Dave's Handyman Service

I was very impressed. He returned my call promptly, he scheduled the service for the next day. He arrived at scheduled time, and finished the work in less than an hour. He was very courteous, and knowledgeable. Brought his own tools, cleaned up when finished. We are now thinking about replacing more fixtures in the house because this project went so well.

Dave showed up on time and provided a quote. His price was reasonable so I scheduled the work to be done. Dave was timely and professional. The work was very high quality. I would highly recommend and will use again as we prepare our house to go on the market.

The price he quoted me was $250. He was not reliable because he gave me a bid, but stopped communicating with me. I found him to be rude and I will not use him again or get an estimate.

He was professional. He had professional paper work. He seemed to be prompt and very talented. I thought his price was a little high but I was not sure as I was not aware of what other service providers charged. My daughter used his services as well and would probably be using him in future as well.

They could not come on the day promised but did come the following day. Fast , good work. Covered nearly everything to catch the drywall dust. Would have been even better if they had vacumned the areas that the tarps could not cover. Overall, very pleased.

I called the phone listed here late in the evening. Dave called us the next day. He offered several choices when he could be available to come to see the work and estimate. We agreed to a time and date, and as agreed Dave arrived, assessed the job, wrote the estimate, and we agreed to set a date in the next week. When the agreed date to perform the work came... Dave arrived about 15 minutes before we agreed, and he started work on time. Dave and his partner needed the two hours he had estimated to complete the work. Both of them were professional in appearance, polite in manner, and knowledgeable. They came with all necessary tools and materials they needed to complete the work. In order to properly complete the work it was necessary to remove the wood trim all around the door. When the trim was replaced, Dave filled all of the nail holes and it looks like it was never removed. Both doors are now operating perfectly. Dave explained that the original builder had used nails rather than screws, and had failed to place either in sufficient quantity to hold the two heavy doors in place. Now both doors close and latch with a gentle click, exactly as one would want them to do. Dave assured me that the doors would certainly stay aligned where they should for many years to come. From what I can see, and based upon the confidence he built; I believe. Do I need to say, I trust, and recommend them highly.

This was a small world experience. My son lives in the house where the the remodel took place and I had sent him the contact information for Dave's Handyman Service (Dave Williamson) and instructed him to call him for an estimate. Shortly thereafter, my son was a a brewer's supply store and saw this guy with a "Dave's Handyman Service" shirt. He asked him if y any chance he was Dave Williamson and he replied 'Yes". My son mentioned that he was supposed to call him for an estimate. They discussed home-brewed beer brewing (both are involved in doing this) and he set up an apointment for an estimate. Dave showed up at the appointed time and gave an estimate to my son, which he relayed to me. I found it a reasonable estimate and told him to proceed. My son and Dave coordinated the work and verything went well. We even had Dave give us an estimate on some future work that we have not decided to do yet, but if we do we will definately use Dave.

Dave responded to phone calls immediately and came out and gave us an estimate the same day we initially called. He was very helpful and offered good suggestions. He reworked his schedule to get the project done quickly and conveniently for me. Dave was quite a perfectionist and fixed things he probably didn't need to for the best finished project. We will definitely be using him again

Dave and Ryan were very professional from start to finish. Both came into the house and worked hard each day that they were here and we felt very comfortable talking to them and asking questions. Any question we had was answered fully and truthfully. After Dave gave us an estimate (which was very close), we had them do replace the old drywall and lay down new ceramic tiles. They treated our house like it was theirs and took very good care of our belongings. What I liked about these guys was the fact that they did not cut any corners. Before performing any repairs they removed everything from the bathrooms including the vanities and toilets. This was a great as it showed their professionalism. Some contractors just want to tile up to the vanity without removing it. What happens when you replace the vanity? The tile is not going to match up properly and then you are stuck. These guys were great and I would recommend them to any of my family and friends.

Both men were nothing but professional and kind. I would call Dave again without hesitation!

Dave showed up exactly when he said he would be there. We went over everything involved and then he began the work. When he left the house both days everything was cleaned up. He returned to remove the bracing exactly when he said he would be there. No surprises. They were professional, articulate and competent. I will definitely use their handyman services again and recommend them to others.

Did a nice job with the electrical, drywall and plumbing tasks. I will use Dave again. Fair and honest, as well as skilled. I appreciated his help.

Went very well - Dave responded quickly to my calls and had the job done quickly and effectively

We were moving into a new house and had several projects that we needed done. We expected to have to contract several different people. We actually got in touch with Dave because he is listed as a locksmith in Angie's List. He is not really a locksmith. However, we are so happy we found him. Dave is a handyman that can do just about anything. The home had some water damage in the ceiling that included damage to stained wood. Dave repaired the ceiling drywall as well as sanding the wood and matching the stain so that it is perfect. He also re-screened a front porch, made our front door open smoothly, and removed shelving from a closet. We have him coming for more projects soon. Very professional and highly recommended.

Overall a great job and a nice guy, I felt like I could trust him!

The remodeling work took several sessions of partial days. Dave completed the job in a timely manner and worked with my schedule for access to the house. I had no extra tiles, so Dave was very careful in applying the tiles so as not to damage any. I was very pleased with the way the room looked after he completed the work.

The service was fine and he did a fine job. The thing is, he would have left it the wrong way if I hadn?t said something. The clip that holds the door together was broken and I told him that I didn?t like that so he suggested I replace it. I didn?t want the door to keep swinging out and he would have left it that way if I hadn?t said something. He fixed it in the end but I wanted him to do it the right way the first time and I expect him to do that. I would try someone else before I'd call him back.

These were small but important jobs since I could no longer lock my back door. I got his name from Angie's list and was very satisfied with his work and professionalism.

Dave arrived even ahead of schedule, took his time to look around the exterior of the house to see how mouse might have entered, had brought traps with him, and set them.

Overall, we were satisfied with their work. We will use them again in the future.

It went good. Dave is responsive to your call and tells you up front the costs and time frame. He seems to be able to do most small jobs. I was just happy to get someone to finish the jobs that a contractor many years ago did not finish. Plus, I now have floor boards in all my non-bedroom areas.

First visit, Dave replaced the 4 light fixtures. He told me how to remove wallpaper and also that removing wallpaper was a project he could do. I decided to remove the wallpaper myself but damaged the wall surface in the process. Dave's second visit, he repaired the wall surfaces where necessary so they were ready for painting. He also completed other repairs/projects agreed upon in the written proposal. Dave does quality work and I would recommend him to anyone. I will contact him about any future projects I have.

Great service; helpful advice & information.

He came quickly to give a quote and the price was higher than average I would think ($50/hr), but I am willing to pay for quality work. He forgot to include a portion of the work that I asked for in his estimate, so when he was finished, the price was higher than I expected. However, he was careful to explain why he took longer than he quoted (added work) and I accepted his rationale. His work was top notch and he did exactly what I asked of him to do.

I just think that he is such a help and is very creative. He does very good work and I usually have him come about three or four times a year. He is just such a help and I really appreciate him.
