Description of Work: I used Northcoast to move the contents of my one bedroom apartment into a storage unit when I was crunched for time (going out of the country) and didn't want to lug everything by myself or beg friends to help me. Someone came out for a free estimate a week or two in advance and recommended the number of movers he thought I'd need, how long it would take, and even recommended what size storage locker I should rent. On the day of the move, the three-person crew was prompt and friendly, and handled all of my furniture and boxes with respect and care, which was really important to me because I had a lot of fragile antiques and ceramic items boxed up and vintage furniture. The crew was excellent, and everyone introduced themselves to me right away upon arrival. (I wish I could remember their names! I think it was Norm, John, and Calvin.) My apartment was on the back of the lot, so they weren't able to pull the truck up very close. I thought it might be a hinderance time-wise, but it wasn't at all! The crew got everything out in about 1 - 1 1/2 hours, much quicker than expected, and then unloaded and stacked everything into my storage unit in less than an hour! My total cost (and the time it took to complete the move) came in at just about half of the amount that I was quoted in the estimate, which was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. However, the cost of the estimate almost forced me to abandon my plans to use the movers, so it might not have worked out as well as it did. Regardless, I would definitely use Northcoast Movers again -- perhaps when I move out of my storage unit -- and will recommend their service to others. Thanks Northcoast!

Description of Work: We hired Northcoast Movers to help with our move from an apartment into a house on the East Side. They arrived on time, were very courteous, were careful with our belongings, and just did a fabulous job from start to finish.

Description of Work: The company was very professional and worked well as a team. The day that I moved was very hot so they did the best that they could considering the weather conditions. They were fast and efficient. I had a diamond heart shaped pendant for my necklace that I dropped on the floor of my bedroom the day before I moved. I have yet to find it. I was so angry about this and knew if I called to report this no one would know what I was talking about. I also felt that it was too expensive.
