Professional Chimney Service Inc

The service provider returned my calls promptly. Setup an appointment according to my schedule and called one day in advance to remind me of the appointment. The service did not include cleaning the creosote from the walls of the chimney but the provider recommended a product to use on our own.

Gary the owner is very nice and polite. Great care was taking in keeping the work area clean, even removing his shoes. I was going to get the video service for an extra charge, upon visual inspection he said video was not needed. Now thats integrity. He didnt try getting extra money out of me... Thanks again

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were really good. They were very thorough, they were on time, and pleasant. They put things on their shoes so they didn't track stuff in my house. They did the camera thing which was an additional cost but it was minimal. It couldn't have been more than $50. They were excellent! I would highly recommend them and I'm not a person who recommends people and things.

It was wonderful. They were professional. They did the work quickly. They also cleaned up nicely. It took them about 30 minutes from start to finish. The owner came out and brought an assistant and helped to get the video equipment prepaired to look up the chimney. After I purchased the Big Deal, they called me quickly and we set up an appointment. They also showed up on time. I was very happy with them and their service that I will be using them again in the future.

The vendor was quick to respond to my purchase, which was a special offer through Angie's List. He returned my call promptly and scheduled a time to do the work. They arrived promptly, moved some furniture out of the way of the fireplace, put down a tarp and cleaned the chimney. After completing the work, they put everything back in place. Very neat and tidy! While he offered me an additional service of a chimney inspection, there was no high pressure and he was fine with me saying no thank you.

They were fast, on-time and good at their work. My only request would be that the camera inspection be recorded so i could refer to it later. This was NOT a deficiency on their part at all. I just think it would be a value added service I'd have paid for if it was available. Overall, very pleased with the deal.

They were scheduled to arrive at 11:30 AM, but called a little before 11 to ask if they could come early. That was OK, so they arrived shortly after 11 AM. They carried in a tarp, and spread it out over the entire area in front of the fireplace. Then, they carried in all their equipment. They thoroughly cleaned both the fireplace and the chimney, taking about 20 minutes. After the chimney was clean, they connected the video camera to their TV, and showed the entire video of the interior of our chimney. There was a slight build-up of creosote, which does not respond to a standard chimney cleaning. (The tar-like substance can build up and eventually become a fire hazard.) They shared their knowledge with us, and informed us that although they can perform the chemical cleaning that removes the creosote, it is an expensive procedure. We appreciated that they recommend an alternative method, which involves purchasing a spray or a powder (easily found online) that is applied to wood before burning. During the combustion process, the chemicals in the spray or powder are activated, and convert the tar-like creosote to a powder. We're pleased with their thoroughness, and especially appreciated their honesty in informing us of the DIY method to deal with the creosote. We would use them again when the fireplace and chimney need cleaning.

I bought the Big Deal on Angie's list for a chimney sweep/cleaning. Gary, the owner, called me the next day and we set up an appointment. He also asked if I was interested in the inspection and told me what the price would be. Gary and his associate showed up early, after calling ahead of time to say they were running ahead of schedule and asked if it would be OK to come early. They quickly set up a big tarp to protect the carpet, brought in their equipment and went to work. When the cleaning was done, Gary reviewed his findings with me (how dirty it was, etc.), and then with the video camera showed me how he inspected the chimney. Gary was professional, polite, and thorough. I would recommend this company to anyone and I plan on using them again.

The two gentlemen who came to sweep our chimney communicated by phone that they were on their way, arrived on time, and were friendly and respectful. They were careful to keep our living room furniture completely clean and free from ash or debris, and they worked quickly and quietly. After the chimney sweep and inspection they discussed the results with us and were patient and informative, staying to answer all the questions that we had about our chimney. I was never uncomfortable having them in the house and the entire process was quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive. Excellent service, we plan to use this company again.

Gary and his helper arrived right on time as scheduled. They immediately started setting up and covering the floor with a drop cloth. The cleaning went rather quickly. Gary provided a itemized list of what he had done and what he noticed that needed to be repaired. Overall very professional.

He was on time. He did take precaution on my white carpet. He opened a NEw tarp for my carpet near the fireplace. Had a problem opening the flute. Husband helped. I have a gas fireplace. Fireplace was good . Camera didnt work to well. Must be some loose cable which he can fix later. Since it didnt, he didnt charge which was good. Honest guy and will used again in the future.Ol

Cleaning was done in good time without making a mess around the hearth or in the house. Video inspection reveal creasote build-up and a spot where some filling for the gap was recommended.

Everything wend great. Would highly recommend. I have never had a fireplace before and he was very helpful and knowledgable.

He stated that our chimney needed to be replaced. He said that our fireplace was okay to used, however when I used it there was a lot of smoke. Called Gary, he told me that my chimney needed to be higher. He gave us a bunch of run-a-rounds. Emailed to ask him to fix this, but has not responded.

I purchased an Angie's List Bid Deal for a Chimney Sweep and also added a video inspection for 50. Gary was very professional; he called the night before to confirm and arrived promptly for the appointment. He and his assistant did a great job of keeping the soot contained on their tarps and not leaving any after their clean-up. Gary showed my the chimney using the video camera and when he found an issue, he thoroughly explained the problem and left me an estimate. I will definitely be calling Gary in the future for our chimney sweeping.

Gary came in and was able to clean and inspect right from the inside. He was very careful to make the least amount of mess and cleaned up after himself. We bought an old house a couple of winters ago and haven't ever used the fireplaces as we saw signs they needed a though cleaning for safety's sake first. We sent an email with suggested dates for the service and they responded right away. We set up the appointment and asked they call when on the way and they did so. Everything was right on schedule and done quickly. Now we are confident the one in the living room is safe to enjoy and know what needs done to the basement one. Great deal on Angie list plus a bit extra for the video inspection we wanted were well worth it to have peace of mind and a clean flue. I recommend this service and Gary himself.

Gary was very courteous and prompt. Due to a cancellation, he was able to get to us very quickly. He and his assistant did a great job of keeping the soot contained on their tarps and not leaving any after their clean-up. He even used his shop vac to clean up a planter I dumped when he arrived at the house. I was worried about the basement fireplace, given the home inspector couldn't visualize the whole chimney due to an angle. Gary showed me both chimneys with the video camera. He also was generous with his experience and knowledge for new fireplace owners. We really appreciate it. We will definitely be calling Gary in the future for our chimney sweeping.

I purchased it as a housewarming gift for my sister and it seemed to go pretty well. She hasn't complained about it. She had a positive response towards it. She said they were very thorough. They fitted into her schedule.
