Our dishwasher overflowed water into our basement one evening. We called Allied Appliance and Matt returned our call promptly. He arrived the next day and spent about 45 minutes investigating the dishwasher, but found nothing wrong. He ran the wash cycle and everything was fine. Matt said he would wait 10 days to send an invoice incase the problem reoccurred. The machine worked fine for several days more, then after washing the dishes, we opened the door and found the dirty water had not drained. Matt returned the following day and took apart the hose and found a piece of plastic lodged deep in the drain. He removed the obstruction and this fixed the problem and the dishwasher works fine. Matt was very responsive, prompt and professional, I would highly recommend the services of Allied Appliance Maintenance.

I called at 8:30 am and he was able to come at 9:30. Very punctual and professional. Besides he repair, he cleaned out the inner tub and noticed a part that was loose. He replaced the part and checked out all cycles of the machine. I will recommend him to anybody and he will remain on the top of my call list.

Allied Appliance Maintenance is a family owned business and has been servicing appliances in this area for three generations. Provider was friendly and very professional. Arrived on time and after I explained what was happening, checked the icemaker unit and removed it. Had parts on his truck and installed a new one. Checked the new one to make sure it was functioning properly once it was installed. Took the time also to replace a light bulb in the freezer that I didn't even know was burned out and removed the container for the ice and washed it and dried it before putting it back in the freezer and starting the ice maker. The entire service call was less than an hour. Once again, Angie's List has led me to a provider that I would use again and recommend to my friends and neighbors.

They were knowledgeable, friendly, and responded quickly. They show up on time, and charge a great price.

Overall, they were very good. They were honest and upfront about everything. They were extremely forthright about what the issue was. They did not charge me any unnecessary fees. The pricing was very fair.

I cleaned out the valve and the washing machine works perfectly. He told me that if I couldn't get it figured out to give him a call back and he would be able assist me further.

This service call was for one of my occupied rental units. Matt returned my call promptly and was able to schedule a service call for the next day. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem (gas oven ignitor). Picked-up the part and installed the next day. Cost was reasonable...what I expected.

I called Matt late in the afternoon to tell him my washer would not spin. He called me back almost immediately and told me what the problem was. He was here the very next morning. After moving the washer, he gave me time to clean up underneath which was quite dirty after so many years of the washer being in the same spot for so long. He also stayed to make sure everything was working correctly after he replaced the needed part. I have never had to call him back a second time for the same repair. He has repaired all of my appliances, ovens, refridgerators, dishwasher (which was still under warranty and did not charge me for the parts) He is a very honest person. He is the BEST!!!

Although I did not use Allied Appliance Maintenance for any service, I would recommend them based on a single phone call. I called to discuss a service call for a washing machine that had failed. I left a voice mail describing the issue and Matt was able to diagnose the problem based on my description. He also gave an estimate of the repair cost and was honest enough to inform me that this was a repair that was not worth making relative to the cost to replace the washing machine with a new one. If this conversation is an indication of Matt's integrity and honesty when dealing with a repair call that comes to fruition I would have zero concern over using Allied for a repair.

I called and spoke to Matt on a Monday. I explained to him the problem I was having and he told me it was probably the fuse and that it unfortunately very common problem with Whirlpool ovens. He set up appt for 2 days later and told me the cost of the fuse was approx $50-$60. He showed up on time, even called when he was on his way. When he arrivied he ran into a problem getting stainless molding off the the sides of the oven. Apparently the builder put in extra screws which didn't alllow the molding to come off as it should have. He spent about an hour trying to get this molding off before he could even look at the oven. After about 45 mins I suggested he just rip it off!! He was patient and tried everything imaginable and he finally got molding off. He proceeded to replace fuse and put in extra insulation( took about 15 mins max) . He tested out oven to make sure it was heating properly and was on his way. He didn't charge me for the full 90+ mins he was here. I would def call him again for any appliance work we may need!

Matt did a great job. I called him on Monday, and by Tuesday he had fixed a problem with our Dryer. He even had the replacement part with him, so we did not have to wait for him to order the part.

The oven in our 13 year old Maytag range wouldn't light. I called Allied on the 25th and left a message. Matt returned my call the same day. Matt said he could be out the next day and made an appointment. On the 26th I received a call from his office and was told that Matt had over booked himself but would send another tech out to fix the range, I said that was fine. John arrived in the morning and diagnosed the problem as the oven igniter which he replaced. John also tested the heat temp and found that the dial was a little off but said it would take some additional time to recalibrate and he would have to charge me more. He told us how much the temp was off and suggested we adjust the dial accordingly when using the oven. That was fine with us. It turned out that John was Matts father and John had started the business but is now 'retired' and only come out on jobs when Matt is very busy. Job done well and appreciated, would use them again.

I called the company and told him what was wrong. He said he knew what it probably was. He came to my house within one hour of the phone call with the repair part in his truck. He put in a new relay/overload, and the refridgerator was working like new within 30 minutes. Fantastic job!!!

I have a 27-yr-old stack washer/dryer and Matt is keeping it going. This visit he replaced the computer board and spent nearly a hour after the repair checking to see if everything worked. I like his work ethic and honesty. Although the charge may seem high, it's preferable to buying a new comparable unit at nearly $2000. I feel that and quot;they don't make appliances like they used toand quot; so I'm thrilled to have a reliable appliance guy who takes pride in his work.

Dryer was making a loud thumping noise. I called Matt and he came the next morning. He arrived earlier than apt. time and found the problem , installed the new belt and cleaned the inside of the dryer. Was professional and consise. We were really glad that we did not have to buy a new dryer!

Gasket/flap in freezer door still sticks sometimes and refrigerator and freezer seems not cool enough. Maybe have to call someone back out. Dishwasher did have leak, but the coupling he used was defective and we had three days of water dripping onto the subfloor and leaking into the basement. When I called to adivse of problem, he did not come out and repair that day, he made an appointment for the next day. In hindsight, I should have insisted he come out immediately--but I would have thought with a leaking problem, he would have made it a priority to come out no matter how late or early. He did provide advice on all my appliances on how to take care of them and answered all my questions.

I purchased the GE Profile Electric Self-Cleaning Range in May 2008. Within 2 years the front left burner stopped heating all together. I procastinated calling anyone to repair the burned out burner because we do not cook as often as we did when our children were younger and lived at home. I finally got around to addressing this issue in July 2012. Matt came out and indicated to me that he had not worked on one of these ranges before. After he disassembled the stove top, 1 hour or so, he determined that the burner element was non-functional. After calling his supplier, Matt indicated that the GE replacement part would cost him $150.00 or so and that if I wanted to phone GE and tell them my story I could probably get a better price for the same genuine GE part needed. Matt provided me with the part number and counseled me to call GE. I did so the next day, and after talking with 3-4 customer service persons and indicating to them that we did not use the burner much, GE sold me the new, fully warranted item for $68.00. This was less than half the price that Matt was quoted. We called Matt to come out to install the part and thanked him for his wise counsel in allowing us, and telling us how to call GE, to save so much money on the cost on the replacement part. We are very happy with Allied Appliance Maintenance and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have an appliance repaired without breaking the bank.

Come out promptly. Knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it within 10 minutes. Very courteous.

He did an excellent job and the good thing was that not only did he fix the refrigerator, but I requested that he let me vacuum behind the fridge. He actually scrubbed the floor for me! The fridge was about 18 years old and he was able and willing to fix it instead of suggesting we get another one. His prices were well worth it and we will definitely call him about.

I called Matt and he returned my call within the hour. He came over on very short notice and helped me with my LG washer. This was on a Friday at 430pm, Matt could have easily blown me off. However, Matt evaluated the washer and found the problem within 20mins. He had me order the part online to save me money, thats the $35 stated above. Matt will be back when the part comes in. He did not charge me a service cost either. This is best service you can ever ask for.

As he was the first time we used him, Matt was professional, prompt, and respectful of our home. I really. really appreciate all of the advice he gives during his service calls. Additionally, he was able to accommodate us in his schedule immediately, which enabled us to not lose any food.

Angie's list works!I had no idea where to turn to get a reliable repairman for my refrigerator. So, I looked at reviews on Angie's list and decided to call Allied Appliance Maintenance (he had good reviews). I called Matt to repair my refrigerator. Everything went very well. Matt is punctual, meticulous, polite, competent and fast. I like to see what repairman do so that I can understand. Matt is always pleased to explain things. He seems to carry a lot of the right replacement parts in his service truck. At the end, the most important thing... my fridge works! I was so pleased by his service level that I called him a second time for my dryer (good things always come in pair... right!). So, I called him today and he happened to be in my area as he finished a job earlier than expected. 15 minutes after my initial call he was home (coincidence... but hey! why not?). He changed the natural gas solenoid valve and my dryer was up and running within 75 minutes of my initial call! It's fun looking at him working (for people who are into that). He took apart and re-assembled my dryer faster than I could took apart and re-assembled my tinker toys when I was a kid. Anyway. The good knows what he is doing and charges reasonably.
