Description of Work: Two men arrived on time, covered area around fireplace and thoroughly cleaned the chimney. After cleaning a camera was sent up the chimney and inspected for any cracks or problems. Very well done and they had me look at the camera feed and discussed multiple options for future repairs/maintenance.

Description of Work: For $139.00 you'd expect more than 25 minutes of service, 15 of which was set up and break down of equipment. Owner Gary Crispin quickly showed me, through a small TV, my chimney was in fairly good shape. A small amount of caulk was needed and for $139 you'd think he would have some on his truck. Not the case (allegedly). It's not like I needed major mortar work, a small amount of caulk (sealant) was all I needed. After 25 minutes of set-up/break down and a little analysis, I felt I definitely did not get my money's worth.

My partner and I did a thorough cleaning and camera inspection which took a minimum of 45 minutes. After the cleaning and inspection I showed the customer how to properly use the fireplace and damper. At no time did the customer express any dissatisfaction in which the manner the work was performed. I do not always carry fireplace mortar during the cold weather because the mortar hardens in my truck. If I have a fireplace repair schedule, I do have the mortar with me.

Description of Work: They did a chimney cleaning and video camera inspection. We've never had this done before (first time in a house with a fireplace) so I don't know what to compare it to. It seemed like they did a good job, and they were professional. I watched the video monitor while he was doing the inspection so I saw that we didn't have any problems. It's good to know it will be safe to light a fire this winter.
