Great video inspected the chimney

They were very nice people. They are a professional chimney cleaning service. He broke down the estimate into a lot of little parts and it totaled $1,200. He was pleasant and nice when he was here. We wasn't an upseller and it was work that needed to be done because it was a house built in the 80's. He didn't set an appointment so it was loose, which was fine with me because I wasn't in a rush. He said he would stop by and I didn't have to be here but I was here. He was accommodating and worked around me. He wasn't pushy and he only asked that I let him know, which was fair. I haven't gotten my other quotes yet. He quoted me a price on the phone for a damper and it was more than fair. He brought out his 40 foot ladder and climbed up to look at everything. He was very professional.

Gary and his assistant arrived on time and went right to work. Upon inspection of fireplace in living room he found a portion of smoke shelf that was damaged, which he showed me on his monitor so I could see for myself. The repair was done within a week of initial inspection and the price was very reasonable. I have since hired him for other repairs such as gutter cleaning and repair of chimney cap.

the video equipment was from the early 80's, didn't work correctly and we didn't get a copy of what the chimney scope recorded. the chimney wasn't that dirty but he cleaned what soot was there. he told us he doesn't work on the bricks that needed shored up. in the write up about the company it stated it was full service and did do masonry work. When we asked for a reference on who does do masonry he couldn't give us one. he was messy and covered the basement with dirty sheets that made more soot then before he got there, which he didn't clean.

It was fine and they did what they were supposed to do. They sent 2 people out to do the job. They got the job done in about 2 hours. They were quick and efficient. The scheduling worked out pretty well and they were able to accommodate our schedule.

They did a good job. I would recommend them to other people. They came out and did what they were supposed to and took care of the problem. The price was real fair. I did have the do a little more work because I had them mold a rain proof cover on top of the chimney to keep the birds from getting in. That cost me a little bit more but he did a good job. I was happy with everything.

Gary arrived on time and was very courteous. As others mentioned, he took care in the area around the fireplace to ensure no mess was left over after he was finished. He provided thorough explanations and answered all the questions I had for him. Overall the experience lived up to expectations and I would use him again in the future.

Very professional, covered nearly everything before starting. They showed us how to work the damper since we just moved into the house and talked us through the video and a small crack in one of the chimneys. Also - one of the chimneys had rarely been used/cleaned by the previous owners so when they opened the flu, 5-10 lbs of soot fell and created a huge puff of smoke in the house and all over the walls. They apologized profusely and said they had never seen anything like it. They vacuumed all uncovered areas and helped us wipe everything down. Our freshly painted walls still have streaks, unfortunately, but they said there was nothing they could have done about it. I would still recommend their services. The only reason I gave them a B on quality was because maybe it was possible for them to take precautions to prevent the fallen soot from flying out into our living room. Maybe keeping a tarp close by when opening the flu to throw over the soot once it fell could have helped, but I'm not sure.

The crew worked hard and fast. They made no mess at all while cleaning my fireplace which was very dirty! Helpful, too!

No residue was left inside the room. We were very pleased with their efficiency and would recommend them to others.
