Very Professional - Excellent Service and Cleanliness.

Scheduled appointment at last minute for work before the holiday. He arrived on time, gave me a clear report on condition and repairs that should be made before use, then agreed to return on Sunday to complete the work in time for my family dinner the following day. The work was completed in a professional manner, and area left clean.

My furnace stopped working Sunday night, Dec 30. I called Dana at Cleveland Comfort Solutions(also an Angiie's List Provider). He is my "go to" man for my furnace service Even though it was a holiday weekend & he was not feeling well, Dana came right over to see if he could fix the furnace as it was very cold. He determined the problem was not the actual furnace, but was caused by a blockage in my chimney. When he removed a couple of the flue pipes, debri came falling out. For safety reasons, we also had to shut down the water heater. Dana said I needed to get the chimney cleaned ASAP. So here I am on New Years Eve Day in a 48 degree house trying to get someone to come out to clean my chimney so I could have heat & hot water. Was also worried about pipes freezing if not fixed. I printed the list of chimney cleaners from Angies List & started calling. As this was the Holiday, I realized my chances were slim. I did receive callbacks but no one was able to come out the same day. It is now early afternoon & I am very discouraged & wondering what to do. My phone rings & it is Gary Crispin from Professional Chimney & Air Duct Service calling me back! I explained the situation to Gary & told him how discouraged I was. Although Gary was on a job in Bainbridge & had New Years plans, he agreed to come to Parma & take a look at my chimney. Gary cleared the blockage, cleaned the chimney & inspected it with a video camera to make sure he got all the debris. He was friendly, professional & cleaned up his work area. Gary even offered to stay & hook up the flue pipes. Fortunately I was able to reach Dana so Gary did not need to stay. I am very grateful to Gary for his concern & willingness to help me out in a very stressful situation. Will definitely use his company again & recommend him to anyone needing chimney & air duct services.

We set up an appointment fairly quickly. They were on time. They protected the rug and area surrounding the fireplace from soot and dirt. They swept and inspected the chimney which we have not used in over 10 years. Everything looked good.

This company did a very good job. The owner of the company and assistant did the work together. They covered our furniture before cleaning and afterwards showed us via video camera the interior of our chimney and what to expect in the coming years with the structure. Excellent work.

The overall experience was very good. Protective care was given to the area around the chimney. New tarps were used in my home and shoes were removed.

They arrived early, were courteous and kept me informed through all stages of the cleaning. Provided me with a detailed summary of what was performed and gave me a heads up of possible follow up needed. I will contact them in the future for those follow ups.

He arrived on time, brought his gear in, did the job, presented an estimate for work that should be done to improve the safety of our chimney (installation of a flue at the top), and was done in 1.5 hours without a smudge.

I was told nothing else needed to be done except put on a chimney cap, which we did not have. They offered to do it but also told me it would be less expensive to buy one and install it myself if I was inclined to do that. I contacted Gary and received a prompt response by phone. Gary was able to come within a few days and ended up coming earlier than we initially planned which worked well for me. He arrived and gave me his card right away. He then brought in his gear and removed his shoes (it was a snowy day). He protected the area around the chimney including our couch with material. He got right to work and used a shop vac to keep the area clean. He showed me how to use our damper since it is not working properly and told me it would need to be replaced within a few years. After cleaning the chimney he inspected it with a video camera and tv. He also showed me what he could see. When he was done he packed up his things and gave me a receipt.

Multiple protective layers of protection were put down to protect my carpet and furniture from being soiled. The entire process of cleaning the chimney took about an hour and I was very pleased with the result. I would hire this contractor again.

It's a good thing I bought this special; there could have been a house fire without it! Professional Chimney & Air Duct Service made an appointment exactly when I asked for, and came right on time. He covered everything with canvases and started working on the fireplace that had not been used in nearly 20 years. He suggested that for $60 I add a camera inspection that we could view right on the spot. It's a good thing we did...the pictures reveled missing and broken tiles all over, especially in the bottom half of the chimney shaft. If we had used the fireplace, as we had intended to do this winter, there was a strong possibility of a house fire. He explained thoroughly what we were looking at via the TV screen and discussed options. I was told that a professional repair (by another company) would be quite costly. Since we've been without the fireplace for this long, I'm in no hurry to do the repairs. But I can't believe how close we came to a dangerous situation. Everything was completed promptly and cleaned up completely. I highly recommend Professional Chimney for both his work that day and his careful explanations, and strongly urge any homeowner who has not had a chimney check in recent years to do so -- and get that camera inspection!

They came to clean the chimney from the flue in the basement. Upon inspection that was not possible (due to inside layout) so they had to work from outside and from the top. Also installed a new cap.

They swept the chimney and vacuumed afterward, leaving it clean.
