Hoban Pest Control

Description of Work: For our exterminator, we use Hoban. We have a seasonal contract with them. We use them year-round. They come out every season and treat.

Description of Work: Had a major mouse problem at our house and for one price they scheduled two visits and guarantee the work for 90 days. Haven't seen a mouse since they were here! Very nice to work with and easy to schedule.

Description of Work: They sprayed around the outside of our house to take care of a problem we were having with black ants. After the job was done, we didn't have a problem in 2014.

Description of Work: Our tenants complained that they had bugs and caught several in a jar. I called Hoban and then sent them a photo of the bugs. They confirmed they were bedbugs and came out the next day to treat the apartment. They did a very thorough job and the tenants never saw another bug. They also came back 2 weeks later to re-treat the area "just in case." The price seems pretty high, even for 2 treatments, but we were not in a position to shop around. I think it irksome that as the landlord we had nothing to do with causing the infestation, yet we must foot the bill for treating it! But we certainly did not want it to go untreated. So we are satisfied with the result. Thank goodness Hoban was so thorough.

Description of Work: We had used Hoban in the past for mice and were very satisfied with their service so we called them again when we heard evidence of something trapped in our firebox. This was outside their area of expertise, but they referred us to another professional who was able to deal with the problem promptly.

Description of Work: Treatment for carpenter ants. Was professional and explained everything in detail. Would use them again.

Description of Work: We had a problem with tiny black ants. My husband tried a couple of home remedies and nothing worked. We called Hoban Pest Control and they came the same day. He was quick, efficient, and informative why we were having this problem. We have not seen another ant! This is our second time using their services (hornets in the summer) and I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: They were able to advise me on a moth problem and show me how to care for it. They advised me on a possible entrance of the mice, baited traps (and returned to empty them), and sealed any possible sources of entry that they could find in the foundation. I have had no issues yet since they came. They were so much more professional than the other exterminator I had used the previous year, and they guarantee their work for three months.

Description of Work: Prompt and courteous service. Very professional. One suggestion - the folks work quickly so if you have questions, ask them! We wanted to know about types of pesticides and harm to pets and it wasn't offered so we had to ask.

The customer service was great when I first called - explained what they do, reviewed what we were experiencing at the house, and helped me figure out what made sense. I received an Angie's list discount and they scheduled the service two days out. They were very professional during the visit.

Description of Work: Got rid of carpenter ants found during residing of house. Came back out following construction and applied preventative spray to entire exterior of house plus trees and out building in yard.

Description of Work: I had a nest of yellow jackets in the eves and could hear them in the master bedroom. They injected a powder to kill them and treated the outside of the house. A little over a month later the bees were back, and Hoban's guarantees their work, so the second treatment was free.

Description of Work: We used Hoban Pest Control twice for removal of separate active hornets nests in our yard. On both occasions, their customer service was friendly and accommodating. Our service man, Matt, arrived on time, was friendly and polite, and explained the whole procedure of spraying and removing the nest, wasps and queen. He did a very thorough job, answered all my questions, and showed me the area after the job was completed. He offered to come back and remove any lingering wasp activity within 36 hours if needed, at no extra cost. We didn't have need to call him back--the wasps were gone for good! We would not hesitate to use Hoban again and highly recommend them. We definitely give them a two thumbs up!

Description of Work: Hoban provided exterminating for fleas. They were prompt, friendly, and very professional. They didn't just spray and leave,they took the time to explain what needed to be done, both on the phone, and with the technician.

Description of Work: They sprayed for bees and spiders. I can count on one hand how many bees and spiders were in the vicinity of my house. They were outstanding and I will definitely use them again next year.
