They were both very nice, very informative (who knew we had a little ash door under the fireplace!) and told us how the flue worked (and put it back on the track it had come off of) and were very tidy even with all that chimney dust. They answered all of our questions and were very accommodating. When we have it cleaned, serviced and repaired, we'll be back with Gary and his guys.

This is an addendum to my original review. I PAID $200 for the inside and outside of the chimney to be inspected. (I have the check). Gary now refuses to come out because I gave him a bad review after having to call twice to remind him of the outside inspection as he kept losing my address. Yes, I called at 5:30 a.m. I apologized because I was expecting to leave a message. The outside inspection is why I called in the first place. It's unfortunate that Gary was hospitalized although if he or one of his helpers had called me, it would have helped this situation.

Arrived promptly for flue inspection on August 26. They put a camera up the chimney and showed me the images. It was raining and they stated that they would be back to check exterior of the chimney. I paid for the services. Several days later, I called about the exterior inspection. Took my address again and said that someone would be out. Called AGAIN on September 30. Took my address again and said that they would be out on Thursday. I shouldn't have to call a company twice for them to finish the job that they have been paid for.

Peter was courteous and thorough when cleaning our chimney. He gave us a thorough inspection and explained the process to us as well as advised us how to maintain a healthy chimney and fireplace. They are very professional and prompt. We are going to definintely hire Peter and Gary again.

We had two chimneys cleaned and inspected in our new home. I've never owned a home with wood-burning fireplaces, so I had a lot of questions about cleaning, maintenance, and regular usage. It was helpful to see the camera images of the condition of the chimney. I learned that one of our chimneys has some flue tile weathering and eventually it could use a chimney liner. The other chimney has creosote build-up, and we were advised to use a spray on the wood we burn to help with this, plus we should consider de-glazing the creosote. Peter was very informative and friendly, and I was happy with his clean-up. The whole process took about 2 hours. I plan on continuing with Professional Chimney for our regular cleanings.

Gary was the only available chimney sweep within a two month window! He responded quickly to my voicemail and set up a weekend morning appointment just 4 days after the initial call. He was timely and thorough! I will certainly be calling him again next year.

It went OK. He arrived when he said he would. Set up and swept the chimney and informed me of some potential issues and how to correct them. However after he left I put my hand up the flu to check the smoke shelf and realized it wasn't cleaned or vacuumed. I call back and he was already on the way to the next job. They came out a few days later to clean the smoke shelf. Another day and time I had to made sure I was at home.

It took 2-3 days for them to return my call only to tell me that he would have his associate call me back to schedule the visit. His associate never called. If this is how responsive they are BEFORE the job, I can only imagine how slow they would respond AFTER the job was completed and there was a warranty issue.

I had the mortar coming loose and falling out from the chimney for my heater/water heater. I first had quoted another company on Angie's List but the price to repair it was ridiculous (several thousand dollars and pushing lots of unnecessary extras). So I contacted Professional Chimney Service and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the quote was. Also, the owner Gary was super responsive and had someone out to do the repair within 3 days. They did a fantastic job on the repair and even came out again a couple days later to fix a leak around my fireplace chimney that they noticed while working on the other job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for chimney repairs.

He was thorough and used a camera and laptop to inspect his work. He showed me the inside of the chimney via the camera and its' condition which was helpful. He covered the area where he was working with tarps to prevent a mess. He also gave me some pointers on maintenance. I was very pleased with his work.
